anyone else remember this power rangers rip off? even as a kid i knew this show was cheesy...but now its a pretty obscure kaiju related show and kinda kool to catch up on...Enshohma also told me that it was the only american produced show of its kind that didnt stem from japanese footage.
anyways the first episode can be seen on youtube and features a monster called Ninjabot the SAMURAI robot...who then proceeds to cut down random rock formations in the desert lol. anyways check it out and lmk what you think

I actually have an episode of this recorded on vhs.
Man was it horrid.
A kerosine heater very badly disguised as a power station, a viewing device for the villain that was obviously a dentist's chair magnifying light and a giant sized villain whose chest made metalic clanging sounds when ever he beat upon it despite the fact that his chest plate was obviously made of a soft foam material.

For what it was, it was okay, and you got to hand it to them, they did their own giant monsters and fight scenes. Sadly I wish I kept this show for posterity sake, and have asked around for episodes to trade with. I at least have the names and basic information on all the monsters outside Ninja-Bot if anyone is interested for a future post.

Well, that's not far from what the show actually looks like.
Now, it's not hard for me to like anything that has some decent monsters in it, but I really have to draw the line here. It's horrible, and very hard for me to even describe how bad I feel towards it. It's just another lame attempt to capitalize on the growing interest in Japanese Toku shows.

i feel i should add the word "was". it "was" a lame attempt to capitalize on growing interest in Toku shows...it didnt last very long in its attempt :)
sure its cheesy and hard to watch but i find it funny at the same time...and it had some shall i say "different" kaiju ideas. TTAFFBH is to power rangers kinda like what Gamera is to Godzilla...although Gamera turned out far far better.
but i mean come on we subject ourselves to horrors like King Kong Lives and heck even Gino. Id take this show any day over Matthew Broderick.
