View Full Version : I'm confused

According to the interview before the movie, they said that there isn't going to be a Mechagodzilla and Mothra allience in the film, but from what I read from the spoilers, it seems that there is a Mechagodzilla and Mothra allience. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

They never said there wasn't going to be an alliance between Kiryu and Mothra. It came from an interview with Shogo Tomiyama (translated on Henshin!Online (http://www.henshinonline.com)) in which he said:

"one day the "Little Beauties" fly to Japan on Mothra. The twin faeries have brought a message; and this is the key that connects the three monsters. Thus it is not a simple story like "Mothra-Mechagodzilla Alliance Against Godzilla."

He was basically implying that Mothra doesn't just randomly come to help out, as she did in some of her more recent films - he means that she comes for a very good reason this time.

<font color='#0000FF'>what im confused about is that someone put a spoiler ending trailer to gmmg on tokyo monsters.com. the reason im not going to watch it is because id like to watch the movie and not already know how its going to end.

That was me, but it wasn't the ending to the film - it was just something that happens in the film (probably about half way through the film) which some people may not wish to know about, which is shown at the end of the trailer.

Toho created the trailer last Summer, and another news site (I forget which) hosted it for them. TM is basically just mirroring it since it's no longer available anywhere else, but I thought I'd add the spoiler warning so it didn't anger anyone.

The other thing I'm confused about is the spoiler endings. On a website I found, I saw couple endings:

SPOILERS...

1. Kiryu spares Godzilla
2. Godzilla destroys Kiryu and then he gets wrapped up in silk by Mothra larva.

But the real ending is when Godzilla and Kiryu sink to the bottom of the sea.

END SPOILER

So, is it possible that the endings before the real ending were fake?

Yes. Kiryu goes &quot;out of control&quot; again (though not in the rampaging sense), and flies off wish Godzilla, who was being encased in the Mothra larvas silk.

No, Godzilla doesn't kill Kiryu. Like I said above, the larva are encasing Godzilla in the silk and Kiryu takes him away. They both sink to the bottom of the sea at the end, where I believe Kiryu &quot;terminates&quot; himself. Who knows what happens to Godzilla, but one would think being encased in silk, tied up with wires and crushed by a giant robot at the bottom of the sea is not to good for ones health.

Yes. That is the real ending. Before they posted the real ending, I read somewhere (and everyone thought it was the real ending. They also thought this would lead up to Godzilla x Godzilla) that Godzilla destroyed Kiryu, because Kiryu was rusting. It was like for someone who posted that ending actually saw the movie, but I guess the spoiler's fake. I read it in Dec. 2003. Remember, that &quot;fake&quot; ending I just told you was in someone's website BEFORE someone from the other website saw the movie, and he had the actual ending, which probably happened in January 2004. Does that help any?

<font color='#0000FF'>after watching the spoiler wnding trailer and from what i found out here this is what i know......
1.adult mothra dies
2.the two mothras entrape godzilla in thier silk.
3.godzilla and mechagodzilla fall to the bottom of the sea.

im sure the battle scenes are good but knowing what happens to adult mothra and the ending its going to be wierd watching the movie and instead of rooting for a certain monster ill be thinking....&quot;o.k. mothra dies.&quot;..........i hate the fact that i cant help looking at spoilers. http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Tell me about it! Despite my lower opininos of the films now, watching G2K and GxM for the first time was very exciting, because I had avoided all spoilers to both. When it came to GMK I was virtually unable to avoid spoilers, which seemed to be everywhere on the forums. With GxMG and GMMG I've basically had no choice since I'm running TM. I still enjoy the films a lot every year though, despite being raw Japanese too http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

<font color='#0000FF'>i know ill like the movie as a matter of fact it sounds to me like the best of the shinsei era.[gmk was good but the whole fact that all the monsters die plus ghidorah is killed three times and is brought back to life twice gets on my nerves a bit.] this movie has two mothra larvae. *http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

<font color='#0000FF'>well maybe not killed but.... when ghidorah shows up and fights godzilla godzilla blasts him then he falls on the ground[and i havent seen it in a while] so maybe he was just unconcious. then mothra gets blasted and then her power goes intoghidorah and then he wakes up, gets powerful and fights godzilla underwater when the missile that was meant for a wound on godzilla hits ghidorah in the neck and and falls again. When hat stone thing drops it wakes him up again and he attacks this time godzilla blasts him and explodes. so he fell unconcious twice. gets waken up twice. and killed once. o.k. so i did make a mistake.

hope this clears things up.

This is the first time in a Millenium G-film (besides GMK) that Godzilla actually dies. I'm glad Toho actually had him die for a change. and yes, in my opinion he does die.

Doesn't Kiryu carry the cocooned Godzilla out to sea and go into the water? Godzilla would suffocate.

Godzilla can't suffocate, because he LIKES the water. Or, you're saying that Mechagodzilla choked him? Or, is it because of the wound Kiryu gave him?

<font color='#000080'>No, he IS in the water, but he is ALSO encased in a coccoon. where there is no oxygen. We all know what happens to Godzilla when there is no oxygen.....

<font color='#000080'>They go back to Infant Island and everyone is happy.

Same ending as Godzilla vs. Mothra 1964.
Toho lacks originality these days.

Toho won't be original any more. Ever.
