The premise of this movie is that a man from an eastern country (I forget the name of the country and the man is played by Tom Hanks) comes to America. But when he does, a war breaks out in his country and he is not allowed to step foot in the United States. Not being able to go back (either because of the war or not having enough money) he must spend his time in the airport terminal and he falls in love with a stewardress. The movie is directed by Steven Spielburg and incase you are wondering, the set was constructed in a 747 hanger, it's that big (Speilburg wanted it to be like an actual airport terminal).
So, what does everyone think of this movie? Will it be good, or horrible?

Couldn't they have just filmed it in an air port terminal instead of building one?

Well, since the set was pretty large, then they would have to commandeer a preety large terminal. Doing that would interupt the buisness day, and people would probably interfere with the filming. plus it would be so loud that getting the sound right would be difficult. So building an artificial terminal seemed like the only logical choice.

Actually he leaves his country because of the war and when he gets there the war makes his country no longer exist.

I'm going to see it. It looks good. It'll give me something to watch, and it doesn't look too bad at all.

PS, when you watch the movie, he explaines why he came to america, and it wasn't cause of the war.
