Subway Cinema/New York Asian Film Festival and the Japan Society are partnering on a great-looking Asian film festival in NYC in late June/early July. The combined festival runs 24 days and will screen more than 50 films.
The lineup includes:
ALWAYS- SUNSET ON THIRD STREET
ALWAYS 2 (with Godzilla)
DAINIPPONJIN (comedy about a giant superhero who fights weird monsters)
L: CHANGE THE WORLD (sequel to the DEATH NOTE movies)
SUKIYAKI WESTERN DJANGO (Takashi Miike's new homage to spaghetti westerns, guest-starring Quentin Tarantino)
DORORO (live action movie based on the Osamu Tezuka manga)
