The creature was given a name by the superstitious Canadian who ultimately fell prey to the monster, La Cacanya. Still, this is a great redesign, she actually looks cool

La Cacanya. I'd forgotten that. I haven't seen the movie in years and years. Every good monster deserves a name.

Theres story that the director went to see the movie in a local theatre, and when the monster showed up the audiance laughed. So he left the theatre embarassed and punched his SFX director in the face! A much more respectful take on a terrible goofy monster.
