Just wanted to drop a line for all the fans of classic horror and science fiction out there. This wonderful 264 page massive hardcover by, Mark A. Vieira is a treasure trove of photos and info for Hollywood horror and sci-fi from the earliest days of silent cinema up until 1968. It has 260 gorgeous and pristine black and white photographs, some of which are being seen for the first time in this book. Please keep in mind though that the content is just as the title says, so I'm afraid that you won't find chapters dedicated to Japanese monsters or classic Hammer horror, it is strictly Hollywood productions. It is actually around 3 years old seeing that it was published back in 2003, but I just found it recently for the first time. Having just departed our annual 24 hour science fiction marathon I was awash in nostalgia and decided to check out the Barnes and Noble right next door to the theater and managed to come across this spectacular find. But be warned, it ain't cheap, $45.00 was the price tag. I am guessing that it can be found at any Barnes and Noble and probably on line as well. Happy hunting one and all.:)
