Hmmm.... the new monster is Zedus... not Jiras.
I like Zedus better anyways.
My excitement for this film went up, and I want to see this as soon as I can. Zedus looks incredibly awesome especially in that photo of him climbing the skyscraper. I wonder what is with that mysterious red stone... sounds like they'd make more Gamera films if this movie does well. I can only hope it does, we need some entertainment until Godzilla comes back.

What an entrance for SciFi Japan! Nice work.
I'm finally getting excited for this film. Zedus looks great, and from the synopsis it sounds like he has a lot in common with GINO and even Barugon (the latter being in regards to the damaging tongue). I actually don't mind the new Gamera either, because it's now more obvious what his role in the story is. It's more logical than having a design similar to the one in Gamera 3. The plot does sound a bit run-of-the-mill, but so long as the final product proves to be entertaining, I couldn't really care less. Here's hoping...

Oh, how opinions change so fast. Sorry, have to be a jerk.
Zedus sounds cool (the true name feels better too), and looks like he could give even any Toho monster a run for it's money.
You all know I have always liked the new Gamera suit, so I think this be a good one.

Wow, this is actually shaping up to be a good little monster film to start off with. While very immature compared to Kaneko's series it stays true to Gamera.

Am I still the only person who noticed that Gamera looks like a friggin pond turtle?
It does look pretty promising however. I like the direction the SFX dude wants to take with the destruction of buildings.

Perhaps, since he's just recently been born, he is still in a juvenile stage of life. It's a thought.

Zedus is lookin' to be a favorite of mine. Iam beginning to live with Gameras head and face (Now that theres a much better shot of it) but the body is looking like the Showa one to much. Flat. But the better plot description has brought this up in my book.

This movie really is looking good. The director is taking a good and modest direction, while leaving enough room for later films if this one is successful. Story-wise it sounds like a good balance also. It has a sort of "less is more" feeling to it, while still having so much put into it. Zedus sounds awesome and him being a total tooth and claw fighter is refreshing too. Then there's more good news: the world-wide marketing.

My opinion is always changing about this movie. At first I diddnt like the idea at all, but now I am looking forword to it. Zedus looks awesome. I am very happy the title isnt Little Braves anymore. You know... it never said that the old Gamera died...I wonder if the red stone has anything to do with him. Huh.
Great site BTW!

I also like how this is a much more lower profile anniversary film of sorts for Gamera as opposed to the loud, big budget disappointment that was GFW. It seems everyone knows that kaiju films aren't popular at the moment and they are trying to give this film a much thicker plotline to play with.

I wonder if this supposed to take place after the showa timeline?
Anyways, I am liking this more and more. I like the idea of the building destruction. It also sounds we may get some good kaiju action scens, (the first gamera vs. zedus, the final battle, and possibly a flashback showing gamera fighting off the gyos.)
I am wondering if the red stone somehow ends make gamera more powerful, but has to do something with kid? Mabey he realizes just as gameras about to die and the kind is giving up hope, he realizes that he should not give up on gamera and the stone glows and gamera becomes more powerful or does a super attack? Just some thoughts.
Its cool that Zedus is going to be tooth and claw, I hope fans(including myself) end up loving him. He might make a cool eddition to arguing on kaiju battles with like 10 pages of "dicussion". Hmmm.

No. From the SciFi Japan article: "the latest film is set in a “totally different world” from the previous Gamera movies and has no direct connection to events in any of the earlier films."
