In G:DAMM, I can't seem to beat Adventure Mode with Gigan (not even on easy mode). I can get through the first half or so, but then get my butt whooped by Destoroyah. In fact, the last time I played, I wasted all my continues trying to beat Anguirus!

I have tried teleporting behind, but they seem to know I'm coming and since it takes a little bit after the teleporataion to make another move, I'm basically dead before I can pull off a grab move or the shotgun blast thingy.

If anyone has any tips for me that would help me beat the adventure mode with Gigan (w/out cheats), that would be really helpful. Thanks!

In any case, its a matter of training. You just need to play more and and just let go. More training=more skill and ability.
&nbsp; As for actual strategies specific to Gigan, I've developed my own style. I often use the &quot;helicopter spin,&quot; for lack of a better word. Its the one where you have Gigan spin around with his claws outstretched. Its easy and quick to use as well as effective.
&nbsp; There is also the way of hitting an enemy when he's down. Gigan is actually good at that, though its not surprizing cosidering that he's (in)famous for such underhanded tactics. If you manage to knock an opponent to the ground, use your forehead energy burst. Do it as many times as can be done. When you do it with full energy, you can do it up to three times. If you run out of energy kick your oppoent when he's down (literally). I've done double stomps.
&nbsp; A good stragety with Gigan or any other plaer is to keep the opponent in a corner. The green forcefield will not only restrict your opponent's movements but he will lose energy with each jolt from the field.
&nbsp; Tactics to avoid when using Gigan are grabs. Gigan does have good grabs and a good reach, but it is extremly slow. Do it only if you're absolutely sure it will work. As for teleport it is also risky. Unlike Megalon's digging or Rodan's flying, you can't control where you teleport. It is best used only as an escape tactic.
&nbsp; Well Rado, I hope this has proven helpful and I hope you have fun on your game!

<font color='#FF7F00'>Hmmm... I had mentioned this a long time ago and they said that I should use teleporting and grab moves. Oh well. I shall heed your advice, Obi. Wish me luck! http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

<font color='#810541'>use the teleport move, just as your above and behind the opponent push the &quot;x&quot; button and you will buzzsaw the back of there head plus u well fly out of range of any encluding the laser horn!

But it ofen doesent connect right so it might not hit,but u will still be out of range.

U can also control the derection of the warp with the control sticks.
With a light monster like gigan, dont let up!!
just get in there and combo.dodge with the warp and go at it some more

You need to practice string together attacks. He's great for that kind of combat. I don't focus on grappling as much, but one thing you can do with anymonster, is to hit them with a full beam blast (do it when they have low energy so they cant hit you). Then run up to them and hit them on the ground. Also attack there legs so they fall over, and you can do the same thing.

<font color='#32CD32'>Gigan is physically weak, the second weakest after Rodan, so you have to use hit and run strategies. His teleportation than buzzsaw attack can be quite effective, but the best thing to do is get Rage and use his Rage attack. It's one of the most powerful Rage attack in the game, and can take down almost half a life bar if you can repededly hit your foe, or juggle them against a wall.

My freinds just got a GameCube and bought GDAMM. I played it and it is awesome!

Review:

This is one of the most funest, coolest, and most Godzilla-ish game ever! The graphics are amazing and I love the introduction. I love the people sceaming and the guy yelling &quot;GODZILLA!!!!!&quot;. http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/intears.gif I love it how they have two different kinds of Godzillas. But the game shoud have more monsters. They should put in Gorosaurus, King Kong, Manda, Little Godzilla, and tons more! But the game is still really good. My fav monster in the game is Godzilla 2000! He's just so plain cool! 5/5 http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

Good:

- Great graphics

- The monsters have much more abillities!

- ORGA?!?!? AWESOME!

- You can play two player and you and your freind can not fight, but destroy the city together!

- RAGE!!!!(That's so painfully awesome) http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/intears.gif

- MOTHRA AIR STIKE!!!!

Bad:

- Why don't the monsters have those kinds of abillities in the movies?!?!?

- Not very much monsters. http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nonono2.gif

- Takes you forever to get new monsters and citys. http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nonono2.gif

Anyone played this awesome and fun game?!?!? http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ?http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ?http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ?http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ?http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Well, I have both versions, and the X-Box version is totally superior. If I were you, I'd buy the X-Box version (and an X-Box if you don't already have one). There is a whole ton more to offer.

Uploadable Soundtracks
New monster (Kiryu)
Better Graphics
Single Player Destruction
Optional Computer Player Battles
New Arenas (Boxing Ring, Vortaak Homeplanet)
Downloadable content from XB Live (Basically a new Arena)
Multiple Files

All of that. Though, the GCN version sold more (I believe). It may be because more kids love Godzilla than any other age group, and GCN is the most accesible system for new gamers age 7-12 (most likely. Plus, cheapest).

I prefer games like HALO and WAR OF THE MONSTERS more, but yeah, this game is pretty cool.

<font color='#FF7F00'>Gamecube, but there's no point right now. Since my last post I've returned to Connecticut without my Gamecube, so I really can't try it for another few months.

^ That and you just need to have a little bit of a strategy when fighting him. He is very cheap cause he is so in love with that horn of his. What you also can do is run around him in circles and try to cause some damage to him by hitting him when you have and an opening. Plus you can pick him up to perform an attack, and while he is down, recharge your beam and then by the time he gets up, release it.

1. I saw Hedorah only once in the game, how do you draw him out?

2. Wasnt Kiryu supposed to be in the game?

3. Whats the best way to unlock all the Pictures in the Galler?\

I need some answers, thanks a bunch.

RadoGoji
April 26th, 2004, 08:28 PM
<font color='#32CD32'>1. Hedorah comes in at random

2. Kiryu is only in the Xbox version

3. Just go around and destroy buildings until you find the Atari symbol in that level. If you want to try this, pick out a formidable monster, since the other monster is going to want to kill you the whole time. Otherwise, use the cheat for infinite health.

Does the Xbox version of Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee playable on Xbox Live? Am thinking of getting it on X-box. But if the game doesnt play on Xbox live I wont get it because i have the Gamecube version. The only reason why I would get it was to play online with others.

BS Digital Q
July 6th, 2004, 06:53 PM
I don't think there is, as the box gives no indications of online play. However, I think there are some downloadable maps (not sure of that info).

PyrasTerran
July 6th, 2004, 08:03 PM
But there is so much more reasons to get the Xbox version:

1) better destruction graphics
2) better response time with controls and destruction
3) more levels
4) Kiryu
5) download songs into the Xbox for your very own soundtrack for the game(for example, playing the game with friends while Matrix music or real Godzilla music or whatever is playing in the background

So yeah. Besides, if youg et the Xbox now you can get Godzilla: Save The Earth, which will have Xbox Live capabilities as well as downloadable content as well as great graphics opposed to the PS2 version.

You want to get the XboX. It's great when you can fight and actually have the music from GMK or the Orignal Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla. It helps alot, You should get the XboX.

Well, I got a really good look at the box at G-Fest, and it does support Xbox Live!

That cant be, it doesnt have the online label.

GDAMM for the XBox supports downloadable content, NOT ONLINE PLAY! So far, only one item has been available for download. That item is a city called Thrashburg.

Hey all,

How do I save my progress on the hard drive in adventure mode. Whenever I select my profile and use it with adventure mod, it goes all the way back from where I started. :(

Please help.

Thanks.

You can't save progress in Adventure mode, just progress in the game as a whole.

What is you monster that you fight best with? Wanna chat about GDAMM? I heard that Vortkk homeworld is in the game, but I haven't found it. I fight best with Rodan (no Duh) and King Ghidorah. Sorry to waste your time. My friend said that GINO is in G:STE. I want to get that game since Baragon is in it, but I have a GC. UHHHG! Oh, well, I like DAMM, and I'm the best player on this side of Gary IN.

Peace out

in DAMM I was best with Godzilla (90's, then 2000)

in STE I was best with Godzilla (90's), Then Space Godzilla, Then King Ghidorah, Then Godzilla (2000), and Then Orga.

I have never lost a match in either game. My brother and freinds usually don't like to play with me any more, because I kick their butts every time. Even when they are all three against me.

Yeah, I fought my pal Becky with DAMM, and she beat me about 7 times. I should have never given her that tutorial! SHE DESTROYED ME!!!! Godzilla 2000 vs. King Ghidorah!! Godzilla lost! Should GINO be in the next gen Godzilla game? The AG movie was a feasco! Wikipedia was right!

Here's a messege from Becky:
A simple note saying that I had never played that game before in my life! :kingg::exclam::exclam::exclam:

Please. Megaguirus rips into both of them. I am tied with Megaguiurs, Orga, and Rodan. Followed closely by King Ghidorah and Destroyah.

As for GINO in any game.... No, just no.... But I am wondering what is going to happen with the third Goji game. Hopefully it comes out on all the systems...

I'm pathetic with all others.
