Easy enough to fix on this new set-up. In the past, a new account had to be created. G1954 happened to do that in June 2004. It's no longer necessary to do so much manually, either by members or staff so duplicate accounts are no longer needed to affect a name change.
BTW, if anyone has an account they were unable to get to work on this new forum, let us know and we'll make any adjustments. There are a TON of folks who never found their way here after the changeover, it seems... :confused:

I've been wanting to find an excuse to post in this thread and thanks to the United Way folks on the other side of the state and Wal-Mart, we'll be getting a much-needed resource about five years faster than I ever imagined! :D

Speaking of which, prior to a celebratory meet-up with some cohorts, I've had the exciting pleasure of staking out a domain on the WWW. It's a public service thing for the area where I live but FRANCHISING the concept did get mentioned. :laugh:

Hey, no one's had anything to celebrate SINCE WHEN???? :O

My town finally did National Night Out last Tuesday.

We've been wanting to do it for SEVERAL YEARS and finally pulled it off, including a real coup for my area.

It's a big municipal election year for us and the top candidate running for my ward managed to put together a terrific evening for the kids. He's one amazing organizer (compared to the duds we had in the past :angry: ) considering the short notice we had. Key PD officers went out of their way on their own time to really bring things together, along with a particularly community oriented church where we set up, complete with inflatibles, free food - the works!

To top it off, we'll now have a sub-station/community center by the area park, compliments of the Housing Authority. It will provide a much needed local meeting facility too. Folks have already come forward to help get it set up so the future is looking pretty bright in my part of town. :D
