[Battle Master] 8:35 pm: Defenses - Gyaos attacks, alien invasions, monster rampages and world take-over attempts are not unknown to Roostville. The JSDF has an air and ground contingent stationed nearby, assisted by Koji Kobayashi and his bush plane. The Roostville Rifle & Maser Society is also ready to defend the town.
[Battle Master] 8:35 pm: BEFORE COMBAT BEGINS and any Battlefield Conditions have been resolved, the SDF forces will fire ONE SHOT at any kaiju not classified as GOOD. They have a Power Number of 25 and any hits will deal ONE WOUND. No Defense Rolls are permitted.
[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: Snack Time!- CARNIVOROUS kaiju may avail themselves of any spectators who have come to watch the battle. When rolling 90-95 on an ATTACK ROLL, instead of attacking its foe, it gobbles up handy Roostafarians, HEALING ONE WOUND. The snacking kaiju FORFEITS its next Defense Roll, however, since it is too busy eating.
[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: Gyaos Attack - If combat lasts longer than 7 Rounds, the Blood Bats swarm down on spectators and kaiju alike, effectively becoming a third combatant. The flock has a Power Number of 40 and takes 2 HITS to disburse. All parties must make a Focus Roll to determine who they will target.

[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: Flight - Gigan is able to fly. He counts as an AERIAL KAIJU and may take the OPPOSITE Bonus for the Cover offered by a battlefield. However, he is equally able to function on the ground and will use either the listed Cover Bonus or that for being an AERIAL KAIJU.
[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: Special Rules: Space Chicken - Gigan is unlikely to stick around if he sees that the battle is going against him.
When Gigan has 1 WOUND REMAINING and if his opponent is winning the fight, roll a d6 at the START OF EACH ROUND. On a roll of 1-2, Gigan decides that discretion is the better part of valor. He flies back into space and OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT, FORFEITING THE MATCH to his opponent.
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Megalon
[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: Special Rules: Really Stupid - Megalon may be the least intelligent monster in the entire kaiju kingdom, requiring close guidance and support to operate properly. BEFORE THE FIRST ROUND of battle begins, roll a d6. On a 1, something has happened to Megalon’s controller, leaving the insect monster to his own limited devices. As a result, Megalon will automatically GO LAST in every Round of combat. Furthermore, if his foe does NOT hit him in a Round, Megalon must make a Focus Roll in order to atta
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Burrowing - Megalon is able to burrow and even tunnel through the hardest ground. It always counts the Cover on a battlefield as ONE CATEGORY HIGHER (+5 BONUS to his DPN), up to the maximum of EXTREME (+20).
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Combined Primal Number: 74 - Hot Potato - Megalon and Gigan whack the kaiju back and forth between them, cackling with glee. The two kaiju each get two free attacks, alternating their attempts.

[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Personal Primal Number: 74 - Constriction - King Cobra wraps itself around its opponent, constricting and crushing the foe. Until the kaiju makes a successful Attack Roll against King Cobra, King Cobra's OPN is INCREASED + 20 and the opponent may make no Defense Rolls.
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Special Rule - Blinders - When King Cobra makes a successful Attack against a foe, its OPN is REDUCED - 15. The venom is wiped away and the OPN goes back to normal after the next round.
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: This trend will continue if King Cobra makes further attacks in a row. If he does not, some of the venom will be wiped away, increasing the OPN + 15 each turn in which King Cobra does not attack successfully until the number returns to normal.

[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Special Rules: Terrain Master - King Seesar is very canny about employing terrain to his advantage and will always count the Cover Bonus for a battlefield as ONE CATEGORY HIGHER (+ 5 BONUS to Defense Rolls), with EXTREME Cover offering him a +25 BONUS to Defense Rolls. This has no effect on battlefields that offer NO COVER and he receives the -5 PENALTY to Defense Rolls.

[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 67 - Zetton Shutter - Instead of attacking, Zetton activates his ultimate defense technique, the Zetton Shutter.
For the NEXT 3 TURNS, Zetton is considered to successfully make ALL Defense Rolls.
If Zetton is dealt a wound through any method that does not permit a Defense Roll (such as Primal Numbers), the Zetton Shutter is immediately deactivated. When it is active, Zetton's Special Rule DOES NOT APPLY.

Once the octopus has been defeated, the battle will proceed as usual, with its enemy retaining any damage caused by the mollusk.
If the octopus defeats its enemy, the opposing kaiju is considered to have won the match

[Battle Master] 9:01 pm: Special Rule: Beam Reflect - Whenever Guiron makes a successful Defense Roll against an opponent with a BEAM WEAPON who has a LOWER OPN or less than 20 points higher than Guiron's, the ray is reflected back at the attacker who must then make a Defense Roll to avoid suffering a Wound.

[Battle Master] 9:02 pm: Flight - Megaguirus is among the fastest kaiju and is able to fly at supersonic speeds. She counts as an AERIAL KAIJU and may take the OPPOSITE Bonus for the Cover offered by a battlefield, treating NONE as EXTREME, for example. Such is her speed that she may RE-ROLL her FIRST 3 FAILED Defense Rolls in any match.

On '1', a monster arrives at the battlefield.
After Round 2, the range is 1-2. Round 3, 1-3. etc.
[Battle Master] 9:18 pm: The monster has a PN of 40. It makes a Focus Roll each round to determine which kaiju it will attack. The DD contenders must do likewise.
It takes two HITS to drive off the Xillian beast which does not make Defense Rolls.
Since the monstrosity is seeking to prevent damage to the Moon base, it has no compunction about attacking kaiju that might have previously been under Xillian control.

If 1-3, the opposing kaiju manages to see the threat and get out of the way. If 4-6 is rolled, Rhiahn has surprised its opponent. BZZT! The Mega Monster has decapitated its foe and claims an instant victory.
[Battle Master] 9:19 pm: Special Rule: - Overloading - If the battle lasts 7 ROUNDS, it has given the Megans enough time to reach the battlefield and fire their Energex Ray, giving Rhiahn +10 to its Power Number. But the Megans aren't turning the ray off! Every 2 ROUNDS (9, 11, etc.), Rhiahn gains ANOTHER +10 to its PN. However, AFTER ROUND 9, every time it gets a boost, Rhiahn gains ONE WOUND ALSO.

I gotta admit a couple of the upsets made me say "the hell?" outloud. Did Megalon do a Chodenji Spin or something? And I guess the Dice Gods just don't like Zetton. Maybe next year our final episode ultraman foe should be Pandon. He could have a second chance rule.

The outcome of Kong Cobra vs. Gigan/Megalon and Moggy vs. Red Baron were lame. Cobra got screwed over by Roostville, and Red Baron freaking hax.

Well, my Super Robot champ sure isn't making any friends this year. He'll probably get hammered by grudge-votes next Round. :(
That, and due to a certain continuing family crisis (which is why I've been out for a while) I simply don't have time to get videos of him in upgraded form up...
