T5: WEAPONS
That’s right, boys - you can’t use your own weapons, so you’ll have to find some. Below are the weapons you can find scattered around Hell, along with a list of ammo refills available.
Berserker Fist
Strength: Boosts character strength to 10+
Ammunition: None
Ammo Count: None
A classic weapon since the days of Street Fighter. Slap on that knuckleduster and watch your enemies fly back in a shower of blood and gore. Nasty!
–
Chainsaw
Strength: 3 (rapid-fire)
Ammunition: None
Ammo Count: None
The ‘great communicator’ is useful for those situations when you really need to rip and tear into someone at close quarters. You don’t need a gun; guns are for wusses.
–
Pistol
Strength: 3
Ammunition: Bullets
Ammo Count: 200
The standard firearm for every character, the service pistol is the weakest weapon at your disposal. Better save it for a desperate situation.
–
Shotgun
Strength: 5
Ammunition: Shells
Ammo Count: 100
Now we’re talking. The shotgun will probably be your workhorse, dealing out decent damage at a fine rate of fire. Good for most combat situations.
–
Super Shotgun
Strength: 7
Ammunition: Shells (2 consumed per shot)
Ammo Count: 100
The deathmatch weapon of choice, the Super Shotgun kicks badly, but has incredible stopping power. You can trust this killing machine to get the job done.
–
Chaingun
Strength: 3 (rapid-fire)
Ammunition: Bullets
Ammo Count: 200
The hell with respect. The chaingun has a rapid rate of fire and can deal out some good damage in a short amount of time. You can’t go wrong with this weapon.
–
Minigun
Strength: 3 (rapid-fire)
Ammunition: Bullets
Ammo Count: 200
Now here’s one nasty dude. The minigun can rape your enemies of life in mere seconds with its ultra-fast rate of fire. Good as a precision weapon or as a cleaner of crowded rooms.
–
Rocket Launcher
Strength: 7
Ammunition: Rockets
Ammo Count: 100
This is a weapon as dangerous to its user as the enemy. One rocket can splatter your enemy, but used carelessly, you may end up killing yourself. Best used to pick off foes at a distance.
–
Grenade Launcher
Strength: 6
Ammunition: Rockets
Ammo Count: 100
A more strategic weapon than the rocket launcher, but just as deadly. This one fires one haphazard grenade which explodes either on contact with an enemy, or after two seconds without contact. Use this one to get enemies out of those spots you dare not go.
–
Plasma Rifle
Strength: 5 (rapid-fire)
Ammunition: Plasma
Ammo Count: 600
Now we’re cooking with gas! The Plasma Rifle rapidly fires blue bolts of energy at a super-fast rate, bringing down enemies within seconds. Spray this around in a crowded room and watch the confusion.
–
Railgun
Strength: 8
Ammunition: Plasma (5 consumed per shot)
Ammo Count: 600
If there was ever a weapon requiring laser precision, this is it. The railgun shoots a deadly stream of plasma which can rip the life out of an opponent. However, using it effectively requires insane accuracy.
–
BFG 9000
Strength: 10
Ammunition: Plasma (40 consumed per shot)
Ammo Count: 600
Take the acronym of this gun however you want, but it doesn’t change the fact that this gun is annihilation incarnate. One blast can instantly slag an opponent, and anyone within the vicinity will suffer from its splash. Good for taking out boss characters.
–
BFG 10K
Strength: 9 (rapid-fire)
Ammunition: Plasma (5 consumed per shot)
Ammo Count: 600
Though not quite as impressive as its younger brother, this gun is still something to be feared. The BFG 10K has an extreme rate of fire and deals about as much damage as the rocket launcher. As with the rocket launcher, however, don’t use this in close range.
