I just bought City of Heroes. It's an online game where you can create your own superhero/team and you play in an online world with others, fighting evil.

Has anyone played this game yet?

<font color='#32CD32'>I've heard of this, but I haven't played it before. Looks really good, though it's hard to imagine a city full of superheroes. Who's gonna protect what? http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

This game looks pretty fun.. do you need to pay a monthly fee? &nbsp; My computer probably wouldn't be able to handle the game anyway, but just curious.

Yeah, you get one month free but after that it's $14.95 a month, or a discount for multiple months or year.

I've heard much of this game, and I think I'll have to consider purchasing it. &nbsp; Can you use power-armor-clad guys, y'know, like Iron Man, Rocketeer, Boba Fett (yeah, I know he's no super hero, just an example), etc. etc. etc. types? &nbsp;Don't worry, I don't intend to model a character after one of these guys, (I'm not so unoriginal) I just had some ideas in mind that call for a guy clad head-to-toe in a big, shiny suit with nifty gadgets...

Yeah, you can create just about any hero. Definitely Iron man, (I've seen a spider man) but just about anyone. The only thing is that there are no capes. But it is much cooler to create your own original hero. I've teamed up with other heroes to take down some evil gangs. Soon, we'll tackle some bigger threats. But it is fun when you are on patrol alone and you see another hero in trouble. Whether it is a big villain or if he or she is just way outnumbered, then you can literally jump in and save your fellow heroes butt and save the day. The cities are huge so you can spend a lot of time just exploring.

Quote[/b] (kritaya @ May 23 2004,18:18)]This game looks like so much fun. But there's no offline play, right?
That's the only downside, so I would suggest that you should have a hi-speed connection like cable, dsl, broadband and/or etc. before I'd get this game.

I'm waiting for City of Villains. &nbsp; Can't wait to create my own Joker clone... He's always been my fav villain.

All hail the clown prince of crime!

this is one of the coolest online fighter games i've played. there's 2 games: Project DDF 2nd, and the sequil, Project DDF 3rd. there great games. the girst game has 1 of 3 characters for you to play as, Danpo the duck, Ours the Bear, and Loup the Weasil (i think he;s a weasil). you fight all of them, yourself included, and at the end face off against a strange, illusion controlling black creature called Gloom. you can actually play as Gloom, but i dont know how. its basic controls, S F and E to move, and then J and K for attacks. there's a ton of combos for each character, and a power bar that comes with a super attack when its full.

DDF 3rd is much better, with the added character Topo, a mole, and better graphics and better attacks, and more modes, including 2 player (but the 2 player stinks cause you can only use regular controls and then the numbers along the top, so you got 2 people playing on top of each other) its also got a story this time around, but the final scene doesn't make much sense, as you cant tell whether you or Gloom is talking. other than a couple glitches (and the reset button directly next to the jump button; this leads to a good number of "OH #$%^" moments) the game is simple and really really fun, once you get the hand of it.

here's DDF 3rd, and DDF 2nd is on the page before it.

age of conan: Hyborian Adventures (http://pc.ign.com/articles/606/606369p1.html)

it's a single player online game. you don't actually play as conan. the game takes place during the period when conan is king. you'll get to meet him in the game though. the game looks awesome.

How many of you lucky *******s have this game? I'm looking for folks to play with. I can be found in the Justice server, usually under Terra-Pulse if not Pyras Terran.

Lucky ******* here! I've been addicted to this game for over a year now and I've been having a good time and made some cool friends on it. We even use something called teamspeak where we talk to each other with mics while we play.

I'm on the Liberty server, It's pretty cool there and whenever I go on I can always count on a friend or 2 being on. Too bad you can't carry over a toon to another server.

maybe i'll create one there and we could play sometime.

BTW, my superheroine on liberty server is "Electra Dame".

My brother bought it thinking it was a regular PC game until he found out otherwise. Boy did that piss him, and even me, off!

I'm on the Liberty server as well, under the name of "Keizer." Unfortunately, my friend has the game, and I haven't been able to play much, but if you guys see someone called Keizer, thats probably my friend. Oh, and my friend uses the character "Captain Checkmate."

I just though, what if Kaijuphile had it's own clan for online games? If you like this idea, add the tag [KP] to your online chars and ally with others of the same tag, or, if it's necessary, start it withing your game! Ally with all other [KP]s unless absoloutley necessary, I know I'm going to start it in Savage, and urge you to do the same!

Ok guys and those lovely Kaiju ladies, i just got a high speed connection and i wanna play some PS2 games, but i dont wanna pay for a crappy online fee *cough everquest *cough. So i was thinking maybe we could all contribute and build up a list of fee free online games for PS2. Sound Fun? Good it better be. I would appreciate it.

I suggest Time Spittlers Future Perfect for PS2. Good fun FPS. And there is a free MMORPG you could try. Guild Wars I heard a few good things about it.
