Return of Melee Madness!

It's back!
Let's see your melee-only teams!

Rules:
-Teams of Five.
-Despite what your character may have had, melee weapons are all that they will use.
-Voting is to be based on skill, all weapons will do some degree of damage to their opponents (match specific handicaps will be addressed in round thread.)
-Only weapons used by that character may be equipped to them. Even then, if there is a weapon that suits them better, it will be changed out.

This tournament will also use a "Dynamic Teams" system. Much like Cole's Less Ambitious tournament, team members can die, while the team goes on. Therefore, a vote should look like this:

Loser: Player Two's Team

-Renji

Furthermore, you can opt to hold back characters at the beginning of the round by PMing me before said round begins. This will ensure their survival.

Finally, each time a team wins, they will gain something.
I will post this in a separate topic.

This will commence when I have enough teams, and when Cole's tournament is over.

as far as sheilds go, normal sheilds work like normal sheilds. Force Feilds are not existant.

Intangibility will be held for no longer than a few seconds, and take some time to recharge, sort of a dodge move if you will.

Kinetic Absorption.... I'm not a fan of it, but I may allow it in some cases.

Very rare though.

For the most part, it's based on each character's actual skills with their weapons.

The Super Arts are when they get full bars and can use super versions of their special moves. Shun Goku Satsu and another one (can't remember the name) are 2 of the more powerful Super Arts.

Deadpool and Dante are definatley good choices.
I don't know how well Captain America will work out since every character's increased durability is gone but he can hold his own against quite a few characters, so I wouldn't be too worried.

Actually, I wouldn't say that they agree with you on all aspects, just on the SF4 movie. Your other opinions are unfounded (Trust me, Ryu is not a vagua character). And besides that, isn't it a coincidence that they all agree with you when all 3 of you are wrong. Sure it doesn't show all of Ryu's durability, but it does give an example of what he can take. And sure he doesn't reach the limits of his skills, but you still get to see his skills. And those punches and dodges and such may have been slow motion, but you can still see how fast they are really going, imo. (Or maybe you guys lack that abilirty). The movie is a nice little sampler of what Ryu can do, and his abilities aren't limited to just that. There are other movies and examples to use, so chill.

Actually, the scene where he fights Akuma in the Alpha movie (The one with the crappy animation) is a better one than that, imo. But that isn't the point, I personally like the SF fight the best and out of that and all of the movies the trailer is probably the most canon. But really, it is just another resource you guys can look to in order to better examine Ryu's skills.

Just to be clear, here are all of the rules once more, along with some important notes at the bottom:

-Teams of Five.
-Despite what your character may have had, melee weapons are all that they will use.
-ALL weapons will be able to damage ALL opponents in some way.
-Only weapons used by that character may be equipped to them. Even then, if there is a weapon that suits them better, it will be changed out.
-Lightsabers function just as Steel Swords would.
-Symbiote Goo and Tentacles function just as Whips would.
-No "Eating" of enemy weapons.
-PM me before a round starts if you want any members of your team to remain out of the round. This will ensure their survival, even if your team loses.
-You must have at least one combatant available for each round.
-All Fatalities are permanent.
-No one is immortal.

One minute and twenty seconds is not enough evidence for a specific version. All of what we know about SF4 is from that brief video, and that is no where near detailed enough to determine how he'd function in fights with endless variables.

For the last time, this Ryu has all the abilities from the past Street Fighter Games. Infact, I think Zear still has him as SF3 Ryu. The only difference is that now we have footage to him fighting Ken from the trailer. So if you want to get tehnical then my character is SF Ryu but with the SF4 trailer as his vid. This may be confusing but you seem to be the only one not understanding this.
