Roostville is a fictional city where the members of Rodan's Roost: The Kaiju Site live. There is a Welcome (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/CofC.html), History (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/history.html) and somewhat of an explanation (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/roostville.html) on THE WEBSITE (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/) also.
The background stories in the tale ROOSTVILLE: In the Beginning (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/IntheBeginning.html) is in addition to profiles on many of the round robin participants; kind of a guide to the almost real setting they have created.
Q: Are the characters (members) in the round robins humans or their creation/avatars?
And if they are not humans, could you put who you are in this topic?
A: We can all display our human sides or kaiju/personna attributes as the situation calls for (like being human around humans so they don't get stepped on).
Everyone pretty much participates as their avatar/screen name or as described in their profiles.
Other threads flesh out the lay of the land and previous Round Robins did much to establish how the various characters react to some of the most inplausible situations imaginable!
The creator (instigator?) of Roostville, Gamingboy, is now Mayor of Roostville.
The 90 story Godzilla Tower which housed Morgoth's (the first Mayor of Roostville) lavishly appointed penthouse somehow got destroyed in one of the later tales and the site became part of a certain plot by several prominent characters.
There is a definite ORDER the tales should be read in to make sense of SOME things, even if they were not written in sequence. The website will have the "read order" so events should fall into place pretty well.
Rodan2000 - Jalepino Club:
Me and my uncle got together and made up our little gang and called ourselves Jalepino Brothers. It all really started when we both agreed to eat a Jalepino slice whenever we went to a resturant that had them. Next thing you know, Roostville is home to the first and only Jalepino Club!

In addition to the Time Line reference for the stories, it has been worked into the "History" section also.
The massive amount of info on the site will no doubt generate further GENERAL questions and having them all in one place makes it handy. Story DISCUSSION topics can take care of plots, what the characters might be up to, etc.

Quote[/b] (Raptor @ May 30 2004,15:38)]Have a look at the active Round Robins, particularly "Everyday Life in the Roost" which is also being used for introductory profiles. The web site (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/) has others for examples as well as details on the town and the completed stories that established it.
Don't forget to follow the Timeline! http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Is there anything you have to do to join Roostville:confused: ? It would be greatly appreciated if someone could tell me what to do.

you need a character to have in the stories. then, you're gonna want to check the time line, and see when you'd like to introduce the character, and that's basically it. just be careful in the new ones, cause there's sme big plans we've got in them.

I have a question. How do you play/take part in Roostville and do you have to come and type something everyday/week etc. ?

There are several ways. Of course, the easiest is just reading what everyone else has posted.
More fun IMO is ADDING TO the various scenarios presented in the the round robins and/or participating in their discussion topics.
There is no requirement whatsoever about remaining "active" in the tales. Initially, folks just got "written in" and that's been going on ever since. If you would like to "join" the community, feel free to "introduce" yourself (character-wise). Lots of people like being a "bad guy" so the Evil Lair is ideal for that. The Jalepino Club is more of a "good guy" hang-out but I believe they're out on a "quest" right now.
EVERYDAY LIFE IN THE ROOST is another good place for an introductory post. The WEB SITE (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/) has a whole bunch of background info on locations, character profiles, etc.

BTW, Roostville DOES NOT have TeleTubbies in its stories like RF does! Check out The Night Life over there!

The Night Life is non-canon anyway...

Yeah, but we get to kill them in horrifying ways! What's not to love?

Does Roostville have a sort of armory that Crimson Water could plunder? They are on foreign grounds afterall and if they plan on conquest they'll want that extra muscle to back them besides just their soldiers. (I'm thinking tanks and vehicles)

Funny you should just mention that! We've got the the Roostville Militia (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/militia.html) but no "armory", per se. About the closest thing would be the City Bu (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/government.html#ID4)ster (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/government.html#ID4) but taking it might be a "problem"...
Check the parking lots while you're at it. There will no doubt be several "non-stock" vehicles about with machine guns and such. Look at Gamingboy's car! You guys do know how to hot wire, right? ;)
Of course, once the local populace figures out what's up with Crimson Water, it might not be as easy as you think to just "help yourselves"!

Is Lord Desturoia Khandejifer Khan and Desu before they seperated into 2 entities? I'm getting confused since it was said that Desutoria was supposed to team up with Bruce instead of Khan, and I wrote him as being Khan based on the earlier part mentioning him as Lord Desutoria Khandejifer. So should we make them seperate in this story somehow or what's going on?
Also with the whole Burkion issue and Blue Devil, might we have to start over with this whole thing or just scrap it depending on what happens?

Is Lord Desturoia Khandejifer Khan and Desu before they seperated into 2 entities? The RV SEPARATION OF DESUTOROIA: Desutoroia X Khandejifer! (http://roostville.kaijuphile.com/SeparationDes.html) tale doesn't take place until AFTER RV vs. RF for one thing. Also, this a non-canon event for both franchises.
I'm getting confused since it was said that Desutoria was supposed to team up with Bruce instead of Khan, and I wrote him as being Khan based on the earlier part mentioning him as Lord Desutoria Khandejifer. RV Desu is properly Lord Desutoroia Khandejifer while RV Khan is Lord Zarak Khandejifer. So should we make them seperate in this story somehow or what's going on?They ARE separate characters. As well, it might get even more confusing because Desu is also a Roost Fighter character. ;)
Also with the whole Burkion issue and Blue Devil, might we have to start over with this whole thing or just scrap it depending on what happens? Not at all IMO. We do have the PLOT ideas thread, as well as an outline as to what we had hoped to see take place in the match up. Right now, the story itself seems to be ready for a big showdown. Personally, does Who gets to off the Mayor? (http://www.kaijuphile.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7177) bring any ideas to mind? :darklord: Still, I believe Neo also had planned on certain things occuring for the big finale. Him and Bruce might want to consult a bit as to which characters should receive major attention.
Rez and Crimson Water are running their mouth on RV TV and Blue Devil is in the center of town preening and ranting: "I am called the Blue Devil but soon enough..you will all be calling me master." he said as he grinned evilly. "Oh, I've got a long list of things to call you, you son of a-" Bruce started but was cut off by another flash of lightning and the Blue Devil's twisted laughter.
"We have big plans for all of you." Blue Devil said. "But first...I give you MY HERALDS!"Let's see what happens next, shall we? :darklord:
