'54 doesn't stand a chance. Junior has better firepower and Rodan can simply help out.

Rodan pecks G'54's eyes out while Junior puts Gramps out of action for good.

It is just sad that it really only takes ONE of these kaiju to beat Godzilla '54. This fight is just overkill in this case.

Winner: Heisei Rodan and Godzilla Jr.
Loser: Godzilla '54

God I hope "The Family" goes far in this tourney.

Anyway they start off strong as they absolutely demolish the great grand daddy of em all.

Winners: The Family

Yeah, either of these team members could handle this Goji.

I love Godzilla (1954) to death, but he's really not strong in a tournament.

Junior takes Grampy to The Home where he lives out the rest of his days watching his stories and calling Heisei about how he never comes to visit, he never calls, and when I was your age, I used to respect my elders, darn it!

Poor G54...why'd the old dude have to be double-teamed? One-on-one I can see him frying/mauling Rodan to death, but Junior...damn kid. Alas, the old are beaten into submission by the young.

Winners: Rodan and Junior

You serious? Godzilla' 54 is so slow and has such a useless beam that he could do nothing to Heisei Rodan at all.

^ Come to think of it...you're right. I think there was a scene where G54 directly hit few bystanders with his beam and all it did was knock them down.

Yeah, Grandpa G sucks. Which is unfortunate, given his cool design and status as the original Toho kaiju...*sigh*:(

Rowdy Rody and the Heisei Prince lay a brutal smackdown on Grampa Goji, killing the original King of Monsters. However, the victors have little time to celebrate as they begin to fade away. Their minds do not comprehend that they have defeated '54 before the events of Gojira, causing a time paradox either deleting the entire kaiju genre before it begins or making Gamera the only Kaiju franchise.

Winners: Rodan and G-Junior
Losers: Goji '54, Rodan, Godzilla Jr., Us.
Or
Winners: Rodan, Godzilla Jr, Daiei
Losers: Godzilla 1954, Rodan, Goji Jr, Toho.

His beam at another point was also so hot that it melted steel electrical towers after just a couple seconds' exposure, so...

Not gonna save him though. As others have said, either one of the brothers could handle Gramps on their own. Both is just overkill.

Yipes. Either Rodan or Junior could win this match on their own. But both at the same time? Again, yipes.

Winners: Rodan (Heisei) and Godzilla Junior
Loser: Godzilla 1954

Anyone else think it'd be funny if Grandpazilla (G54) entered this battle hobbling on a cane--while sporting a badass Serizawaish eye-patch no less--only to end up kung fuing Junior and Rodan's asses?

"I died so you wouldn't have to, you ungrateful little pukes!"

Grampa Goji Pulling an upset victory here will be the best moment in this DD if not the history of the tournament if it happens. Which I doubt.

That would be epic.

Honestly, I don't see why the original Godzilla is even here. He's never been in a fight, so we can't exactly look at how he fights and judge from that. We can't determine just how durable he is, all he went up against is conventional weapons. I honestly think he would fight a lot like the Godzilla from Raids again, but why not just have that Godzilla in? GMK Godzilla?

Whatever. Sicne he's in the tournament, I'm going to assume he fights like the Godzilla from Raids again, because that's the closest thing we have to him being in a fight. Godzilla 54 pretty much outclasses Junior in every category, except firepower, but I don't see that being much of a factor. I don't see either beam doing much to other Godzilla, considering both of them are radioactive monsters. Up close, Jr. Godzilla isn't that great, where as this Godzilla (or the closest thing to this Godzilla) beat Anguirus with little use of his beam (it was pretty much useless in that fight too). In a one on one fight, the younger generation falls to past generation.

However this isn't a one on one fight. Rodan is here, and Godzillas always seem to have a hard time with Rodans. I think that if this Godzilla got a hold of Rodan, he could probably end him with bite to the jugular, and some tail whips. However, with both of these Kaiju attacking, the original Godzilla is going to have a very tough time.

I haven't seen Godzilla Raids again in awhile, or Godzilla Vs. Destroyah, so I'll watch both of those again before voting.

Why again did we bring in G'54??? Unless you wanna combine him with the Goji from Godzilla Raids Again, (thus making him LESS slow) he's really not gonna do much good in these desumacchis.

Seriously, why??? It's usually a no contest between him and his opponents. Poor guy was just too bulky, slow, and plodding to be a threat.

I was one of the ones that voted for him, and...I'm not quite sure. I was filling out my Write-In slots, the image of him gnawing on that clock tower popped into my head, and I though 'cool. why not?' Not one of my better decisions, apparantly...

Pairing him up with a partner could help (Showa Rodan, The original Ultraman, Showa Gamera?). If people are just going to say he loses because he's never been in a fight, he might as well not be in the tournament.

A B&W Goji (that's what I'd call '54 if we took Raids Again into his stats) and Classic Ultraman team up would be awesome. I'm suprised the original Ultraman hasnt been added to the ballot.

Yeah, the original Ultraman is definitely my favorite of the ultras. Hell, if not Godzilla 54/55, Showa Godzilla and the original Ultraman would make a great team.
