Did Gamera films ever win an award?

As with my question regarding Godzilla movies, so it is with Gamera. Which of his films made the most yen? And which, if any, won awards? I'm asuming G3 got something, as a preview bousted that the film would 'go in history of Japanese SFX'.

For GAMERA GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE, Kaneko won "1995 Best Director Award" at the Yokohama Film Festival and the Blue Ribbon Director Award. GAMERA 2 won "Japanese Best Science Fiction Award" from (I believe) the acclaimed film magazine Kinema Jumpo.

I remember hearing that G3 one some sort of SPFX award, but I don't remember the specifics.
