Season 1
Episode 2
Kate was in the jail cell, crying to herself. “Why did I do that? I’m so stupid.”
After about an hour of her crying to herself, a guard finally came in. “Miss Austen, You can take your phone call.”
Kate looked at the man, and shook her head.

Kate was staring at the ocean, sitting on the beach that surrounded the crash site of Oceanic Flight 815.
Sawyer, a handsome man came up to her, “Hey pretty lady, you need someone to hold you?”
Kate looked up to the man, “No, please leave me alone.”
Sawyer smiled and took a seat next to her anyway, “Jack says that you drugged him. Is that true?”
Kate got to her feet immediately, “What? Jack’s awake?” She said, as she ran towards Jacks tent.
Sawyer looked to the ocean and shook his head.
Jack had a disappointed look on his face as Kate ran up to him, “You know Kate, I didn’t want to be drugged.”
Kate shook her head, “I’m so sorry Jack, at the time you seemed so tired.”
Jack stopped and looked at her, “So where’d you learn to do that?”
Kate’s head went down a little, “So where are you going?”
Jack continued to pack his bag, “Well, Kate, Charlie said he saw smoke in the jungle. We’re both going to see what exactly it was from. The cockpit or tail of the plane wasn’t with us, so I’m thinking its part of the plane.”
Kate looked around and then back at Jack, “I want to come.”

“Listen mom, you got to get me out of here.” Kate said, talking to her mother on the phone. “I know you’re disappointed in what I did, but I did it for you.” Kate began to cry as she hung up the phone.
The guard grabbed her by the arm and walked her outside, “Go have fun kid. You have an hour break. Make the most of it.” The guard said as he went back outside.
Surrounding Kate was barbed wire fences, and other prisoners that stared at the beautiful Kate.
Kate shook her head in disgust as she walked toward the jogging track.

“You are everybody, you are every…” Charlie stopped singing as Kate stared at him awkward. “What, you’ve never heard of Driveshaft?”
Kate smiled, “No, I’ve heard the band before. I just don’t know why you’re singing it.”
“I’m Charlie Pace, I play bass for the band.” He said smiling.
“You’re in driveshaft?” Kate asked.
“Yeah.” Charlie replied, “What we suck, huh?”
“No, you guys are really good. Keep up the work.” Kate said.
Charlie’s smile vanished, “The band doesn’t exist anymore. I was in Sydney trying to get my brother back in the band.”
Kate grabbed his shoulder, “It’ll be ok. Hey Jack, have you ever heard of Driveshaft?”
Jack turned around to hear Charlie singing, “You are everybody, you are everybody.” Charlie stopped to see Jack shaking his head.
“We’ve got to keep moving. With those giant bugs running around, we have to get there and get back as fast as possible.” Jack said looking at the two of them.
They continued walking through the jungle, hoping to find other survivors.

“Can I get you a refill?” A stewardess on a plane asked Kate.
Kate smiled, “No, I’m fine with this.”
A man sitting next to Kate spoke up, “I would like some coffee, extra strong.”
The stewardess looked at the man, “Coffee, sure.” She said as she walked away.
Kate reached down to get her juice, around her arms were handcuffs. The man looked at her, “You know Kate, there’s always the chance they’ll believe your story.”
Kate grabbed her juice and drank.

“There it is guys, the cockpit to our plane.” Jack said as they had reached their goal.
Kate looked around, “I don’t think they were as lucky as us.”
They walked inside to find no one alive. They finally noticed a man was moving, it was the pilot of the plane. Jack ran to the man, “Are you ok?”
The pilot looked at Jack, “How many survived.”
Jack continued to stare at the man, “A total of 42.”
The pilot looked around, and finally Kate spoke up, “So what exactly happened?”
The pilot stared at her with his bloody face, “We left from Sydney, and were heading to California as planned. We had unexpected turbulence and turned around towards Japan. I don’t know what happened exactly, we just crashed suddenly.”

“Can you do one thing for me?” Kate asked the deputy.
He stared at her, “This ought to be good, wh…” The words trailed off has the plane began to shake.

Michael was sitting with his song, “I know we haven’t known each other that much, but I promise I’ll let nothing happen to you little man.”
Walt looked at him, “Yeah whatever.” Walk looked back at the sand, “When are you going to get my dog?”
Michael continued staring at his son, “I don’t think he made it man.”
Walt got up and ran away. Michael then stared at the sand himself.

“They have no idea where we are. No transmissions could be sent, something was blocking it.” The pilot said to Jack.
“Lets get back to the beach.” Jack said.
All four got out of the front end of the plane. Suddenly a giant orange and black bug came running at them. They began to run, but the bug caught the pilot as he vanished into the jungle in the mouth of the monster.

Michael was sitting on the sand still, crying now. John Locke walked up to him, “Are you ok Michael?”
Michael rubbed his eyes, “I don’t know what to do. I can’t raise Walt. I haven’t known him for most of his life, and now I have to be his father.”
Locked sat next to Michael, “You know Michael, you just have to earn his trust. This place, this island will protect you both. By the way Michael, I found your dog.”

“WHAT HAPPENED?” Kate said to Jack screaming.
Jack looked around, “I don’t know, but I don’t like that chirping noise. We better run, and fast. GO.” Jack said as Charlie, Kate and himself began to run.
As they ran the sound was still near and around them. Suddenly Charlie fell to the ground. “KATE GO.” Jack said as he went back for Charlie.
Kate ran, and ran till she couldn’t run anymore. She hid in a bush. Then she saw it, a bug that had big eyes and little arms walked around trying to find something to eat. It then started to rain, and she began to shake. Kate was scared to death.

It was raining on the beach as well. Walt was throwing rocks into the beach. “Here’s your dog little man.”
Walt turned to his dad and smiled heavily as his dog was at his feet. Michael saw Locke up by the edge of the jungle, as he smiled. He then looked back at his son, “Starting tomorrow, I’m building a raft. I’m going to get you home Walt.”

Two hours later the rain stopped, and the bug was nowhere in site. Kate got out of the bush, and started running for the beach again.
She finally arrived at the beach and saw Sayid, “Where’s Jack?”
Sayid looked around, “He didn’t come back with you?”
Kate then started crying, “We found the cockpit. The pilot was alive, then one of those bugs got him. We then ran. Sayid, I don’t think they made it.” She finished as she started crying heavier and heavier.
Sayid grabbed her and hugged her, “They’ll be back Kate. I think you need to rest.”
Kate shook her head, as she went to the area where she slept. She began crying again, and went to the ground. She cried loudly into the ground so no one could hear her.
She turned over as she wasn’t crying anymore, but wiping away the tears. She noticed the group had put together a fire. She decided to stay where she was. She looked at the jungle, then at the sky and closed her eyes.

“I’m going to protect you mom.” Kate said.
Her mom stared at her, “What do you mean Kate?”
Kate shook her head, “It doesn’t matter. I’ll save you from him.” Kate then ran out of the coffee shop.
Thirty minutes later she arrived at her house. Inside sleeping was her step dad. “Goodbye.” Kate said as she began poring gas all over the house.
She went out of the house, and got on her motorcycle bike. She began to drive then stopped to look back at the house. Suddenly a huge red beam came flying at the house. It exploded into thousands of pieces as Kate was thrown off her bike. Bloody now she looked up at the sky to see a large dark blue figure standing there. It looked robotic with two saw hands and a red light in the middle of its forehead. Then it roared and Kate held her hands on her ears.
She let go to hear hundreds of people now screaming. The monster continued destroying buildings with its red beam, and slashing at others with its saw hands.
Kate screamed at the top of her lungs as she heard a man say, “its name is Gigan.”

Kate was screaming as she opened her eyes to see Sayid by her side, “Are you ok?”
Kate looked around, and jumped to her feet, “Is Jack back?”
Sayid shook his head disappointment, “I’m sorry Kate but no.”
