I close my eyes
I listen
The sound around me
Encompasses my mind
Mechanical Vibrations
So unnatural, unnerving
What have we done?
Our natural element
Once pure and refined
Diminished to mere memories.
Natural Beauty of the Earth
Now nothing
Nothing but a dream
A dream of the past
A history once cherished
Once loved, once mattered
Now oblivious, obscelete.
Natures beauty destroyed
Demolished in Greed
Earths flora, Earths fauna
Both unrealistic
In a realistic world
Not cherished, preserved
As it should be
No respect, honor
Not one ounce of gratitude
Life taken, Life forgotten
Natures beauty is Destroyed
Mankinds lust for Industry
For minerals, for resources
Respecting not what was first
But what unkind needs
Selfish, uncaring, loathing
Needs for Man.
Uncharacteristic in life
To destroy the pure
The Noble and the Elegant
Mother Nature
Such uncharismatic fools
The Human Race
Neglecting Elements
Purity and Grace.
Caring not enough
For the world
We walk upon.
We tread the Earth
Unknowing of what lies within
The Heart, the Soul
The inner Beauty
Of the spherical Elegance
Of Earth.
We dare to expand
To Demolish and Destroy
For our own sick reasoning
To fulfill selfish needs
Not caring nor believing
To expand our environment
Replace what is destroyed
Refurbish what is lost
Desperate for more
Destined for less
Wishing and Dreaming
Of an industrial Earth.
This once lush scene
Now barren and lost
Forever into Eternity
Within space and time.
Once picture perfect
Loved and desired
Respected anciently
Dserted at present.
Natures beauty destroyed
Spntaneously, Instantly,
Uncouthly, Disrespectfully
Forever gone, given the fact
Humankind is Ignorant
Ignorant to Replenish
What we destroy
What we take
What we steal.
Unwilling to return
What was taken unfairly
Undesired to Selflessness
Not wishing to give back.
Such is ignorance
Stupidity, Hypochracy
That the Human Race
Never ceases to reveal
One-sided Greed.
Sick desires, opportunities
Seized by Man
To expand the Unnatural World
When we should Seize the Moment
Carpe Diem
Give back to our world
That which we have taken
Care for Beauty, for Elegance
For Refinement, for Grace
For the very hope of Nature
For life we wish to Embrace
This poem was just a really long poem that I felt like writing. I am very protective of Nature and I hate to see it destroyed. Please get the idea that we should protect what is left of our natural elements of the world. Help me help what is left and Help me restore the Natural Elegance that was once Earth.
