Why Beauty?
If you have any ideas why beauty killed The eighth wonder of the world, or if you think he committed suicide, I'd like to hear your side.

Man these members here are going to tear you apart.
Just a warning.

Heh, I won't tear you apart, but to be short and sweet, beauty "killed" the beast in the sense that he was captured by the team in the first place because he wanted Ann back. Had he not become attached to Ann, he would have never found himself falling from the tallest building in the world (at that time, anyway).

was kind of a lopsided relationship. Kong was able to protect her from his world, but once he moves in with ann, things got all weird, and she couldn't protect him from her world. A partnership of survival has to be a two-way street.

"kong say kong a little dissapointed, chuck. kong read ann say ann 5'7" in internet dating chat. kong thought was joking.then kong see her. maybe ann just far away, maybe ann standing in wonder spot. but NO..."

I read Mad's Kong parody issue and it was suicide! It was a retelling of Kong 1976 and we see Kong fighting the choppers atop the Twin Towers. Dawn (remember its parody ;) ) says Kong, dodge those bullets, Kong, be careful, Kong you never listen to me, Kong you don't take me out anymore! At this, Kong is so sick he jumps off the Towers to his death:laugh: ! A pilot said, with her blabbing at him, no wonder he jumped!

:p :) :D

Beauty didn't kill the beast. Beauty didn't make him climb up the Empire State Building. He could have continued to run like he had been, and to climb down.

It was his own instincts and inability to change his ways that allowed the planes to shoot him down.

Easily things could have been different if Kong had decided on a different plan of action.

Well, there's also the fact that Kong didn't know that humans had flying death machines, aka fighter planes. If not for those, Kong would've been fine all the way up there.

Exactly. And once he did, he should have changed tactic and gotten down off that sucker.

But alas, it would not make for such a dramatic ending!

The problem is, Kong doesn't have any understanding of human weaponry. He doesn't know that those planes could shoot him from afar. Once he knew that, it was too late. If he had tried to take his time to climb back down, that would have made him even more of a sitting duck, and he wouldn't have been able to have any chance at fighting back while making the effort to climb down.

I actually think Kong commited suicide. Here is something that he loved and would never be able to keep safe forever so one last hurrah, to let them know Kong was here and he didn't take crap from nobody or nuttin. You could see it in his eyes that last moment befor he took a short walk off that tall tall building.... a million miles from home lost in the big city... screw it i'm out... at least he loved something enough to die for it....
