The situation is that it has been 3 years since the People's Republic of China has occupied the US. There are insurgencies in the Southeast in Appalachia and in the West in the Rockies. The People's Republic has destroyed most US infrastructure, and has pushed sectarian differences in the US to the point that Evangelicals are now armed in militia groups under one Pastor Smith, while the Catholics are armed in another under Pastor Anderson (;)). The nation also has foreign volunteers attacking and killing the occupiers and making *******s of themselves to the US population, these foreign volunteers are Neo-fascists come on an anti-Communist crusade. The US government has been deposed, and has been replaced by a man more incompetent than Dubya who is a lapdog of the Chinese. Also, it's not just religion that they are exploiting, there's racial and ethnic tensions as blacks in the hood are packing just as much as KKK crazies, while Hispanics and Anglos in the Southwest are stuck with mutually exploited hatred. The PLA occupation force is ridiculously clumsy, and now, you have the question. What would you do here? Flee the nation and join refugees in Canada and Mexico? Try to kill Chinese in the insurgency? Try to one-up other religious and ethnic groups to get the top spot when the PLA withdraws? What would you do?

Hmmm........ I'm not sure what I'd do. Maybe try to evac as many Americans as possible, then nuke DC. Maybe that'd work.......... then I'd hide in China, the one place they'd never think to look for me in.

Do what I plan for any extreme event, weaponize the farm's property and round up as many friends as possible, and spread out from there, staking claim to it. Act as head of the local government, and extend that power reach from there outward. People who refuse to help/join, would either be forced to accept peaceful actions against people who are with me and that they will be cut off from my resources and if refused on that count (assuring violence towards my people) they would be killed (with all belongings coming to me, then split up properly.

This will work as where I live won't be the main attention of the Chinese. Having an extensive lookout network will allow us to know of any attack before it happens. And if a rival group comes in/is comed across, and refuses to be peaceful/join and attacks any under my rule, I'll kill the entire group, take their weapons, money and supplies. Wouldn't be above keeping body parts to serve as warnings to other groups.

First thing to do would be to have anyone who can start working on rebuilding any damaged infrasatructure. Second, would be to commision people to camaflogue the town(s) into looking like they have been attacked and are damaged/worthless, with that only being a facade, allowing for protection and perhaps some kind of normalcy.

If this plan is succesful enough, and the area of control grows, I would appoint trusted individuals or groups as trustees of an area, answering to me. So who knows how far this might go.

If this were to reach you, Doc or Cole, would you join? (Especially Cole and his bomb making skills).

Getting the H out of Dodge: Wherever you go no doubt will be affected by the U.S. situation, especially if that country has been relying heavily on us to begin with. Them helping us out? Other nations have their own problems. As stated elsewhere, WE are always the first to help anyone but never seem to get paid back.

KK did specify *THREE YEARS* after the occupation but I think we should consider our INITIAL reactions also. America's "gun happy" culture and open communication shouldn't be overlooked. :darklord: I don't think after that relatively short period of time and considering the vastness of the country, the PLC would have really gained a solid foothold. Destroying most of the infrastructure seems a dumb move IMO as THEY would also need it. The citizens don't really care what goes on in DC (or even their STATE capitals) to begin with. They're going to be busy drawing a bead on the insurgents dumb enough to get within range, even if they have to "shank" them. I think even the most pacifist American soccer mom could get to that point. This is a do-or-die situation so the ante has been upped to begin with.
I'm looking forward to maybe exploring the PSYCHOLOGY going on in this scenario also, group as well as individual. :)

If I were feeling particularly wrathful, and thought I could live with myself afterwards, I'd say launch our nukes at China and lay waste to it.

Best case scenario, kill the head and the body dies.

If nothing else, the Chinese may have to decide whether they want to keep invading us or clean up what's left of their own country.

Also, the invasion force may have a hard time continuing their efforts if their homeland has been brutalized.

The book/TV movie WORLD WAR III had the Alaska Pipeline as the target of a long term Soviet plan to take it over by placing moles in the military stationed up there. They knocked out the remote Air Force Early Warning stations so troops could be parachuted in to hold the pipeline hostage.
I don't think THAT would be destroyed in KK's scenario, especially not now. The Chinese would have a much harder time trying this approach unless THEY had non-Asians or some who were American citizens in place. A farfetched angle but the Russians were noted for their long range plans.
Speaking of "takeover from within", Mexicans have the numbers. Consider African-Americans likewise for "what-if" scenarios along that line.
