Duel One, Heaven or Hell? LET'S ROCK!!

I finally bought this game tonight. I'd been thinking about it for a while, and I got it used for $30.

This is one hell of a joyride. It somehow mixes traditional 2D fighting with 80s rock and anime, a very cool and very interesting combination. The graphics are amazing for this kind of game, and the character designs are wacky and cool. There's Axl Low, a parody of Axl Rose, and there's also Zappa (poking fun at Frank Zappa, of course), Eddie, Slayer, Testament, Ky Kiske, and Sol Badguy to name a few. This may very well be the best 2D fighting game on the next-gen consoles. The music is nice, the controls are good, and there are many things about this game that will make you smile or even laugh outright. The only problem I could see is that some of the characters feel kinda sluggish to control. If you love 2D fighters, rock music, or anime, you absolutely must buy this game.

<font color='#FF7F00'>Played it, love it. Ky is my best character, even though I'm not that good (my friend owns it, and since I'm out of town for college, and only played it a little bit... well, you do the math). Also, I've seen Ryuujin play, and he's cheap with Jam.

I didn't know that Zappa was making fun of Frank Zappa. I didn't think he was that insane. I'm also surprised that people your age know who Frank Zappa is, Treize. Many of my teachers in high school didn't know who we was...

At the very least, the name Zappa itself is poking fun at ol' Frank. Heh, I thought more people would know about Frank Zappa. I'm surprised to learn your teachers wouldn't know about him. I haven't listened to Frank Zappa's music but I know the name, very popular in the music industry.
My best characters are Ky Kiske and Chip Zanuff (another music reference, this time a jab at ZZ Top's Chip). I just abuse teleportation and speed with the latter, and the former reminds me of Quatre from Gundam Wing in terms of appearance.

Gotta love Sol Badguy's Engrish though...&quot;Devil Frame!&quot;

<font color='#0000FF'>Guilty gear is pretty good i expecially like the instant death combo you can do. &nbsp;I like to do those for each character. &nbsp;I like Faust just because he looks weird and is pretty funny. &nbsp;I have the gameboy version and its alright but the PS2 ones much better.

My sister's best friend loves this game, and always rents it. I found it to have some great out thee characters, and the fighting engine was relly refined and fun. I managed to beat I-No with Sol in Story Mode on Easy, but now it's Robo-Ky I'm struggling with. Geeze, they're just like the SNK bosses: CHEAP AS ALL HELL.

<font color='#FF7F00'>Ryuujin I believe was playing through story mode on normal and I-No beat the crap out of him. Our friend (the one who owns the game) tried beating her, but spent about 30-45 minutes trying, then gave up.
