<font color='#0000FF'>Grand Ghidorah os one of the few Kaiju I give a chance against Barugon without any mirrored surfaces. He wipes out planets for a living- And while Barugon's ray is extremely powerful, GKG isn;t exactly weak in the durability department.

I think I'd give it to Grand Ghidorah though. He's shown some insane fortitude *getting blasted by Rainbow Mothra's beams and showing no effects, still fighting when one wing is blasted off* plus his own arsenal of beams and bolts are extremly dealy, and lets not forget he's not too shabby in the physical combat department.

Grand Ghidorah vs. Barugon
Well to me it seems that Grand Ghidorah would win this qiute easily. All Grand Ghidorah would have to do is blast Barugon from the sky.
Winner- Grand Ghidorah

Though Barugon has nasty accuracy...
But Grand Ghidorah should still be able to win.

He may not exactly come out looking the most pleasant after the fight, but GKG has the power, and the tenacity worthy of a Guardian Beast... or everyone's favorite spiky "armadillo"...

I thought Barugons rainbow beam would be able to hurt him?

Grand Ghidorah. Though Barugon is no ushover, Grand Ghidorah isn't exactly a wimp, either, and has all the beamy goodness he needs to blast Barugon into bits. I mean, GKG exterminates entire planets to satisfy his hunger... I doubt if even Barugon can stand up to that kind of power.
Peace,

Barugon wins without breaking a sweat. He freezes Ghidorah then uses his Rainbow Beam to shatter the goldern dragon into tiny ice cubes.

Go watch Mothra 3, GG isn't that dumb or weak.

I didn't say he was dumb or weak. Once he's frozen he's done for. That pretty much sums up my one post. Anything that gets frozen by Barugon is in serious trouble. And I think GG is in trouble.
The Great MM

Dude, it only freezes the out side not the insides. GG isn't gonna "shatter" and the rainbow will just melt it or he will brake out with sheer strength.

Quote[/b] (kent @ Mar. 28 2004,00:02)]Well then lemme redo my post here....
Barugon freezes GG. While GG is frozen, Barugon uses his rainbow to mortally wound GG. Plus Barugon can take quite a beating himself physically.
The Mist only works at close-range, though, and GKG is a really beam-happy monster, meaning he's not likely to go in close that often.

physically. GKG doesn't do physivcal fights.

<font color='#0000FF'>With his array of beams, getting close doesn;t make any sense.
GKG isn;t getting frozen anytime soon.

He does, true, but he rarely ever has to close to that range.

I’ll start with assuming that Barugon, by some miracle, never hits GKG with the rainbow ray.
So, GKG pelts the cheese out of the poor lizard from such a distance that Barugon can’t hit him with the ice mist. Once Barugon is sufficiently injured GKG moves to savage him up close and gloat. Just like he did to Mothra. Then and pops the tongue and…
KA-Frozen!
And yes, the mist does freeze things solid. It was specifically stated in Gamera Vs Barugon that it does.
So there’s one way Barugon could win, although he would be quite injured in the process. Here’s the other.
The rainbow ray would penetrate GKG deflector shield and damage him just as AM heat beam did, so there’s nothing to lessen the damage. And as I’m sure we’re all aware the rainbow ray is inanely powerful. It would be enough to stagger GKG, if not severely injure him.
My call? Barugon. To win GKG would have to be able to kill Barugon without the ice lizard landing a single hit on him. I just can’t see that happening.

Solid as in the outside where they can still use strength to brake out. If it froze the insides two, Gamera would have been dead as all his organs would have froze and probably break to pieces when he melted.

If Gamera was only frozen on the outside then why did it take hours (if not a day or two) for him to thaw out? Remember, we’re talking about a creature with an internal plasma furnace.

But you're speaking to a monster that lasted in the freezing void of space without having any frost on his shell.

spydermanjr, that ice could easily be mystical in nature you know. http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif

<font color='#0000FF'>Don;t forget, GKG also travels in the deep cold of space.
So I wouldn;t call him any more or less vulnerable to the initial effects than Gamera was.

Maybe you're right about that part, but I may not be so sure about it. If it were mystical, wouldn't it have some other effect on Gamera than just freezing him?
Actually, I meant mystical as in having different properties from natural ice, i.e. freezing things that shouldn't be frozen for a very long time.

I think the ice mist would affect GKG, didn't he come in a meteor? Either way, I believe Grand Ghidorah has this one won, as long as he keeps his distance.

Try this! GKG faces Barugon in this match. Who will win? Will Earth survive? Have I finally created a tough match?!
Note: Barugon is 60 meters tall.

This has also already been done.
Anyway Barugon may be tough, but grand King Ghidorah is just tougher. I actually think this battle will go to GKG, as his myriad of beams, mind-control and whatnot will be sure to put even Barugon to the test.

This got going again so here's a chance to pick up where the ORIGINAL thread left off.
An idea to avoid future duplicate fights would be to use the SEARCH feature: put in one of the kaijus you plan to have in your fight, search in this forum and see if it's been done before. the old-fashioned way would be to check Page 2, 3, 4, etc. since not EVERYTHING is going to show up on your screen at once. Oh. You might have to SCROLL also on occasion. http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

This topic got re-posted again, so I merged ALLOSAURZ's topic with the older topic [ already twice merged, I think ]. Anyway, I'm still on Grand King Ghidorah's side, I believe I've already explained my position before. Barugon is tough, but he's a schoolyard bully compared to the goon that is GKG.
