Any one of our members here believe in ghosts, and good or bad spirits? Anyone here ever been, or witnessed, or knew someone who was possessed by a demon or the Devil himself? *http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif Has anyone ever seen a ghost, poltergeist, demon etc? Has anyone on this board ever lived in a house that was haunted? Have one of our members ever contacted a spirit or demon using a wee-ji (yes, I know it's spellt wrong)board? Has anyone here ever been contacted by an angel, Jesus, or a dead relative? Ever hear, or see things that couldn't logically be explained? Have you ever been warned about the horrors of the future by a spirit from another plain of existence? Has a ghost, demon or spirit ever spoken through you? Have you ever woken up to find yourself laying bed, surrounded by demons? Has the Devil ever spoken with you? Do demons inhabit your dreams? Do you see visions in your head, that eventually do come true? Etc. etc.

Personally no. Though I do have "friend of a friend" stories. I once heard a relative of mine say that after playing with a ouji board that her bed began levitating and she began to feel sick. Another relative (I won't get more specific without getting their permission first) said that she had once been confronted by evil spirirts in her bed. She beat them away with her faith in God.
As for me, nothing really ewcept for a very strange nightmare I once had. I thought that I was in a "Nightmare on Elm Street" scenario. Y'know the nightmares are real and yopu're gonna get iy. I even woke up thinking that I was still in the nightmare.
  But that hardly counts

No. Although I do beleive in the case of the Jersey devil. Also I have a freind who says that oine night his lights started to go on and off and he heard noises outside. I didn't beleive him at the time although now I'm not sure. I suppose I'll probably get nightmares after I watch horor films since once I woke up shaking after a dream. Personally though I think excorcisims and the such aren't real.

On December 1st, I had this very 'creepy' dream with the Devil in it.. and it went like this: I was at my aunt's house with my friend. And in the dream the house was being haunted by some evil demonic spirit. All the usual stuff that happens in a haunting goes on. And there's this presence of evil in the house.. and my friend performs a sort of exorcism called a banishing to get rid of the demon... and it didn't work... so me and him to go outside.. and my mother's friend is there.. and she tells me that she can feel somethinge evil near by... so there's a TV in the drive way and it turns on.. but it's not plugged in and it's in the drive way.. and on the TV in black and white, I see this guy with horns and wings and a pitchfork or staff of some sort. And I got freaked out as he waved his pitch fork/staff across the screen. Then I started to have visions of this devil killing my family... and man was it creepy.. the demon is lurking around, and I know this thing.. wants to kill me.. I knew I was going to die.. I was running from this monster that couldn't be seen.. and I knew I was going to die no matter what... last thing I remember before waking up was Satan, the demon I saw on the Tv had appeared before my very eyes and was talking to me...

Do I believe in ghosts? Well, it is not beliefe for me, as I have seen one. When my family moved to California, we stayed with my aunt for a few months before my dad bought a house. I was sharing a room with one of my cousins, a second floor room that had a long hallway just outside it. Now then, I have always suffered from insomina, it takes me quite some time to fall asleep. However, there was something else at work, I can still recall the sort of undefinable dread that seemed to tug at me, and it was much more than the long move and such (back then I was rather excited to have moved to California, naive child that I was). Anyway, that night, as I peered into the dark hallway, two glowing yellow eyes manifested, suggesting a dark shape beneath. These eyes stared back at me and began to 'walk' down the hallway. I watched them for some little amount of time before summoning enough breath to scream. Once I did that, they disappeared. This happened on two consecutive nights before I was relocated to a cot in the room where my parents were sleeping.

Now we all have foolish childhood nightmares and fancies, but this was something else entirely. I can recall it as vividly as anything, and I would have to say that the experience has never really left me. It is one of the most tangible and unsettling experiences with what might be called the supernatural that I have had. There was something there in that house on Orange Lane, and it wasn't something healthy or wholesome.

Do I believe in ghosts? Probably. The best evidence that I can think of is during this school activity. It's an annual three-day seminar, usually held in a place as far from the city as possible. Anyway, my friends and I went outside for awhile to do some exploring. There was absolutely no light at all in the place, save from the ones emanating from our flashlights. One of my friends had a videocam with him all the time, for what reason I never really knew. After about a half hour of adventuring, he turned on his camera and started to record... he recorded trees, the moon, the surrounding albeit minimal foliage and just about everything. Including the malicious, leering shape that clung to one tree. At first we thought it wa just a bad image. but then the thing actually started winking at us. We ran back into the 'campsite' as fast as we could, though the teacher already knew we were missing by then.

Ghost, demon, cryptid or whatever, it truly was the most frightening thing I have ever exerienced. I knew one thing, though, that whatever it was, it was NOT friendly.

As for the Devil, I believe in him fullheartedly. I have dreams involving him occasionally, one time he even appeared as a man with a red boar's head named Diabuhlon. And the boar's head had flies and maggots nesting in its mouth, and had a fetish for butchering babies. Aside from him having the pig's head, the human body he had was also completely black, like it had been burned or painted several times in a row.... Creepy. Oh, and my classmate once claimed he had been possessed by the Devil, but it was driven away the very instant he put on a Miraculous Medal of Our Lady. Usually there would be an exorcism to ward off the Devil from his host-body, and that's why I highly doubt his being possessed.

Peace,

Melkor

The following is a real conversation just held in the Roost chatroom. I am Anavel_Kato and Khandejifer is Lord Galvatron. DarkSideReject is himself. Note to DarkSide: Please note that I didn't post this to make you look like a wussy, as you seem to think. It was just for the sheer hilarity of it all.

LordGalvatron: Not a word of lies.. I saw Satan's eyes...

DarkSideReject: in the patato salad??

LordGalvatron: and my mother grew up in a haunted house.. her and my aunts have told some detailed stories...

LordGalvatron: I am not joking

LordGalvatron: THis is serious

Anavel_Kato: I c.

DarkSideReject: Please tell!

DarkSideReject: if its no family secret of course

LordGalvatron: this demonic entity in the shape of a man used to appear in my aunts room at night...

LordGalvatron: and discuss things that only she knew...

DarkSideReject: hmmmmmmmmmmm.........

LordGalvatron: and she used to wake up at night screaming like a butchered pig.. her uncle Neil left the house and never came back cause of her screaming....

LordGalvatron: Her brother said he'd never sleep in the house
again...

Anavel_Kato: Intriguing.

LordGalvatron: There were rumours about a pair of teeth buried in the wall... well at night chattering could be heard... then one day when the wall was torn down, chattering teeth were found...

DarkSideReject: aaahhhh Ive had anough now,

LordGalvatron: Two brothers built the house, and one shot the
other and buried him in the drive way... my aunt Anne believes that his bones are definately there...

Anavel_Kato: Weird.

LordGalvatron: a bunch of one of my aunts friends were other one night when they heard chains in the basement.,.. but there was no basement... and they thought it wa sone of their friends.. but he called them from his house at that moment.

DarkSideReject: serious man that is freaky! and starting to freak me out

LordGalvatron: my aunt Maisie, had a dream her brother Herbe
was hung in the hall by men in dark coats

Anavel_Kato: I agree, as intriguing as it is.

LordGalvatron: Rosie used to wake up at night being choked..
when she turned on the light she was safe...

Anavel_Kato: Agreeing with DarkSide, that is.

DarkSideReject: Iam now offically freaked out of my mind

LordGalvatron: a shovel could always be heard digging up the
driveway, but no one was there...

LordGalvatron: you could also hear a truck parking in the
driveway... but there was no truck...

Anavel_Kato: I think DarkSide is gonna commit suicide soon.

LordGalvatron: foot steps were heard...

LordGalvatron: Maisie saw her mother in the house.. even though her mom was dead...

DarkSideReject: Take a hint!!! i-a-m-f-r-e-a-k-e-d-o-u-t-n-o-w-!!!!!!!!!!!

Anavel_Kato: Haha, I think DarkSide is scarred for life.

LordGalvatron: no one was in the house... Maisie was out on the front step with her father... and Rosie was out back with her boyfriend when holy water came out the window.... rosie thought maisie through it... but

LordGalvatron: my cousin who is like 30 slept in that house when she was a kid.. and is really scared of soemthing she SAW tehre....

DarkSideReject: You owe me a new computer chair!!!!!!

Anavel_Kato: OK, that's enough. I think DarkSide is gonna pull out a knife and stab himself soon...

Anavel_Kato: brb

LordGalvatron: Rosie and her mother both saw a flash of light
simutaneously, they were in differnet rooms.. Rosie told me it was for runner.. meaning someone was gonna die... her and her mom thought uncle niel was gonna die.. but Rosie mom (my grand mother ) died

LordGalvatron: &Rosie's mom

DarkSideReject: no but really man this is very scary!!

LordGalvatron: a priest's wallet was found in the attic

Anavel_Kato: There goes DarkSide's sanity.

LordGalvatron: another family who lived there before my mother's family said weird stuff did happen in the house,.. but they never liked to tlak about it

Anavel_Kato: "Evacuate the chatroom! Evacuate the chatroom!"
*sirens wail*

DarkSideReject: wwhaattt aarrere yyoouu ttaallkkinng AbbOOUT KKKAAAAtttooo//???//

Anavel_Kato: You proved my point.

Anavel_Kato: Think Khan's stopped.

DarkSideReject: Hmmmmm????????

Anavel_Kato: Just joking.

LordGalvatron: Rosie felt like she was always being watch when
she ate in teh kitchen so she closed the door to the next room...

Anavel_Kato: DarkSide...I think you may want to leave...

LordGalvatron: a ghost of a lady walked past her on the stairs

Anavel_Kato: This could go on for a while.

LordGalvatron: Rosei used to think her brother Herbe was
possessed by the house's evil...

DarkSideReject: Your enjoying this arent you?

Anavel_Kato: I am, so Khan might be as well.

Anavel_Kato: Hey, when this is through, I'm gonna record this and put it up on the Roost forums.

DarkSideReject: please dudes this is very very very freaky

LordGalvatron: Rosie thinks that Satan has been out to get since she changed her religion from Catholic (The Satanic Religion) to CHristian (The True God believers).. Satan appeared to her as the voice of man, and then took on teh voice of her sister Masie and said "You didn;t know it was me?"

Anavel_Kato: Might as well leave, Dark. There's no end in sight.

LordGalvatron: no

LordGalvatron: that's all

LordGalvatron: you asked, so i told you everything

Anavel_Kato: All right! Time to record this!

***

This was too hilarious not to post, and I wonder if Khan's stories will intrigue or freak you out as they did to me and DarkSide.

Please take note that all the stories that I told are NOT fictional.

DarkSideReject: Hey,dont u dare Kato! I look like a sissy!!!
Anavel_Kato: It's all in good fun.
LordGalvatron: oh wait... Rosie had another dream with a man in a
black coat killing everything that moved with a shotgun, and Satan
had appeared as a Raven.. in another dream.. Satan tried to kill
her granddaughter....
Anavel_Kato: No one will mind.
DarkSideReject: That last was fake!!!
LordGalvatron: No.
LordGalvatron: Just ask my aunt!
DarkSideReject: Ahhh really??
LordGalvatron: That's all 100% truth
DarkSideReject: Ive got one of my own...
LordGalvatron: really? I thought I saw a ghost to.. but now I don't
know if it was a ghost or imagination...
LordGalvatron: wanna here that tale?
LordGalvatron: *those tales
DarkSideReject: ummmm ok??
DarkSideReject: Iam goning to regrect this...
DarkSideReject: ummm galvatron??
DarkSideReject: anybody there??
LordGalvatron: Once I was at my friends when there was a load
bang and the door to the room flung open, and I saw someguy all
black, his clothes, face, boats, etc.. pointing at me.. I literally
jumped into the closet... the man's face was kind of... weird.. no
eyes.. just blurr... second time, I was the same friends' and I looked
into the hall which lead into the kitchen, and i saw the dark shape
of a man,, i moved..........
Anavel_Kato: I'm here.
LordGalvatron: it moved in the same diection....
LordGalvatron: so i moved again.. it moved too.. then it pointed at
me...
LordGalvatron: so I ran out of the house like an idiot.
DarkSideReject: really??
LordGalvatron: #### was that creepy...
DarkSideReject: gulp*
LordGalvatron: and there was all the times me and everyone
THOUGHT we saw eyes in the windows of the house at night...
LordGalvatron: but that was ####ing creepy when what appeared
to be my shadow at first.... pointed at me....
LordGalvatron: ####
LordGalvatron: Creepy...
Anavel_Kato: Whoa...
DarkSideReject: Thats it!!! Iam killing myself byebye
Anavel_Kato: Bye
LordGalvatron: wait
DarkSideReject: Damn Sat...I meen God sent me back!!!
Anavel_Kato: Up goes the convo, on the Roost!
LordGalvatron: and there was that time I mentioned when I saw
Satan's eyes.. I was siting here, viewing the roost... and my mind
was absolutely blank.. it was more clear then ever.. when I had a
vision of two YELLOW evil eyes in an evil, firey place... ####... I
started breatghing real heavy and said, I have got to come down..
breath normal... cuase I knew if i didn't then i would die.. don't ask
how.. i just knew./...
DarkSideReject: Aparently he's enjoying your storys, and is useing
my body to read the posts
LordGalvatron: ####..
LordGalvatron: that was weird!
LordGalvatron: the yellow eyes were weird.. i just knew I was going
to die.. if I didn;t start breathing normally again... Satan or a demon
sent that vision to me.. I wouldn't have been breathing like a
nervous ******* if I envisioned it on my own.
LordGalvatron: then I heard his weird noise in the house...
Anavel_Kato: I seriously expect to see Satan in my dreams
tonight...
LordGalvatron: luckily it stopped...
DarkSideReject: Get out of my head!!!
LordGalvatron: i saw him a dream a had too...
LordGalvatron: I posted it at MZ...
LordGalvatron: ####.. that was the scariest dream I ever had...

<font color='#810541'>Theres this creepy house just down the road from my house thats like 100 years old...
anyways,my freind had bought a knew helmet it it reflected like a mirror.he hung it on the bike handle and we started to throw rocks into the open windows,I went back by the helmet to throw, the helmet flashed some light in my eyes and I looked at It and behind me was a tree,in the reflection was a girl standing beside the tree!,I called my freinds over to look, and they saw it too.it really freaked us out, there was anougther tree and a boy appeared.

Being prety much idoits we continued to throw rocks, but the rocks &quot;bounced&quot; hitting the floor more then useul, and the rocks started to fly out of the house,at use I got hitt in the arm,but my friends both got them in the head.
Thinking that some one was up there,we went inside looking, when we went up-stairs some small boards sperated each peice of wall.I saw something, walk by but the head was coverd by a wall.I preatty much jump out of the house.
In the barn behinde the house, there is all ways a man in black holding &nbsp;a bible, and he smiles at u and dis-appers.
And the creature.I was walking in the woods with a few of my freinds,we seen a shadow in a bunch of trees,we ignored it and walked on,but it followed us.the same one from the house stary throw a rock at the shadow,it was about 70 feet away, and it screamed at us!! we all ran but it jumped throw the trees,I trip on a log,and stayed still but it still spoted me,my freinds yelled at me to come but I was too scared. It jumped at me,I grabed a stick and smacked it in the face it fell to the ground,I got up and ran back up the steep hill and I havent seen it seince.

This really happened Iam telling the truth, every word of this is true, the creature incadint(sp?) still bothers &nbsp;me.

<font color='#FF0000'>I used to live in a haunted house. I lived there for about eight years and saw some scary stuff.

I would always have theese fleeting images throughout the house. One time I saw a headless man run my parents room into the bathroom.

On mt tenth birthday me and my two friends saw the reflection a burned old lady in my TV screen. We also saw a cat-like white like leap from my closed using a night vision scope.

I layed down in bed one night and my cover ripped off me like someone pulled them, but I was alone.

My father got me one of those Nick Click Digital Camera set for my birthday. Me and a friend where taking a few a pictures one day. When we loaded them onto my desktop there was an extra picture showing a boys face. The thing is, it was neither of us.

I slept on the couch one night and the next morning I was awakened by a lady screaming in my ear.

I always felt like I wasnt alone and was being watched. Because of this I rarely ever went in my room alone.

My friend and I where filming up in the woods one days. M y friend was filming a tree when suddenly a white figure walked in front of him. The camera fizzled out like there was magnetic interference and it came back on fully zoomed in.

That was definetely a scary time in my life.

DarkSideReject: hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
[DarkSideReject left channel _rodansroost]
MothMan: I am Back
MothMan: what did I miss?
Aiglos: Hey Mothman
Aiglos: Nothing much
MothMan: aw
Aiglos: Just DarkSide using his jedi mind tricks
MothMan: that ol CLint would just love....
Aiglos: You should see Clint when I type something about Star
Wars or Gosford Park..
Aiglos: The two movies he hates most, I think
MothMan: Gosford Park.. never heard of it
Aiglos: It was an Oscar contender. It won 7, I think.
MothMan: aw
Aiglos: I hated it
MothMan: what was so bad about it?
Aiglos: It was boring. I think it was overrated. I heard someone sa it
had uninspired plot twists, I have to agree with that. aLso, the
murder was uninspired.
MothMan: Gil-galad ?
Aiglos: Gil-galad was an Elven king, who was killed by Sauron bec.
he pissed him off
MothMan: Aw.
Aiglos: Actually, in the prologue of FOTR he was one of the
leaders of the Alliance, but when they got to Mordor he was killed
by Sauron. The name of his spear is Aiglos.
MothMan: I've only seen the films.. I read some of the Simillarion..
but that book was to complicted/confusing to read I found...
MothMan: *complicated
Aiglos: i know, hat's why it took me almost a year to finish that
book. I still don't get most of the stuff that's in there, though
MothMan: it was complicated word after complicated word.. I don't
recall if I made it past chapter 1 or not.
Aiglos: The first chapter is arguably the most complicated, bec. it
deals with creation and other similar stuff.
MothMan: &quot;Including the malicious, leering shape that clung to one

MekaGojira3k: true
MothMan: besides Dr. Kain?
MekaGojira3k: Who is Dr.Kain?
MothMan: No one...
MekaGojira3k: ok...
MothMan: about the DVDs, if only sony did the same for the Heisei
series.. Toho's Dubs suck... I can't enjoy any of those films, 'cept
GvSG.... the dubbing is tolerable.....
[Aiglos joined channel _rodansroost]
MothMan: WB
Aiglos: There you are. my keyboard froze, and i had to close a lot
of windows.
MekaGojira3k: I prefer subtitled over any kind of dub anyday
MothMan: Gonna tell me about the thing clinging to the trees?
MothMan: MG3k, I don't mind dubbing... well... US dubbing... like
AIP, UPA, or even Sony's G2k, but Toho's International dubs... I
can only stamd a few of those.....
MothMan: *stand
Aiglos: Yeah. I was on a seminar, more like an extracurricular
school activity actually. On the second night, my friends and night
decided to leave for awhile and explore the territory. After about
30mins, we came to this spot. One of my friends had a digicam with
him
Aiglos: Anyway, he started taping some stuff, when he suddenly
found a curious looking tree. I swear it looked like as if a ghost
were crucified in the middle of the damn thing.
MothMan: creepy...
MothMan: my flash light stopped working....
Aiglos: He started to zoom at it, when he pinpointed this weird
shape that seemed to leer at him. It looked like a crouching frog;
but no frog it was, it was something more sinister altogether.
MothMan: was it transparent?
Aiglos: He finally got to the point where he got sared, and my
friend called us to his side.
Aiglos: Nope.
Aiglos: Anyway, we looked at the footage he was getting. He
zoomed one last time, and stopped at what looked like a face. And
then the face winked at us... and we ran like scared little sissies to
the campsite, but it was too late, we were already, um, discovered.
Aiglos: My friend showed his footage to the rest of my classmates.
They were all unnerved, but not so much as me.
MekaGojira3k: neat story
Aiglos: I think it even had fur and some semblance of horns,
though that may have been the result of too much fear.
Aiglos: Nope, it happened in real life.
MothMan: eerie... just eerie... reminds me of the time my shadow
pointed at me,... atleast I thought it was my shadow.... ......... you
said you felt that the frog thing was evil?
MothMan: or, u knew it was ewvill...
MothMan: *evil
[Roostafarian joined channel _rodansroost]

enough to be evil. And i could swear that I heard lauging when I
first saw that footage.

Roostafarian: hey mon
MothMan: Say... Melkor... would you be able to show me (and
other roosters) that footage..
MothMan: ?
Aiglos: I don't know...
Aiglos: My friend says the tape was lost.
Aiglos: idiot
Roostafarian: THE Melkor is here? It is an honor and priviledge to
meet the founder of Rodan's Roost!
Aiglos: Morgoth is the founder
Aiglos: Melkor is the Moderator
Aiglos: Nice to meet you

heard any cases of a similar entity?

rez0007: hey aig? who are all of you lol, i'm sure i know most of
you
TimtheEnchanter: hi everybody
Aiglos: Yes i have, but this one looked like a hairy frog, you know
TimtheEnchanter: fine be that way
Aiglos: Hello Tim
TimtheEnchanter: ahhh there we go
MothMan: Melkor.. what about your friend being possessed... how
did that happen?
Aiglos: Oh, he claims he had been possessed. I don't believe one
bit
rez0007: i'd think being posessed would be something that you
wouldn't remember
rez0007: or aware of while its happening
Aiglos: I mean, would you believe a guy who claims he was
immacualte since the time of his conception? That's blasphemy,
imho.. and he's a catholic
Roostafarian: who's second in command, Saruman?
rez0007: he's #3

<font color='#FF0000'>I fully believe in demons and spirits. One of my friends houses is haunted, really. One day I was over there, his parents weren't in the house, and it was creepy. His hallway is really bad, I mean, you can't stand to be in it with no one around for a few seconds bad. And his woods (he lives in the woods) has, or did have, a demon. Really. I've seen it. Well, it was a flash of orange, but no, it wasn't hunting season. At a camp out there, we all went into the woods, and it chased us out. It was dark, and you couldn't see it, but it was there. I could feel it. Also, my aunt's house used to be haunted. She woke up one night and saw a guy, in like, a British uniform or somthing, standing in her kitchen. I can somtimes feel things. Like creepy stuff.

Have any of you heard of the Devil's Hunt or the Wild Hunt? It's supposed to be an omen of death. If you see it, you usually die within a few hours or days. Anyway, the Devil's Hunt goes back, I think, to the Middle Ages. People from Europe would report seeing great, black hounds with flaming red eys and dripping saliva and a horde of demons riding them. It looked very much like a grotesque parody of a hunt, with the Devil himself at the head, hence the name. Once a person sees the Hunt, his soul is borne by the hounds of Hell, though as I said, it could not be as immediate as the case. Anyway, why am I mentioning this? Because for the past couple of days, my neighborhood has been hearing howling at night: one person even complained to one of our neighbors why he was 'always letting his dog out during the night'. But this is impossible, because you see, that particular neigbor of mine did have a dog, but it had been dead for many a year now...

I suppose I may be just a little too paranoid. Heck, maybe that person WAS right, and maybe that thing he saw was just an ordinary dog. Dog, hellhound, supernatural or not, whatever the damn hell it is, it better shut up. http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I once had a creepy &quot;half-dream&quot; in my bed. I was about eight or nine, and there was some creepy shadow there. Then I had this weird encounter. It seemed to be more of a &quot;dream-format,&quot; so I'm guessing (hoping) it wasn't real. The shadow turned into that of what I imagined the Devil to look like. FLASH! Satan came over to my bed (laughing, I think) and stabbed me with his pitchfork. I was really scared, and had to call my parents into the room.

I once knew a kid, in third and fourth grade, who claimed to be the Devil. Funny, he was a good friend of mine. He even made a little book called &quot; The Sacred Book of Satan.&quot; I think I looked at it, not much there.

At times, I flip off the floor. http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Here's the creepiest, most frightening nightmare I've had to date, occuring just last night. Frightening because it was so real and most of the dream occured in my own bedroom.

From what I remember, it started with my body being paralyzed, and my head being driven into my pillow. Something is driving it into my pillow, someone's hand. As this happened, the thought that it was Roost Fighter's Clint Werner hit me. I fought to move my body, but when I did, something happened to my sight: it suddenly made a strange triangle downwards. I saw Zechs Merquise on the left side, something else on the right side, and white in the middle. This occured for quite a while, with the trinagle flipping up and me seeing normally save for the triangle, until finally it stopped.
Fast-forward. I'm in a recliner, and fighting to move my body. I finally do, but it makes my vision do the same thing as before. This happens, then stops after a while.
Fast-forward again. In my bed again, head being pushed into the pillow, body paralyzed. This time when I move I see this black video game sprite, Street Fighter's Vega with inverted colours. It runs on one spot, in the air, but then it turns around and bolts out of my room. I chase it, but as I go I seem to shrink. I finally get into my brother's bedroom (the light on but no one in it) and I see this mirror. The reflection is of Chun-Li screaming, but the thing looking into it makes me extremely scared, perhaps in a state of paralyzing shock. Imagine it as Blackheart (Marvel vs Capcom), but with a mouth and fuzzy orange at the end of each tendril.

I beleive in the devil, and I also beleive in demonic spirits. I personally have never experianced the presence of one, but, I have learned of a rather scary and true tale from my mother about my great-aunt. My great-aunt found her dream home. Her husband had just died, but she had gotton plenty of money to live the rest of her life on. She found a perfect house in Pennsalvania with a rather low price-tag. She moved in, and loved the house instantly. She thought that she heard somebody upstairs, but when she looked nobody was there. That night, however, something freakish happened. She was nearly asleep, when she began to feel a weird sensation and a presence. She tried to ignore it, but then she began to feel something pulling on her feet. She was starting to get scared, but then the bed began to shake. She started to scream. Finally, the shaking and pulling stopped, but she was left scared to death. Tired, she decided to try and sleep anyway. From then on, every now and then this would happen, but one night, she heard somebody laughing while it occured. &quot;OH GOD!&quot; She screamed at the top of her lungs, and everything stopped. A neighboor came to investigate, and found her on the floor sobbing and praying. He took her to his families house, and convinced her to move out. She sold it to a younger woman and her husband. She felt bad, and wanted to tell them, but she knew that she needed the money after spending much of it on the house. A few years later, she came back, but the house was abandoned. She went over to the neighboor's house and asked what happened. According to him, the husband had jumped out the window, commiting suicide, and the wife was taken to the mental hospital claiming, &quot;It was pulling on my feet, oh god it was pulling my feet!&quot;

All this happened when my mom was about six years old, so it occured a long time ago, and it was only recently that I found out about this.

Have you ever had one of those nights...

Where you hear the voices
They're coming closer
It's getting dark
and the darkness is near you
when your sleeping
The strange voices
They're near
They are evil
They are coming
They're here
Then you scream and run
You run faster
and the voices are coming closer...

Last night, I heard the voices, I was in the darkness

Was it you?

Do I believe in ghosts? I'm sort of in the middle of the road on this one. I have never had any experiences (thank God), but at the same time, I believe they can exist in our own realm.
As for the Devil...I do believe in it. I believe in God so it is only appropriate to believe in a god of the underworld.

That 'guest' was the banned twice, Super godzilla fan! http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

Anyway, my faith in ghosts has been renewed with me hearing experiences from my family and a personal experience.
&nbsp; One relative used to know two girls. One of them died and was burried at a graveyard. The other started to die of cancer. One night, when my relative was driving home from work, he went past the graveyard that the girl had been burried in. That girl appeared in the back seat of his car. My relative saw her and was terrified. They both said nothing untill finally my relative explained that she must get out or he would crash the car of fright. The girl simply told him to tell the girl who was dying of cancer that she was thinking about her. Then she vanished. Ghost? I think so.
&nbsp; My other relative was about to cross a road once. A lorry had just passed with heavy bars. She was about to cross when what felt like an arm was stopping her. She struggled against the unseen force but could not go ahead when suddenly the lorry's heavy cargo collapsed onto the road. She would of been killed if the unseen 'arm' hadn't of stopped her. Angel? Spirit? I think so.
I dont think my relatives would lie as they are not those kind of people. But - I have had two personal experiences.
&nbsp; &nbsp; Once when I was young I heard noises outside like footsteps. I looked through the keyhole and I saw a brown hairy hand with long black figernails leaning against the wall. I blinked and it vanished. I looked outside and nothing was there.
&nbsp; More recently, this happened. I recorded radio interference, that of which you get when you go between two diffrent radio stations, known as 'white noise' People have told me that the dead spoke through these radio signals. The first tape did not work. But I tried again and asked at the beginning &quot;Who are you? What do you want?&quot; After about 50 seconds it
says &quot;Help....me&quot; I haven't recorded again but I will soon. I have been afraid to for a while. It really shook me up when I heard the tape.
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; And as for all those chatroom chats. I would like to ask Lord K why he bothered posting the second transcript that he posted. It was off-topic. As for the rest, they are creepy. You were right Treize (kato) it does make Dark side look like a wussy! http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
&nbsp;I am joking of course.
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; On the whole with these experiences listed above I now beleive in ghosts. But Satan? Im still not sure about that one. &nbsp;http://www.kaijuphile.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleepy.gif

<font color='#000080'>In answer to your initial question (not going to bother reading the rest of this topic) Yes. I have had friends who were &quot;possesed&quot;. More than one. Yeah, you're probably laughing. Go right on ahead. But it really does change your viewpoint on things to see someone you love and respect who is also a professing Christian to claim alligience to The Devil, and then after ten minutes of prayer look at you with tears in their eyes and ask you what just happened. It's scary and enthralling at the same time. If you're religious, it does wonders for your faith.

Quote[/b] (biollanties revenge @ Jan. 01 2004,22:31)]I slept on the couch one night and the next morning I was awakened by a lady screaming in my ear.
Although i dont believe in ghosts, i had this same experience, i dont know wether it was because i was half asleep or i was just hearing things.

That wasnt the only thing that happend though, just before i herd the scream (which shaken me up alot) it felt like somebody was shaking my bed, (i was almost asleep, like really asleep but wasnt sleeping) and then i herd the scream, strucked by fear i sat up as quick as i can, looking around, trying to see what has happend, but nothing stood in my room except me, i stayed up for the rest of the night.

Another story of mine. I was really young (maybe i was in 6th grade), i was watching a movie with my family. Later. I had to go to the restroom, and when i was approaching the hallway, i see a young girl in rugged clothes with no face run into one of the rooms, i was too scared so i just ran to my family and asks if they saw a girl just now, and they said &quot;no.&quot;...

^these are 2 experiences i went through.^

I herd other storys though, one night, a girl was followed by a ghost. When she got home and did what she had to, she lay in bed trying to get some sleep (the lights were all off so it was really dark) she closes her eyes, and after she felt a cold breeze over her, she opens her eyes. Looking up into the ceiling, she is face to face with a pale emotionless face floating above her's (it was only a face, prolly 4 feet away from her's), she was too freakin scared to move, scream, or even blink. This, my friends, made sleeping really hard for me...

<font color='#FF0000'>I acidently already posted this in the wrong thread, but here it is again. I will probably delete the other one.

just remebered two experiences that I have had. One might be easily explained, but I doubt the other one could.

The first was that one afternoon I was waiting for my mother and sister to come in the car. I was looking out the window when I saw what I thought was an airplane (it might have been, but wait). It was just flying along, but then I tried to stare at it. Now, I do wear glasses/contacts, but I still don't have the best eyesight in the world. But as I looked at the object, it seemed to come into focus, I could see angles and the exact shape of it. And it had to be at least 20+ miles away. This in itself was weird, but as I was watching it, the object stopped, and I could no longer see the details of it. I blinked, trying to clear my eyes for I had been staring for about a minute. When I looked for it again, it was gone. This was about 3 or 4 years ago.

Another event. For one thing, we have a graveyard next to our house. And not one of those large church graveyards. It is a small, private graveyard, and I have no idea as to why it is even on our property, though it has been here before I was born, and before my grandfather even bought this property. It has around 20 gravemarkers in it. But one October/November afternoon I was down by the small patch of tall weeds/grass that is next to the graveyard (which has no real meaning to this story, it is just freaky) with my dog. We were just playing in the grass. When I noticed that a large patch of grass had been flatend when I followed a trail of bent grass. I thought that perhaps a deer had laid there until I noticed that it looked like a humanoid had laid there. I laid down in the patch and it had seemed as if a person had slept there. But it was a large person. When I got up, the form had to be at least three feet taller than me, which would put it at around 8 ft, as the impression of my body was swallowed by the impressoin already there. By then my dog had caught up to me. She instantely stopped. The fur on her back was standing up on end and she was growling. She started sniffing the impression furiously. She then bolted through the fence that is in the back of the small lot into the trees, and as I watched, into the cow field. My curiosity significantly peaked, I went back to the spot and started to inspect the ground. Eventually I found a foot print that had broken the and left an impression in the dirt/mud. And it was not mine, as the was an indention for toes. Ther were five, and it was about four-five inches longer than my foot. And I doubt a person would walk barefoot in October/November. The dog finally came back, thoughrly winded, and was extremely nervous anytime we went back down into the hill.

Another story I have doesn't involve me, but my parents and my aunt's (who lives right up the road) three dogs, which are Catahoulla lepord (sp?) dogs, breed to hunt in the Louisiana bayou for boars (my aunt is a dog fanatic). One Sunday morning, while I was at Sunday School, they were sitting in the kitchen at the table. My mother said she could hear my aunts dogs barking. Then she said she could hear what was a scream like she had never heard before, almost like a person she said, but it clearly wasn't. At this my dad went outside, and he could hear one of the dogs yipping as if it were in pain. He said the sound came from the hills east of our house toward my aunt's. Later that day, we visited my aunt's, and one of the dogs a piece of high tensel wire around in nose, almost as if something had broken a piece of the fence and wrapped it around the nose. Another was bloody, but had no wounds. And the bloody one, without leaping up can see into our Grand Marquis' car window, and has a head about 7/8 the lenght of my keyboard. My dad and I searched the hills and found a cow carcass and it was missing bits and pieces. It seemed to me almost as if something had been eating the carcass by tearing pieces of with their hands, as there was no dog bite marks that I could find.

And I know that Dante has some stories as well.

I dont know if its living in kentucky or just me. &nbsp; On a few occasions i go outside to play with my brother or just walk around and i look in the sky and the cigar shape white things in the sky. &nbsp; They'll move for a while and i look away real fast and i cant find them when i look back up. &nbsp; This happened at least 2-3 times. &nbsp;I dont necessarily think their alien craft. &nbsp;I think since i live close to fort knox it might be like a cypher or a test aircraft. &nbsp; Also something freaky that didnt happen to me but if you ever watch scifi network (im sure alot do) they have this footage of a helicopter flying over a city and its sees this weird craft and theyre looking at it and it moves in a jerky fashion. &nbsp;Till it flies up and hits the helicopter leaving a smoke trail. &nbsp; Its pretty neat footage if youve ever seen it.

No one has answered my question about that white noise thing. It's really creepy the way I got 'help me' loud and clear on the tape. You should try it. People reckon that ghosts communicate through the electricity waves...or something like that.

Something happened yesterday morning first my grandma's aunt died about a year ago and so they sold her house and so I had a dream where there were new owners and I was there and so they went into the dining room and she was there the new owners screamed and i was just frozen there with fear.At this point I was half waking and I tried to force my eyes open but they wouldn't open I also felt something holding me down.It was scary. My cousin one time said she heard something like it was that same aunt saying to her one night"I love you" and like she was watching over her still scary even if it was good intentions having an encounter like that.

The night before last I was up at like 12'o'clock whatching TV, and I saw somthing on the deck. It was gone in like a half a second, but it looked like a big black sheet blowing in the wind. It was all tattered, and moved like it was caught in a fast wind. But it was calm. Thats the only freaky thing thats actually happened to me.

Probably doesn;t belong to this category, but close enough.

The other week I had a strange dream. It was nearly sunset, and my mom and I were driving to church, when our car breaks down. Then we see a guy driving his car who turns out to be Cole Deschain, and he offers to drive us to the nearest church. We drive for miles and miles, until finally, in a secluded area in the forest, he made a right, and pretty soon we were in the middle of a small community. There was a church, alright, but it was inside of a decrepit, old building, and I wasnt too sure about the priest either.. He looked like he was hooked on drugs or something. Then Cole Deschain left us. My mom and I realized that the place was near my grandmother's house, so we made our way there. Then we had a snack, and we asked for directions to the old cathedral. after about two hours or so, we were finally in the cathedral. But when we got inside, I was shocked to see the stations of the cross replaced by grotesque pictures of monsters on onse side, and on the other, bizaare torture devices. And where the altar should be was a coffin, along with precious church artifacts, crucifixes, bibles and the like, all covered in purple cloth. Throughout the dream I kept seeing this man that I've never seen before.

The next day, Sunday, I dfound myself sitting in church, where we usually spend our Sunday mornings. Then I was shocked to see the same man from the weird dream in line to receive Holy Communion. Coincidence?

Peace,

Am I the only one creeped out by the fact that if one of us has a dream involving any KP member, Cole Deschain is always in it? That has GOT to be more than coincidence that both you and I have had dreams with Cole in them. I had a strange dream that had Cole, Husnock, and Clint in it; I think the details on that one are in a Dreams thread somewhere in the General Chat.

I over herd my mom talking with my dad about this.
My moms friends sisters birthday was coming up and her sister had bought her a set of wind chimes.Because she wanted some for her garden. But her sister died before her birthday. But on the night of her Birthday, her husband woke her up and told her she could hear windchimes. So they quieted down and heard that the wind chimes were to the tune of the happy birthday song.Very strange.

A ghost is the spirt of a person that had a deep emotion before they died,so stay in the living world until this feeling has passed.

Thanks to Allosaurz for finding this wonder of a video.

Read the following text before clicking the link:

"Watch your screen closely. This is a car advert from somewhere. When they finished filming the ad the people who made it noticed something moving along the side of the car, like a ghostly white mist. The ad was never put on TV because the unexplained ghostly phenomenon frightened the production team out of their wits. Watch it and about halfway look and you will see the white mist crossing in front of the

Tonight has been a really creepy night for me.. Like, I don't know.. if what I've felt.. has been something that was conjured up in my imagination... if it was some kind of hallucination, or delusion.. or if it really happened... but... I know its left me with a creepy chill that won't go away...

Now, before I begin.. I'm going to take you back a while.. My mom, her three sisters and two brothers grew up in a house, where strange things would happen on occasion.. It was said that the house was haunted.. the story was that two brothers who built this house in the late 1800s I think, fought over the land and one killed the other.. and buried him around the house.. Other families that lived there prior to my mother's family reported strange occurences that were not natural... I, myself.. have always had an interest in anything related to ghosts.. demons.. aliens, etc.. I was quite intrigued by the stories of this house.. I asked all my family members all kinds of stories they could tell me (of which I should save for a later time, not know)...

Because of my interest in the supernatural.. I was really exciting when I found out that my girlfriend claimed to live in a haunted house, with very similar stories happening to her.. that happened to my mother's family while growing up.. Even my girlfriend's mother, and her family believe their house haunted.. Why they've even told my girlfriend, that she was stalked by a ghost as a baby.. which, apparantly.. pictures of her as a baby featured strange lights and auras.. always around her.. because of this, my girlfriend claims that she.. can sort of feel spiritual presences.. whenever they are around... Its something she's only shared with one other person besides myself, and doesn't like too many people knowing about...

So.. our story begins last around.. late July.. when I was sitting on the coach, and my girlfriend was laying across me, and we watched "America's Got Talent" and some other shows.. I don't really remember because they weren't very interesting to me.. and all of a sudden, Anthea started to tell that she was being watched.. and she pointed over to where the book shelf is.. and it was really dark, and she has bad eye sight.. and she couldn't see anything.. at all.. but I looked, and saw the book shelf.. and I told her it was nothing.. but she was convinced that someone was standing there.. watching her.. I got kinda freaked out.. and then she said we should go upstairs.. so we did.

Early, this month I guess.. whenever I would go to sleep.. I'd get these feelings that someone else, was in my room with me.. but I considered the possibility it was nothing but my imagine... plagued by what Anthea had said, when she thought there wasa ghost watching us in my basement. I never dismissed what I felt in my room, just considered the possibility it was nothing... Which led us to around last week, when she wanted to go to my aunt's house. Now whats so special about my aunts house, you ask? Its right next to a huge patch of grass... and that is where the haunted house my mother's family grew up in.. used to be before it was torn down...

It was night, it was dark.. There were street lights, but nothing made the area where the house used to be... seem bright.. it was right darker, than usual.. and me and my friend, took a flash light (well, he had it.. not me)... while my girlfriend stayed out of it.. and watched us walk through it... I was in the lead, and um.. I looked into a bush.. because I thought I saw bright red things.. but part of me was saying, "Matt.. its just your imagine.. because you wanna see something." but I grabbed the flash light, and shined it where I thought I had seen something.. and it revealed nothing, and I walked through it until me and my friend had made it through.. And it was ready that night, that Anthea revealed to me that she had felt a presence.. in those bushes me and my friend walked through... She claimed, she got really scared when I shined the light in the spot I had thought I seen something, because.. she felt something 'bad in that spot'.. and she advised me to stay away from there...

Now.. comes tonight.. the creepiest night of all nights.. Like, me and Anthea were just.. watching TV in the basement.. and it was around 11:30 PM.. and I began to feel very comfortable, to be where I was.. I was quite uncomfortable! I felt like someone had entered the basement with us.. but, yet.. there was no one else.. Besides us, we were alone.. and yet, I felt like me and Anthea were surrounded.. and I felt more like, there were people.. a whole bunch of people.. and I felt like they were all staring me down... I felt like they were all out to get me.. When I'd close my eyes.. I'd swear I could see them! And I started saying to Anthea, "WHY WON'T THEY STOP STARING AT ME! THESE PEOPLE WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!" I was freaking out, and she was like, "Matt, we're alone.. No one's here.. Just us." but I continued to say, "ANTHEA! These people won't stop looking at us.. They won't go away!" and I kept making references to other people in the room.. but there was none, and then Anthea suggested that we go upstairs.. she was up the stairs before I was.. and shut the light off on me for a sec, in which I felt.. totally.. vulnerable and scared...

But, we made it upstairs.. and then I told her, everything I had felt, about the people around us.. and she said to me, that she only felt two presences.. one was the ghost of a man sitting in the corner.. and the other was a ghostly presence walking around us.. and she suggested, that I may have confused them together into thinking, all kinds.. of 'people' were there watching us.. but it was more than just us.. I felt like something.. demonic or satanic was out to get me.. ME! and it was eerie how we were in the living room.. and Anthea would just stare endlessly at the stairs leading to the top floor where all the bedrooms were.. and it was just creepy.. and when Anthea went home.. I just.. I couldn't help but feel there was an almost evil presence in my basement.. and I just felt that whatever it was.. wanted me.. and that it wanted me to go down stairs.. and be alone with it.. and I was scared completely... I mean, my sister went and closed the basement door.. and then went to bed.. because she scared of how I was acting.. and what I told her..

Finally, when I got to speak with Anthea.. she told it wasn't the basement she was worried about, and that she felt more concerned about some kind of sad, and depressed spirit.. was upstairs.. in my hall, or my room.. waiting for ME! She revealed to me why she was staring at the stairs.. that led to the bedrooms, before she left.. that it was because she could feel this spirit at the top of those stairs.. sitting there.. waiting for me... This was over an hour ago.. from now.. when she'd gotten home, and such... and I don't know what to think.. If she's just making it up.. and I was imagining things.. or if this is all real...

....

Wow. I don't know what to say. I'm no skeptic, so I won't tell you it was all just in your head. One thing I will tell you is, I've heard many stories of purported encounters with ghosts and spirits, but I have never heard of anybody who was supposedly killed by ghosts. If such things exist, it seems likely that they are unable to do any physical harm to anybody. It's simply a matter of people having an instincual fear of such things that can cause one to feel unnerved in the presence of them.

I remember on OverClocked Remix's forums there was a topic on ghosts and people were theorizing that ghosts are not the actual souls of the people that have passed on, but very strong emotional imprints left behind. Like if someone went through an agonizing emotional experience, the imprint from that time was left behind as a ghost. It's a very mysterious thing, especially with Anthea's regular encounters with these ghosts. Did you feel anything from your own house before she told you about her encounters?

Interesting. Since I am not one to believe this type of stuff, I don't know what to tell you. But, apparently in my house, everyone in my family has had some kind of "strange" encounter with the supernatural as well.... Except me actually. So again, I don't know what to tell you.

That is great advice Cyndi! That would be the thing I'd probably do.

That is an interesting experience there. I have had moments that I have felt presences, but not as potent as something like that. Or it may not me ghosts, it maybe God trying to talk to you as well. You never know.

I don't wanna bust out the religious ******ry but those are definitely demons playing minds games with you guys. And yes, they can harm you mentally. Alot. Thats what they want to do. If you have the courage use an Ouija board in the basement... you will see that they do exist. Ghosts do not exist, supernatural demons replicating people do. It all sounds nuts, but uh, I've had some Ouija board experiences myself. It is a portal between you and the demon "realm." The Bible warns that you should never mess with demons.

*On second thought, please don't mess around with demons (like using an Ouija board) because it is dangerous.

Mecha-Rodan

Its easy to talk about communicating with them, but this type of thing creates a fear that transcends all others you might have. My old house was possessed, so I know what I am talking about. It is the fear of the unknown. When I used to be alone in my room, I'd feel a presense in the room with me, and I would be so gripped with fear that I couldn't even move. The room would get cold and I'd be holding my breath because I was so terrified. It got so bad that I had to start taking sleeping pills because otherwise I'd spend the whole night scared stiff in my bed, never taking my eyes off of every shadow in the room.

I never really accepted the existence of demons, ghosts, or whatever you want to call them, until I moved out. I was raised in that house, and so I eventually got used to it. After I moved out, however, I started thinking back to what had happened there. Things in the house would be moved even when nobody else was in the room. Occasionally either me, my dad, or my brother would wake up and hear footsteps or screaming coming up the stairs. One time I let my cat in late at night, and she stopped by a hallway and looked down it for a minute as I heard my dad say her name. She slowly moved on, and I walked into the hallway to find that he wasn't there. He had been asleep upstairs the whole time. Another time one of my cousins was over and we were playing with a broken old phone that wasn't connected to anything. My cousin picked up the reciever and heard somebody say "Hello?" She dropped the phone and we never played with it again after that. Family and friends who stayed over would experience incredible fear or sudden uncontrolled anger in our house for no apparent reason, only realizing it after they left.

My personal favorite is one night, when my mother was alone at home, she was in her bed upstairs and heard a steady, rythmatic knocking coming from downstairs. She went down to the front door, but the knocking sounded from upstairs. She slowly walked back up the steps and found that it was coming from inside the wall. My brother was a plumber and regularly checked out the house, and he said that that particular section of wall didn't have any pipes or cords running down it. You could say it was a rat or something of that nature, but rats run up and down walls and make skittering noises. They don't sit in the same place and knock in a pattern. If it means anything, just typing that particular story gives me goosebumps, sends chills down my spine, and makes my eyes water. This kind of fear is not something that you can easily overcome.

I have more horror stories but I've already freaked myself out enough for one night.

Find the Indian Burial Ground! And watch out for trees!

Seriously, I think it was just the power of suggestion playing tricks on you. When I was younger, I thought my house was haunted and I saw what I thought at the time were some pretty weird things. But I don't believe in ghosts. There's never been any conclusive evidence.

Of course, I saw a UFO once, and I never believed it was anything but that -- an unidentified flying object that happened to look like the classic definition of a flying saucer. My friends freaked, though.

Even though they aren't.
Perhaps, but depending on what you believe in, at one time they were. And personally, if they had the possibility of, I dunno...killing me, I'd treat them with the up-most respect.

One thing I will tell you is, I've heard many stories of purported encounters with ghosts and spirits, but I have never heard of anybody who was supposedly killed by ghosts.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but that may not be the case. The case of the Bell Witch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_witch) reportedly ended in the death of one of the spirit's house-mates. On the other hand, it's from Wikipedia, which isn't the most reliable of sources, and even that states the Bell Witch case might be a hoax.

Anyway, EV, this is going to sound silly... but perhaps you should try and contact an exorcist? I mean, if you have a bug infestation you call an exterminator, if you have a ghost infestation...

but your mind may be playing games with you. By any chance, did you have sleep deprivation or something of sort before this night happened? Did your girlfriend?

Honestly, an exorcist is the last thing I would call. Be a man! Get a vacum cleaner and take care of this problem yer'self! Or, do the logical thing and make contact to see if they're real or not..

Yes, Hank, you have full knowledge of all the mysteries of the universe and know exactly what these anomolies are better than the rest of us.........NOT:dozing:

Next time, when getting theological, try putting something like "this is what I believe", rather than presenting it as a proven fact.
lighten up he specifically stated it was a religious comment....which should automatically be a signal to non believers that "this doesnt apply to you"

its obviously a personal belief. take it easy on the kid lol. i understand saying the whole "this is an opinion" thing but at the same time we should be smart enough to recognize them as merely opinions of the person.

and try to remember when it comes to religion many people do not view that as an opinion, they do view it as fact. so like i said if you dont believe then it really doesnt apply to you either way. let him believe what he wants and let Emperor believe what he wants...but im going to guess that he already does have a little belief because he mentioned the words demonic and satanic so he must at the very least have toyed with the idea.

edit: oh and emperor i do believe you and have had similar experiences myself. if you wanna hear pm me...i think youd find them quite interesting

By giving a specific outline of what these beings are and specific instructions of what to do, or rather, not to do with them, it was obviously more than just a "personal belief" that "doesn't apply to others". Notice how he used the word "definetly" when saying they are demons.

EV has obviously gone through something unnerving, and the last thing somebody in that situation needs is somebody trying to present something as a proven fact, that isn't a proven fact, especially when all it's going to do is needlessly make things worse for him. The truth is that none of us truely know what these beings are, or if they are even real to begin with. We can make suggestions and recommendations, but not a single one of us is the wiser of what's really going on, and trying to act like we are is beyond presumptuous.

Not to be too cynical, but wasn't there another topic made once with a similar story? Another ghost thread or something....

But, if not the case, remember: They can't really do anything to you. Unless their poltergiest. In which case, you would already know if they were or not.

Plus: You're alive. There not. You can lord that over them.

im sick of everything having to be spelled out for everyone. not just here but all too often now people have to be so damn careful about what they say or they might "offend" some uptight jackass who feels like making a big deal out of nothing. all in the name of being "politically correct" which is the most ridiculous concept ever...the hypocracy that goes along with those two words is astounding.

im not calling you a jackass zigra nor do i have a problem with you. in fact ive always had much respect. however i think the world as a whole has to stop this. its utterly ridiculous let them believe what they want.

Yeah.. so.. I decided not to read any of the replies to this thread.. out of fear of being... laughed at, or scolded.. or.. flamed.. or anything.. because of my sudden belief that there's ghosts.. or demons in my house.. I just wanted to add... that something really F'ing creepy happened last night... when my girlfriend slept over..

I was almost asleep.. until about between 3:00 AM and 3:03 AM.. when the Hamster, in the room. starting going nuts... I dunno what was going on, but he was making all kinds of noise.. like his body was being thrust around or something.. Then at 3:15 AM.. the creepiest thing ever happened.. the door just randomly, opened a little bit.. Just enough for someone to have a peak into the room... and like, I've went over everything.. there's no logic reason for the door to have opened by itself... So.. I dunno how else to explain it... :(

Like, it wasn't the wind that opened the door... Windows were closed. It wasn't a cat.. because.. well, I've heard/seen the cat.. and it wasn't my mom (the only other person in the house at the time.. because I would've heard her walking around)....

The important thing is, is to never be offended by your beliefs. They are your beliefs, and there will always be people who agree with you. I have had strange things happen to me before, that I can't find facts upon, just speculate. But that does not mean I'm going psycho. Do not let others offend you, your beliefs are your beliefs, and you have just as much of a right to express them as others do. ;)

I'm going to explain my Ouija board experience....
I basically copy and pasted this from TK, but I revised it some because it was sloppily written.

My friend came over to my house and brought along an Ouija board. There was me, and my 3 other friends Chris, Kevin, and Robert. I believe we were in 6th grade. Robert insisted on playing with the Ouija board and so we did. We turned the lights off in the basement and it began. I placed my hand on the dial and Robert attempted to contact a spirit by asking if there were spirits in this room. And I swear to ___, he did. The dial slowly moved (I was NOT moving it!) to "yes". I mean, really, I knew some things about Ouija boards at this time and it always goes to "yes" and "no." It's part of the game. That's normal.

"Are you a good spirit?"
"No"

At this point I had one of my friends hold the dial because I was slightly skeptical, but nervous and slightly scared.

"What is your name?"

The dial shifted to the letters forming "Jamie", according to my friend.
Maybe he was lying (I highly doubt that, considering I saw it with my own eyes), but what happened next scared all of us. A shrill "eeeeee" sound went by us (we all later agreed that there also a slight chill) and the lights turned on all by themselves. We ran back upstairs scared out of our wits. Eventually we got this ordeal off our minds and we fell asleep in the den... only to be awakened by the TV turning on... the channels changing, volume going up and down, etc. The remote was right up there on the TV, not being accidentally pressed as we first thought. I unplugged the damn thing. This was at about 4:00am and we stayed awake waiting for sunrise. That morning my mom asked me if we heard a woman's scream coming from the basement at around 3:00am in the morning. We said no... we were sleeping. My friends left later that day, needless to say.

You don't quite understand what is going here. This has absolutely nothing to do with iffy "personal beliefs". EV is obviously wanting to get down to the bottom of what is really going here, and somebody presenting an unproven belief as a fact isn't going to help him in that regard. "Proven fact" and "belief" are not necissarily one and the same, and the former is what EV needs. I don't want to sound disrespectful of Hank's beliefs, but it would do well for him to realize that his personal beliefs are just that- personal beliefs, and anything he could advise in that regard is just as iffy as anybody else's advice.

That being said, I honestly don't think anybody here can do much about this. Unless somebody here has a tried and true method of dealing with non-coporeal entities, none of us here is really the wiser of what can be done. All we can do is give suggestions, and hope things work out for the best. Right now, EV's story is starting to get a little more unnerving. I would suggest the following things-

- See if you can make some sort of contact with these entities. Find out what they want. Unfortunetly, I don't know anything about how to do this. Try a Ouija board, as Hank's experience seems to indicate that they work. Your girlfriend believes this spirit is more sad than angry or vengeful, so trying to contact it may be the best way to go.

- Never be alone. That doesn't mean you shouldn't spend every minute of the day with somebody else beside you, but somebody should at least be somewhere in the house.

- If you don't have a dog I recommend getting one. From all the stories I've heard, it seems as if dogs, out of all creatures, can not only sense non-coporeal presences, but can even track them to their exact location (almost as if they can actually see it with their own eyes). If something is in the room with you, I'm betting the dog will know it.

- If things get worse, like, say, the entities begin to try and inflict harm on somebody (which I doubt, judging from what Anthea says), I would recommend staying out of the house. I can't say how long you should be gone, but I don't think you'd want to hang around a place that is infested with harmful spirits. If things really get bad, you may even consider moving, and hope these beings stay put and don't follow you.

Good luck.

It might also be wise to suggest finding someone who knows more about this kind of procedure than you do. If you're going to try contacting spirits, it might be a good idea to find someone who has some experience with it.

You might even consider finding and contacting paranormal investigators. I think the TAPS team from the SCI-FI channel's TV show GHOST HUNTERS has a website that you can go to. They seem to be pretty legitimate, so if you're looking for advice you might try finding their website and getting in touch with them.

1) It could have beenthe air pressure in your house changed.
2) Why would ghosts/demons need to use a door? ;)

I had a terrifying experience last night.

It was about 2 in the morning and I'd just shut down my computer after a long bout of writing. Right after I laid down in bed I heard a soft whisper near my window say "don't stop breathing." It's kind of one of those whispers where you can't quite hear it, but you know what was said. I heard that twice and then I felt pressure on my neck as if someone placed their hand there.

Naturally I crossed myself and asked the Lord to please get rid of whatever was in my room. Then I turned my TV on and went to sleep with the sound on low so I couldn't hear the whispers anymore. The feeling of a hand went away when I turned on my side.

SO SCARY!!!!

I once dreamed rather graphically that a man had violated me. When I woke up I found I had started my monthly friend earlier than I thought I would. For a moment I didn't connect why I was bleeding to that, so that was rather terrifying too. Not as scary as last night though, yeow!

A couple weeks ago I woke up at 3am to find a shadowy figure standing in the corner of my room. I felt a pressure come over my entire body and couldn't move anything but my eyes. I watched the figure move toward me. I started to say the Lord's prayer over and over again out loud until the figure finally disappeared. Then, I was able to move and I jumped up and turned on the lamp. The illuminated lamp showed that the figure was gone. It was then that I realized that the lamp had no bulb in it, at which point I woke up. Later that day some friends came over. One of them happens to claim to be somewhat sensitive to the paranormal. I explained what happened and she said she really didn't think it was a paranormal experience. She went into my room to check things out and turned on the lamp. I proceeded to show her that the now illuminated lamp had no bulb and asked her to explain that!?! At this point I woke up for real!! The first part scared the crap out of me while both parts seemed so real!!!! It was like a nightmare trapped in a dream! By the way, the lamp always has had a bulb in it....Weird!!!

The day my grandfather died I saw him. I was dressed to go to the funeral and as I went passed his room, I saw him sitting on his bed dressed in his white shirt and veterans hat as he would when he goes to church with everyone. I immediately went to his room and found just a pile of clothes on the bed.

Weird.

Also for some reason my bed creaks as if someone is sitting on it and no one is in the room with me, and this happens also when I'm sitting at my desk drawing or watching tv it happens.

I've never seen one(Thank goodness, I'd be so paranoid right now) but we've had stories that in one of the Texas Tech college buildings. This guy was trying to cheat on his test, so he went looking for the answers in his teacher's desk. Then one of the custodian ladies walked in, and he killed her. People say that they can hear the rustling of papers and stuff. I have others that I eavesdrop on. So I'll be here. xD

... I had an experience once.. that to this day.. makes me cringe... My eyes still water even at the mere thought of what I had felt.. and what I had seen that night... I'll never forget that night, I was among the notorious ex (thats a different story for a different day)... but I'll never forget it.. alone.. in my basement... just wanting to relax.. and rest.. and just.. get away from it all... and I closed my eyes, and laid my head down.. and then the feeling that people "outside" the house were watching me... accompanied by the overwhelming images of people outside the house.. looking through the walls crept eerily into my mind...

I wasn't very sure what to think.. so I tried to ignore it.. yet.. the feeling that whoever was watching me... was coming closer and closer to the house would not leave me... and soon.. I could as though... there were people all around me.. and when I was laid my head down, and closed my eyes.. the visions of these... cloaked figures... surrounded me in the basement.. just overtake all of my thoughts.. and I jolted up, and began rambling in a panic, "Why are they staring at me?!" Terrified for my life.. for I could feel them.. all around me.. staring deep into my soul... an endless gaze into my spirit....

I was scarred like I'd never known... absolutely terrified.. and fearful of the unseen who were seeing me... Alongside my ex, I ran upstairs... to escape whatever was dwelling in the depths of my basement... and for the rest of the night.. I cried.. and I cried.. and cried.. and cried.. convinced.. that something in my basement.. was staring into my soul.. and that that something.. wanted my.. soul.. forever... and ever....

We just got a house a little over a year ago and a few times when I was in the basement I thought I heard one of my dogs crying upstairs. But ,when I went to check on them, all of them were sleeping. Then, I started to see a glimpse of a dog every once in a while out of the corner of my eye. My dogs don't go in the basement and this dog looked nothing like mine. I told my boyfriend about it but I didn't describe what the dog looked like to him at all. About a week later he was in the basement and saw it too! He described it to me and it was the same dog I had seen! I was also in the basement one night doing laundry when I got tapped on the shoulder. I turned around and no one was there. So, trying to be brave I said," Is that all you can do?" About a minute later I felt a tugging at the bottom of my shirt! I left that basement as quick as I could! I still go in the basemant but I ignore everything now and haven't tried to engage whatever is down there since!

My parents' friends house is haunted by a ghost, and apparently it's a friendly one, or something. I think they call him George. It used to live in Maine or something and haunted a house there. When they moved to New York, it followed them. Every once in a while, from what I understand, the ghost will want attention and flicker the lights, and they'll say "George, cut the crap!" and it'll stop. However, the only ones to actually see this ghost were my parents, who saw it in the middle of the night one time in the older house. From what my mom said, it wore a long nightrobe, like someone in the 18th century wore.

I know that the way I phrased it may make it sound like bull, but it's true, I swear to whatever diety may or may not be up there.
