Lizardgeek
vs.
Eternal Mothra

LG: 5
EM: 5
ABSTAIN:
-----------

Arena #1: Watchtower, Control Room Level
The watchtower is the only really visible structure on the island, and as such is appropriately disguised to resemble a lighthouse. At the top sits the control rooms, each of the four guarded by a sentry drone at their respective entrances in the circular hallway. All of the rooms are strangely enough quite and empty, beyond the various computer consoles lying around. Besides the aforementioned drones, each room has a massive set of windows looking out to the surrounding area, so any Roost Fighter unfortunate enough to be thrown out should expect a one-hundred foot descent down.
Location: Level 1, Ground Station
Hazards: None.
Enemies: Four sentry drones with miniguns.
-----------

Lizardgeek
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 175 lbs
Fighting Style: Odysseus Sword Arts

Affiliations: None

Weapons: Aeon’s Blade; Calcos Shield; teeth and claws; prehensile tail; climbing; can kick higher than head

Strength: 7
Speed: 8
Reflexes: 9
Intelligence: 10
Acrobatics: 7

Movelist
Titan’s Bloody Rage (Lizardgeek picks up his foe, stabs them several times, then slams them on the ground)
Dune Riser (Lizardgeek does a slash uppercut attack)
Moon Cycle (Lizardgeek executes a somersault kick)
Snake Deceit (Lizardgeek uses his tail to grab the foe by the ankles, then draws them in and stabs them)

Method of Attack: Lizardgeek’s vast intelligence is his greatest asset in battle, allowing him to outwit his enemy and strike in the right places. This, combined with his great reflexes, can be the downfall of many a foe. Lizardgeek is reliant on counterattacks and unpredictability, which makes him a frustrating opponent. His prehensile tail allows him to grab other objects and use these to his advantage. Lizardgeek’s only real weakness is that his armour is scarce, and that his strength is not as good as his speed or intellect. However, these weaknesses are hard to exploit.

-----------

Eternal Mothra
Length: 6'2"
Weight: 220 lbs

Fighting Style: None

Affiliations: FBHSKA

Weapons: Electric scales (from wings); energy absorption; antennae ray

Strength: 7
Speed: 8
Reflexes: 7
Intelligence: 9
Acrobatics: 8

Method of Attack: Eternal Mothra is an intelligent, valiant creature who will fight for what he believes in. He prefers to stay on the defensive, countering and dodging enemy attacks and striking out accordingly. Eternal Mothra can absorb up to 50% of the power of energy attacks (eg Hadouken), and it protects him from the attack’s damage also. His electric scales are effective at keeping enemies away from him in close range, and his antennae ray is quite impressive. On the negative side, Eternal Mothra’s strength and reflexes are only fair, and he has been known to question his actions in the middle of a battle (by nature, he is a pacifist). However, these are countered by Eteneral Mothra’s otherwise superb intelligence, speed, and air combat.

This is a very difficult battle to decide upon, however I am slightly leaning toward Eternal Mothra in this one, because he has the ability of flight. Since LizardGeek and EM both are evened out in strength and speed, it will make things a bit more tricky. They also are pretty close in intelligence. However, EM has his electrical scales, which will allow him to subdue his enemy.

Winner: Eternal Mothra

While Eternal Mothra has flight, scales, and antenna rays, Lizardgeek is gifted with sheer intelligence. Also, I would say his shield is gifted with magic power (unlike Sunstream's), so it can block the beams. Also, Lizardgeek is quick to spot and exploit weaknesses. He will outsmart EM, find a way to bring him down, than finish the job.

Knowing his track record, I don't doubt he could think up a way to use the sentry drones against EM.

He very well may be able to protect himself from the beams, but he can't protect himself from the scales. EM is not dumb, he is also intelligent. Also, he has superior acrobatics. He mainly relies upon air attacks as well. Most of his attacks are physically oriented, if EM uses his scales first, and manages to distract, or inflict pain upon LizardGeek, he'll be able to attack him with his antenna beams.

And ANOTHER debate thread is spawned...

I believe EternalMothra will win. Lizardgeek is stuck on the ground while EM can simply fly up and blast away with the antennae beam and the scales.

Eternal Mothra wins.

While she can dodge and weave in the air, she can attack Lizard Geek who can't block all the attacks at once that will be coming from EM and the bots.

While close (and a most likely almost dead EM), EM live slonger, and thus lives.

Reason: Lizardgeek hides while the bots open up on EternalMothra. Lizardgeek uses the knowledge he gains from watching EM battle the bots to exploit EM to the fullest.

EM goes in the fight not knowing a heckuva lot about his opponent, but LG goes in knowing what his opponent battles like, and exploits that.

LG wins, in my opinion.

I was oing to vote EM, but knowing Lizardgeek who manages to beat Morgoth, I am more than sure that useing the bots to his advantage to see EM's stratigies will help him in the end. Not to mention EM likes to second guess himself way too much, which will help LG in the long run.

I couldn't help but to notice Roost Fighter. A very interesting section of the forum, I hope I can vote. If so, I say Eternal Mothra for this one. LizardGeek is ground-based, and EM can easily fly circles around him. With the sentries disturbing LG, EM will use the distraction to his advantage and attack the beast.

Yes, you can vote. Thanks for doing so.

Lizardgeek likes to hide and observe his foes until he knows JUST what angle and weapons to use to attack from. he'll watch enternalmothra fight off the bots, and then move in and win the fight in three or four moves.

besides, EM is cramped and loses most of his/her flight ability on this battlefield.

Guys, you are overating Lizardgeeks intelligence advantage. EternalMothra is smart in his own right, and I'd doubt he'd be so easily distracted.

It doesn't matter if he is cramped in a bit, as long as he can fly out of Lizardgeeks range, who by the way, HAS NO WAY EFFICIENT WAY TO DEAL WITH ETERNALMOTHRA IN FLIGHT, and pummel LG with energy weaponry.

If he does that, then takes out the sentry guns, he has this set.

Reason: The arena handicapps both fighters.

EM will have to fight the drones one way or another, and considering how many there are, he'd have a while to play with them. However, they also prevent Lizardgeek from analyzing EM and force him to hide somewhere. The only places where he can hide would prevent him from watching EM in turn. However, by the time EM is done, he will be very tired. This makes easy prey for LG, who will hide and wait for EM to get rid of the menacing turrets. This is what makes him win the match.

DEADLOCK!

Lizardgeek's body flew out of the control room of the observatory tower, eventually landing upon the rock, intestines splattered across. Meanwhile, Eternal Mothra, tired from the fight, found herself under assault from two of the minigun armed sentry drone turrets. His fighting spirit gone, the kaijin fell easily to the automated weapons.

The cameras of the drones focused on the corpse. Satisfied that the target was dead, they turned their weapon systems offline.
