A Question In GXMG

The AZC is supposed to be one of the most powerful weapons ever possessed by a kaiju. After reading several threads involving Kiryu in KK, I realize a lot of people put the AZC as one of those weapons that, if Kiryu fires, the foe will fall.
But in the movie, Kiryu shot Godzilla with the AZC and all it did was seriously injure Godzilla. It didn't freeze him. If this weapon is so powerful, why did it not freeze the kaiju that it was designed to annihilate?

The AZC isn't in GMM.

Kiryu is very powerful in his potential, and yes, the AZC would kill whatever it hit so long as the full blast was implemented.

Perhaps Godzilla shot his beam and that partially deflected the blast (as I think that explains why Kiryu's hand/arm is damaged, as Godzilla shot his beam anyway, ripping it off/damaging it).

<font color='#0000FF'>I can't seem to find another post talking about this subject, in which give a rather good reason for the AZC not killing Goji. That being the case, I shall put it in small words because I don't remember everything I said, but the mian piont was this:

Watch Kiryu, his right arm, which is holding Goji's mouth shut, is in fornt of the AZC, and therefore block it from hitting Godzilla 100%, which is why Kiryu's right arm got blown off, and why Godzilla escaped with only damage, not death.

I dunno if its arm was blocking Godzilla's chest 100%. Godzilla walked away with a VERY big hole in his chest.
