Toho Kong merchandise

<font color='#728FCE'>When Toho lets someone make a figure of their King Kong or even Mechanikong;from what i've heard they wouldn't allow them to use Mechanikong in a heisei movie script,so that leaves the question how much is Toho allowed to do concerning figures and such? For instance for a gashapon set would they be able to do one with Kong or would they need to ask for rights even to do that first?

I'm not sure. Toho haven't been able to use Kong and Mecha Kong in any films or video games, etc. but they HAVE had Bandai figures made. So maybe the price to use them varies on what they are using them in. Because I know the costs were too much for Toho's budgets so they couldn't be in the films. I'm pretty sure they have the same restrictions on Frankenstein's Monster.
