Gappa's going down.

By the by, Raptor, Gappa stats are on this site... why isn't his name linked?

Winner: Gappa

All Gappa would have to do is stay in the area and blast King Ceesar from behind with his fire ray, which I doubt Ceesar could safely reflect without getting his facial fur singed.

Again with the "fur burns" schtick...

Mechagodzilla certainly didn't set Seesar ablaze. I sincerely doubt Gappa is capable of it.

Mechagodzilla's weaponry that he used against Ceesar isn't solely made to start things on fire. Just because missiles don't start something on fire, doesn't mean a blast of pure fire won't.

Considering the heat those eye-beams clearly generate, to say nothing of the flaming craters the missiles tended to leave, I'd say that Seesar won't be bursting into flame any time soon. Also, Gappa's no tactical genius. He's not as bad as, say, Megalon, but he's hardly a master tactician.

King Seesar wins. Gappa is a horrendously weak creature, and he is certainly no wiz kid, either. King Seesar may be land-bound, but the way I see it, Gappa's beams will hardly put a dent on our lion god, who will pummel Gappa to death.

Peace,

Melkor

Wow, my second tie vote already. Since Seesar isn't going to be reflecting that beam (I find it VERY doubtful) then it turns into a good tooth-and-clawer against a kaiju average in power and above-average in versatility. Flight and a Godzilla-esque beam aren't nothing to sneeze at.

I'll never see Gappa as weak, so I think he has a chance here...

In close combat Seesar will pound Gappa, but the birdy-lizard here has the flight which he can use to just fly around Seesar and blast him with his beam. Truly, I don't know if that would do it though...

Abstain.

Hmmm. Now here is a hard one.

Gappa has his flight and might attack from the sky with his beam, but Seesar has been proven to be quite resistant against these forms of attacks. Mechagodzilla assault anyone? Godzilla even caught on fire but Seesar did not. Besides, eventually Seesar will reflect that at Gappa which will take Gappa down from the sky. Then Seesar could move in for the kill....

King Seesar wins.

King Seesar. I believe that it was stated on one thread that King Seesar is able to draw in beam attacks to the eyes (I mena, he sorta has too. How many shots do you think are aimed directly at the eyes?). This mean Seesar can hit Gappa with his beam if Gappa uses it. And it turns to HtH, King Seesar will easily beat down the tri-phibian monster.

King Seesar is not going to be set on fire anytime soon. The fight would go into hand to hand combat. King Seesar would pound on Gappa.

I'm voting King Seesar. Gappa's beam is too weak, so King Seesar doesn't need to reflect the beam. King Seesar is just going to RIP Gappa apart with his hands.

Just because it's stated doesn't make it true. If you have seen GvsMG '74 in widescreen, you'd know that at one point in the battle (when MG has his head turned all the way around) he strikes KS in the HEAD with his lasers and connects. KS goes down.

KS has good reflexes, but his success rate is maybe 75% against a beam that IS around the same diameter as his eyes. It would not work at all if the beam was too big. That's why Gappa can hit him, and that's why it is BS that he beat GMK Godzilla last year.

I agree with what Showa Goji said. Gappa is underrated. While his HTH combat is weak compared to Seesar's, his ray will do damage to him. Plus, it's something that Seesar cannot reflect back. Gappa also can fly which will help him get some good shots at Seesar. The battle will be tough and close. But with the ray and flight, Gappa has the upper hand and I see him winning the match.

I agree with Ang here. Seesar's ability to "draw beams" and reflect them is limited to some extent.

Gappa doesn't fight as well without its mate, so I give it to King Seesar.

King seesar will pound Gappa. In close combat he will get pounded. And king seesar eye beams are pretty good

Missed that one! Guess I should have gone straight to the ALPHA list. The link has been added in the establishing post but here are GAPPA (http://www.kaijuphile.com/rodansroost/kaijustats/gappa.shtml) stats.

Fair enough, but neither did King Seesar really. He's not a bad fighter, but I'm just surprised that he's leading by nine...

Hmm, it's not known what skills Gappa would employ in a fight other than his breath attack. S/He certainly has the advantage of flight and their power seem to increase somewhat when they get angry (eyes turn red).

Seesar is up against a foe who can fly and possesses a beam which can't be reflected. However, as Gappas appear to be docile creatures (until provoked), they probably don't possess any fierce combat skills other than the beam. They're probably more defensive than offensive fighters.

If Seesar gets his hand on Gappa, he could take it. Also, I'm not sure how resistant Seesar's skin/fur is to a focused heat attack (we know he doesn't like missiles), but I gather it would give him pause.

I'd like to think Gappa has the upper hand in this fight, but we really don't know how much damage it would do to a living opponent (especially one as relentless and skilled at HtH as Seesar), so I have to go with King Seesar by default.
