I just rented a Korean movie from my Cable company called "The Host" it was about a giant monster that starts coming out of a river in Korea and attacks people. The creature was well designed sort of a cross between The Relic and the Shark from jaws its about 35 feet long and 10 feet tall. It got plenty of screen time and looked good, way better then Yonggarry The story was OK, the creatures origins are a little far fetched its hinted that it was formed from Formaldehyde, anyway it quickly grows up climbs out of the river and starts attacking people. It eats some people and captures others for later. The story then mainly focuses on a family tying to rescue a young family member who was taken alive by the monster. There's also some vague story about the creature carrying a terrible new plague that's really a cover -up but the reason for the cover up is never explained (Its a back round part that really doesn't take away from the main story).
Overall I found it pretty good! At least on par with if not better then the Thia Garuda movie that came out a few years ago. I was wondering if anyone saw this and recommending for anyone who has not.
