George A. Romero's Living Dead Series is my favorite movie series besides Godzilla. And so I got to thinking hey why not make a poll. So what's you guy's favorite Living Dead Movie? Mine is the original Night of the Living Dead.

My personal favorite from that list is the original 'Dawn of the Dead', although I also like 'Night of the Living Dead'. And yes, the Living Dead movies are fantastic, definitely my favorite films when it comes to zombies. :thumbs-up:

Dawn of the Dead, the only non horror film in the trilogy as Romero made it more of a dark comedy/social commentary than anything else. Great film though.

I would say it is a tie between NOTLD and DOTLD for obvious reasons. They were both fantastic on different scales. NOTLD was a straight out creepy horror flick while DOTLD was more of a psychological end of the world sort of flick. Both these movies are some of my favorites

Well, I would say the BEST Living Dead movie would be the original.

But my FAVORITE Living Dead movie is Day of the Dead.

The Original B&W Night of the Living Dead STILL gives me the creeps...

Same here. The stark photography, the claustrophobic sets, the bleak tone... brrrrr.

I love every one of these films and it's really hard for me to pick a favorite, but the one I have probably watched the most is the original Dawn of the Dead.

Thee DAWN OF THE DEAD remake, along with THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. And I know they rub some fans of the source material a bit the wrong way, but I rather enjoy the RESIDENT EVIL flicks.

Also, here's an interesting short from the late eighties that caused a bit of a rukus when it premiered. http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/43422/wtf-friday-video-week-attack-masturbating-zombies

Wow, that SNL skit pretty much embodies why that show needs to be axed - it has nothing to do with vulgarity or crudity and everything to do with being stupid and unfunny. Compare that to just about any skit from the 70's and you instantly see what I mean. Hell, even 'The Thing That Wouldn't Leave' was funnier than this crap. If I was a sponsor, I'd pull out too. Slap-*** scripts shouldn't get any support. Certainly not Conan O'Brien's best moment and a positive embarassment for every actor in the garbage.

I remember when that sketch still aired back in the day. It aired in the last half hour of the program, traditionally known as the "garbage schow" portion of the show according to Hershel Krustafski. Despite the claims of the article's scribe it was run again with the rebroadcast, but switched around earlier in the program. And the Monday afterwards, my friends and I were yucking it up about the Zombies punchin' the munchkin. :D However, it hasn't aged well since 1990. But I think the show has gone down hill, and has yet to get out of the ditch it's got itself stuck in. Although when I've caught bits of it, there's some good jokes there. But still hasn't been able to hold a candle to some of the material I grew up with. To tell the truth, that's been since 1993. The only reason I could see SNL being kept on, is that NBC doesn't have anything else to fill the slot with. The other, the show is such an institution onto itself, there would be such a blowback against the network for canning it.

MASH, Seinfeld, and Friends were institutions. They still got the plug pulled. Eventually. I put it down to pure network laziness.

Speaking of the Living Dead movies (which, properly would be the three Romero films, the drivel he's done since, the remakes and the Italian knock-offs... er 'unofficial sequels' rather than the RotLD series) you might head over to the Home Page of the Dead, which I believe still has the absolutely kick-*** original script for 'Day of the Dead' which has a very cool last days of Rome feeling to it and is vastly different from the movie we got.
