<font color='#0000FF'>Gamera can absorb GINO's flame.
In hand to hand, they're even, at best.
Gamera can fly.
Gamera wins.

<font color='#FF0000'>^Yeah. I agree. Those two powers combined will spell doom for GINO. And his fire will do damage to GINO. Though I would like to see this fight. It would not be easy, however. The cartoon is no pushover.

If Gamera's fire would inflict damage on Godzalla (Cartoon GINO), then tell my why our giant iguana didn't recieve damage when he was inside the core of a volcano that went in a full eruption, exposing the reptile to the incredibly heat, lava and force all at once.
Does Gamera have something this destructive in his arsenal?
No.
Godzalla had proven time and time against that his hide is incredibly thick and FAR superior than his father's. But it's true, Godzalla's thermonuclear flame would do nothing to Gamera. Both of their flame assaults would be useless against one another. In physical combat, Godzalla would simply beat Gamera like a rag doll.
Gamera can fly. In yet, in this fight, he'd have to come in close eventually. Godzalla had fought with many creatures who could fly and in the end, defeated them with a combination of his power, fighting spirit and intelligence.
The Friend of Children, in my opinion, has failed the children in this fight.

<font color='#0000FF'>Gamera is more than smart enough to compete with GINO in that regard.
He's also no slouch in the hand to hand department.

Recall from him fight with Guiron. Remember when Guiron fired the ninja stars? At first, they hit Gamera's face. Gamera took the hint, what with him being smart and knocked the second wave of ninja stars away. But what happened later in their rematch? Guiron fired four ninja stars and Gamera had totally forgotten.
In yet, Godzalla had shown time and time again to never make the same mistake twice or at least not recieve it in the full degree as he did the first time.

It would be pretty hard to dodge those ninja stars. They were moving real fast.

In yet, Gamera didn't recall what lead to his downfall in their first encounter and came in totally un-prepared. I don't think that's using your brain.

That's problem-solving intelligence, something many humans I know don;t have much of a grasp on.

Didn't he bat away the stars with a pillar?
Did he have that pillar in the rematch?

Actually Cole, those two kids "told" him where to throw the rocket.

And would YOU lug a pillar around when you're just trying to grab two stupid kids and leave?

It wasn't exactly fifty tons. Gamera showed no signs of it being heavy. And besides, Gamera was trying to fight Guiron before grabbing those two stupid kids and get off the 'star' ( http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif ). Unless you're implying Gamera was actually thinking about grabbing the two kids and fight Guiron at the same time, which would suggest he isn't intelligent but really stupid.
After looking at my above posts, I gave the impression that I think Gamera (Showa) is a total idiot. Sorry about that, I think he's intelligent in his own right, just in my eyes Godzalla is smarter for making better decisions.

<font color='#0000FF'>No offense, but what has 'toon GINO fought that compares to some of Gamera's adversaries? Yeah, Gamera often gets help from humanity, but anybody who can go toe to toe with the likes of Jiger, Barugon, and Zigra can handle anything GINO throws his way.

No offense taken.
Here are the monsters that Godzalla had fought that is in my opinion, powerful:
-Quetzaquatol
A 'phoenix' who is capable of thriving in 3,000 degree celsius of heat. She basically lives in a volcano. Dwarfs Godzilla's 5 year visit. Is immune to extreme heat, obviously, which means Godzalla's potent thermonuclear flame was useless. Godzalla had to deal with a huge *** bird that can fly and spew forth napalm flames. One of Godzalla's most powerful opponents.
-Crackler
Created by the mind of a Man. This creature is incredibly strong, resistant to any harm and can fire electrical bolts of energy. There is no possible way at destroying it WITHOUT killing the Man who created it. Godzalla was able to go toe-to-toe with this titan and come out without a scratch. But of course, H.E.A.T. did help by finding the Man and stopping him. Despite being powerful in his own right, Godzalla eventually would've fallen from the being who would keep coming...
-DRAGMA
A bioengineered creature who is nearly invincible. The strongest hide in the entire Kaiju Kingdom. It is impentrable. You cannot break through it. Destroyah's laser horn would fail. Barugon's rainbow ray would fail. Gamera's Mana Beam would fail. They hunt in packs and succeeded in taking over the earth in a show that had some members of the H.E.A.T. travel into the future. Dragmas have sharp claws, fangs and can fly gracefully. Godzalla was slaughtered by a pack of these vile beasts. In yet, according to Craven, "He died a hero and saved millions." Which gives the impression that Godzalla fought valiently.
-P.E.M.C.
This thing would literally [i]eat[i] Hedorah. Made up of trillions of tiny microbes. Can just ensnare you with its body and you will never be able to breathe again. P.E.M.C. can also turn into whatever shape it (they) desire. Like a towering behemoth that dwarfs even Heisei King Ghidorah's size. Is capable of forming sharp spears and more. Godzalla fought this thing and lived. But without human assistance, Godzalla would've lost. But for a GINO, he sure held his own.
-Cyber-Godzilla
GINO is back but improved and far more powerful. Equipped with his own thermonuclear flame. Capable of unleashing devastating energy rockets from its shoulder compartments. Intelligent too, thanks to the aliens that created him. He has a deflector dish in his chest as well. And to top it all off, he's still fast and agile. After a hard fought battle, Godzalla was the winner and once again became the only member of its species.
-Seigio
A giant scorpion whose hide is extremely thick. It's stinger can penetrate even the toughest armor, though it was unable to pierce Godzalla's flesh. However, despite being extremely powerful and resistant to attack, Seigio is able to launch acid from its stinger. This acid ate away through Godzalla's flesh with ease. Its venom can knock out Godzalla and even the iguana's fast healing can't counteract it. (Probably would've eventually, but the wound was exposed to mud and water, which helped the healing go faster.)
Satisfied?

A good point, but tell me: Does it pack more force than a volcanic eruption? Gamera's flame also doesn't really have a lot of distance. And you'd notice he would constantly need to "belch" it out after every burst. Godzalla had easily been able to avoid things a lot faster.
Besides, how hot do you think it is? We've never seen any forms of fire scald Godzalla's skin or have any effect. I guess it is up into thin-air if Gamera's flame would do any harm. http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/bored.gif

I know a lot of you don't consider GINO godzilla, but Toon Gino DOES deserve the name Godzilla, and should count as a Godzilla...

That's one's opinion. I consider it to be a Godzilla.
As far as who would win, TZ has spelled it out the best. While both monsters' flames wouldn't do anything to each other, Godzilla is smarter, faster, and dig underground. After a hard fought battle, Godzilla wins this.

Well sir, I looked it up in the rules for the board and it said nothin about it, so I guess not.
Besides, I dont think its right ot ban any kind of matchup between any version of these monsters, as long as the discussion is civil and intelligent.

One of the reasons why most of those topics get lock is because fans usually tend to start flame wars saying that _ sucks compared too ___. Then when you know it, you have a war raging on.
