Bagan in the Flesh

Every screaming Bagan fans wants one thing to see the beast in the flesh, but I just don't know why they won't look into other mediums.

His name is unknown at least to me, but he first appeared in 1985 in the third episode of Space Wolf Juspion.

Silvergon appears in Ultraman Tiga episode 26. He may not look exactly like Bagan, but he does have its feel and some of its characteristics.

Kottempoppe appeared in Ultraman Zearth the movie and to me really looks a hell of a lot like Bagan, though he likes to suck up gold.

Zog's second form appears in Ultraman Gaia episode 51. Has more of a dragon appeal, but has that really powerful kaiju thing going for it, as well as it being 300 meters tall.

Daitanix appears in Gingaman episode 41. Daitanix can't be more like Bagan, all its missing are Bagan's shoulders.

Lol, good mentions you have there, Biohazard! I've only seen Silvergon and Daitnaix in action, through his US counterpart on "Power Rangers Lost Galaxy", Titanasaur (yep, ain't making this up). Daitnaix / Titanasaur would be closer to Bagan in power and strength, but I tend to favor Silvergon for being his own character. Loved how despite the fact that he was a powerful brute, he had extremely poor eye sight and along with it, extremely poor mental skills. Which now brings me to...

*Ultraman Tiga kicks him in the butt quickly and freeze out of Silvergons vision*

"Hey! Who did that?!?! Stop, its not funny!"

*Tiga does it again*

"HEEYYYY!!!!!!! Me say stop it....argghh! Silvergon not happy! Silvergon likes to wear mittens!"

*Tiga takes away Silvergon's mittens and give him a smack upside the head then hides out of his sight again*

"Hey, my mittens...where'd they go...why me...duh!"

I'd do it myself, but there's some complications concerning that I just don't want to get into right now and a e-mail attachment would be best for me!

And in return, I can send scans of the "Gridman" monsters Bagira and Jubigon, the first being born from a rejected Bagan design, the second just having to much of a resemblance to the unmade kaiju king.

I wish I could get some capture equipment to get some of the others, like you said Bagira, which who most people thing looks exactly like Bagan. Though, I am fond of his more robotic form that appeared in somewhere in the 20's, the episode where he got into some computer and woke up a mummy for whatever reason.

There are a couple of designs that look like Bagan from Godman and Fireman, but I have nothing to get a good shot of them with.

I should bust out my Ultraman Great VCDs and get a couple of get shots of Shiralee another rejected Bagan design.

Whao, those are some weiard lookin kaiju. They look cool though, tough too. The Zog guy looks just bad ***.

Zog's first form, i.e, the radiant, shining doomsday angel thingy, was infinitely more powerful than its second form though [ the one in the picture ]. Nontheless an interesting Kaiju and a powerhouse at that. Aside from Zog, the only other Kaiju I've seen in action is Silvergon, one of the best Kaiju to appear in Ultraman Tiga. He killed Yanakagi with sadistic glee, too bad he was massacred by Neosaurus( ? ) in Ultraman Dyna, though.

This is off-topic, but how was Zog destroyed in the end? Just curious.

This is a double-post, and I apologize, but I have to say that the first monster looks like Dracula's final form in Castlevania: Dracula X, for the Turbo Duo system.

Don't know how exactly Zog gets destroyed, but I believe it was the combined powers of Ultraman Gaia, Ultraman Agul, the earth defense forces and various guardian monsters that did the inter-dimensional titan in.

*Spoiler for the ending of Ultraman Gaia*

After Gaia and Agul dish out a whole bunch of energy attacks to her angel form, she transforms into her beast form. Gaia gets stepped on Agul saves him. Mizunoenoryuu comes and attacks Zou, Ultraman Gaia and Agul fly through her neck. After that they land and both combine Spectrem rays that make Zou explodes. Everyone cheers.


To me, she got taken down way too easily for such a ultra strong kaiju.
