There are a few RPs floating around various sites i've been keeping an eye on, but none sound as fun as a Jurassic Park RP. Under my own guidance, i'm hoping I can steer this thing in the right direction and get enough people to join in.
The style of posting is limited to what your own character does, and what happens in the environment around them. No writing for other people's characters, and try not to kill off a dinosaur or thwart the problem TOO easily. Any player can present a situation such as a dinosaur appearing or finding a story-important object, but give the others some time to react to it. I'll be steering the story lightly unless somebody else wants to veer it in another direction. If one person takes too long to respond to a situation and it has to go along, it will be assumed they safely escaped/followed along.
The Setting:
This takes place in the movie universe, and would take place after the events of Jurassic Park III.
John Hammond is caught up to speed regarding the second incident at Site B. Set aside the unnecessary deaths that resulted, his largest concern was the presence of a Spinosaurus, an animal he had never commissioned. Unsure if it was under order by Peter Ludlow while he was in control of InGen, or something else was afoot, Hammond needs to know who has been tampering with his facility and animals, and why.
Having put Grant, Malcolm and the others through enough terror, he assembles a new and willing investigation team to scour the labs on Isla Sorna and find any information they can on what else has been created without his knowledge, as well as documentation.
The Dinosaurs:
Ankylosaurus (http://www.joergresag.privat.t-online.de/mybk4htm/ankylosaurus.jpg) - 5 feet tall, 20-30 feet long. Herbivore.
Apatosaurus (http://updatecenter.britannica.com/eb/image?binaryId=8052&rendTypeId=4) - Herbivore. Height likeness linked.
Baryonyx (http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/1520/10914939.JPG) - Around 12 feet tall, 25-30 feet long. Fish eater (wink wink).
Brachiosaurus (http://www.solarnavigator.net/films_movies_actors/actors_films_images/jurassic_park_brontasaurus.jpg) - Massive herbivore. Height likeness linked.
Carnotaurus (http://www.pangeaworld.it/main/images/dizio/Carnotaurus.gif) - Carnivore. Not on the InGen list. Has chameleon-like camouflage. Height likeness linked.
Ceratosaurus (http://www.myjurassicpark.com/horn.jpg) - Carnivore. 8 feet tall, 20-25 feet long.
Corythosaurus (http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/9/95/180px-JP_Corythosaurs.JPG) - Roughly 8-12 feet tall. Herbivore.
Dilophosaurus (http://www.gavinrymill.com/dinosaurs/veloci/diloph.GIF) - Carnivore. Spits venom that can cause blindness and paralysis. Height likeness linked. The one in JP was obviously a young'n. 6 years is a good amount of time to grow up. ;)
Dimetrodon (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5e/Dimetrodon_grandis.jpg/800px-Dimetrodon_grandis.jpg) - Carnivore. Not on InGens list. Size likened to a komodo dragon.
Gallimimus (http://www.myjurassicpark.com/galli.jpg) - Omnivore. 7 feet tall, 13-20 feet long.
Herrerasaurus (http://cache.eb.com/eb/image?id=8062&rendTypeId=4) - Carnivore. Height likeness linked. Cannon fodder/measly pest.
Lambeosaurus (http://cache.eb.com/eb/image?id=8065&rendTypeId=4) - Herbivore. Height likeness linked.
Mamenchisaurus (http://www.dinodictionary.com/images/m/mamenchisaurus_a.gif) - Massive Herbivore. Height likeness linked.
Metriacanthosaurus (http://p.webshots.com/ProThumbs/88/49588_wallpaper280.jpg) - Carnivore. Size unknown, likely 8-15 feet high.
Pachycephalosaurus (http://www.myjurassicpark.com/headbutter.jpg) - Herbivore. 4-6 feet tall, 15 feet long. Thick domed skull used for ramming. Likely territorial.
Parasauralophus (http://cache.eb.com/eb/image?id=8070&rendTypeId=4) - Herbivore. Height likeness linked.
Pteranodon (http://kinoblog.com/wp-content/images/06_06/jurassic_park_3/pteranodon2.jpg) - Flying Carnivore. Huge problem if encountered. Height likeness linked.
Quetzalcoatlus (http://blog.everythingdinosaur.co.uk/quetzalcoatlus_everything_d.jpg) - Massive flying carnivore. Not on InGens list. Super predator along with Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus. Only one known to exist on the island. Height likeness linked.
Segisaurus (http://www.pangeaworld.it/main/images/dizio/segisaurus.jpg) - Insectoviore, possibly scavenger. More pests. Height likeness linked.
Spinosaurus (http://www.gavinrymill.com/dinosaurs/spino/GavSpinosaurus.GIF) - Carnivore. A main concern of Hammond's, as it was not on the animal list. Any documentation on this animal is critical. Height likeness linked.
Stegosaurus (http://animals.timduru.org/dirlist/dino/Stegosaurus_J01-Dinosaur_in_TheLostWorld.jpg) - Herbivore. Height likeness linked.
Suchomimus (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y232/suchomimus/Suchomimus.jpg) - Carnivore. Adults said to be up to 40 feet long, 12 feet high. Supposed fish eater, but so was the Spinosaurus, and we saw how that turned out!
Triceratops (http://www.petesmoviepage.com/Jurassic/tric.jpg) - Herbivore. Height likeness linked.
Tyrannosaurus (http://www.petesmoviepage.com/Jurassic/t-rex.gif) - Carnivore. Height likeness linked. You're pretty much dead if he shows up.
Velociraptor (http://www.gavinrymill.com/dinosaurs/veloci/JPraptorPeople.gif)- Carnivore. Height linkeness linked. Intelligent, pack hunters. Again, you're pretty much screwed once they show up.
The Characters:
This story will call for people who can use weaponry, hack computers (possibly an InGen or Biosyn employee), dinosaur experts, survival guides, and other skills that may be useful in such a situation. Any mix of these is fine, aslong as you don't have some super-godly character that can do all at once.
Minimum amount of sign-ups to start would be 4, hoping for 6-7.
Character Profile
