I'd have to say it's a tie between Anguirus and Ebirah.


Anguirus, beause he definitely looks more saurian this time around, which is a most welcome change. Everything about this new design just screams 'Ankylosaur', especially the spikier carapce and the tail. I like the Ebirah design because it had the biggest improvement over its Showa counterpart. It definitely looks more terrifying and more a giant lobster than a giant shrimp. And those claws look like they mean business, perfect for peeling some Kaiju's skin off. Overall I'd have to say I like the new Ebirah design better, but the Anguirus redesign is not without its merits.

Thats exactly my opininon...! As you can tell by my screename...signature...etc...I love the new angilas design, period! But the Ebirah design is just SUCH a massive and awesome improvement, that I just had to vote for him!

I think it is a tie between Ebirah and Manda. Ebirah is such a massive improvement over his Showa counterpart it isn't even funny, and the same with Manda. Manda looks much more like what a sea serpent should really resemble. If I had to choose one though... I'd have to say Manda.

All though it was basically a tie between Anguirus, Ebirah, Manda, Hedorah, King Caesar, Rodan, and Gigan I eventually picked Ang unlike the kaneko concept it hugs closely to the original design while improving on it

personally i dont see what the big deal is about ebirah...to me hes still a giant lobster hes just red now. he doesnt look menacing he looks like a lobster whos faces are pretty expressionless. and his claws look no different than a normal lobster. i wish i saw what everyone else did. what i DO see is something id like to eat with a side of melted butter. dont take offense to this its only my opinion.

but the best makeover? it came down to three:gigan, anguirus and manda. anguirus kept most of his features compared to the other two so i ruled him out. gigan looked kool to begin with so i gave it to manda who looked kinda stupid in the showa era but looks totally awesome now!

I went with Gigan. He looks much sleeker, and I can belive he would cut another Kaiju's heart out and show it to him.

I voted for Ebirah. I love the new Gigan design, but the Showa version wasn't that bad to begin with. Anguirus looks close to the Showa design, it just has more spikes and looks closer to the dinosaurs he was based on. The Manda look is okay, I just think it makes him look more like a sea snake than an actual dragon, IMO. But the Ebirah design blows the Showa out of the water. It looks bulkier, stronger, and much meaner. It is a great improvment.

I'd have to say either Ebirah, Minya, or Gigan.

Minya because they improved on his look(He no longer looks like a big blob of fat, he looks more saurian) but they still kept his overall character.

Ebirah and Gigan just look soo much more deadly than they did in the Showa series, their redoes should make quite a hit in the next DD, both look like they could take out a lot of their former comrades(aka the Showa weaklings)

I voted for Gigan, he's going to kick some serious arse in this film. Or at least he better. I hope to see him and Hedorah doubleteam Godzilla in one of the greatest kaiju battles ever. I'm also extremely fond of Ebirah's reworking, however.

I'de still have to say Gigan. I can see why the posted his design first though, to get you excited about the other kaiju's designs which are also good. After Gigan, I would have to say Angilas, Manda, King Seesar and Ebirah.

I think monster X looks best, sure a lot of the others looked cool, but he looks coolest. Ihate that new Gigan design, i mean i like his knives, but other then that he looks dumb.

Gigan and Ebirah got the bigger face-lifts in my opinion. Both have such awesome designs that I really can't decide between the two. Although Ebirah needed a newer design more-so than Gigan so I would have to go with Ebirah.

I'd have to say Anguirus. While very close to the original design, this new one makes him look much more realistic. Only problem is to see if the pose in the artwork can really be brought to life that way on screen. The thing about Anguirus is that this new design is almost exactly what I was hoping for (see my avatar). Next would probably be Gigan. Even though I prefer the showa design, the new Gigan is still a welcome site. I especially like those new claws, much more blade-like than before. Lastly would probably be Hedorah. Very close to the original, but the white eyes set it apart. Not to mention that he looks alot less plastic, and much more sludge-like, than the original. That painting gives me the impression that his make-up will be much more liquid-like than before, hopefully very similar to how he was portrayed in Godzilla at World's End.

Anguirus, Kamacuras, Ebirah, and Manda all come in a close tie with me. I'd have to go with Anguirus as my favorite though. His design is simply awesome!

I'm not sure if I can ick; they all look awesome! I guess my favorites are Gigan, Ebirah, and Manda. They're some of the best old-new kaiju designs of all time. I can't wait to see them in the film.

BTW, Ebirah has never been one of my favorite monsters, but I believe I will come to like him alot more if his new design is used and executed very well. and who can not look forward to seeing the first ever 6" Bandai figure of Ebirah, too?

Too bad it does not seem Kamacuras is getting any votes on this, but frankly, I think his new design is spectacular!

Now that all the GFW Kaiju have been revealed, I guess it's only a matter of time when Toho unveils the newest Godzilla design, too. So far there seems to be a very strong Showa influence as to the redesigns, it would be interesting to see what this new Godzilla would look like. Hopefully the redesign would be just as good as some of the improvements we've seen so far. Oh, and I forgot to mention Manda in my list of favorites. He/She definitely looks more like a dragon this time around, which is a nice development.

WOW. The new kaiju look AWESOME. Massive improvements all around. Unbelievable. Kamacuras, Anguirus, Hedorah, Ebirah, Manda and Rodan all look fantastic. It was really hard for me to make up my mind. In the end, I chose Ebirah. As has been said before, the new design blows the Showa one completely out of the water. Anguirus would probably be my second choice.

Bandai is already in the process of designing prototypes of the figures to be made. I can't wait to get the first Bandai Ebirah, Kumonga, and Manda figure ever made!

Does anyone now if they are 6" figures or 9" figures?

Well, I voted For Anguirus, I think his new design is awsome, a lot like an Ankylosaurus, and I like his new tail and shell as well, plus he seems to have armor and spikes on his arms, legs and neck as well. I love the way his neck looks.
Now, while Anguirus is my favorite of the New Designs, I think it is Ebirah who is the most improved looking. His face is especially crustacian looking, and this massive lobster is finally interesting looking, and looks a lot more imposing then the Showra version, though its probably not strong enough to put up much of a fight against most of the other Final Wars Kaiju.

Manda, Gigan, Hedorah, Rodan and King Seesar are also quite interesting looking. Manda looks quite neat as a true sea dragon. Gigan looks posativly awsome, with its awsome claws with the 2 spikes at its base. Hedorah looks posativly gruesome (and I mean that in a good way) with its sludge-like body and its evil eyes. Rodan is pretty neat looking. Nothing of too great an improvment, but nice enough looking, I really like the armor it has on the front of its body, that looks quite neat, and I like its new Tail too.
King Seesar is also quite interesting, I like its new armor as well, and its face looks quite neat as well.

im not impressed with the big bugs/lobster but at least they dont look worse than their showa counterparts. thats my take on them now
