Gyaos (http://www.kaijuphile.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3552) (Heisei) (15-24) was his first victim when he entered the competition in Round Two.
Zigra (http://www.kaijuphile.com/rodansroost/kaijustats/zigra.shtml) has eliminated fellow Daiei kaiju Guiron (http://www.kaijuphile.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3688) (25.5-14.5) and Space Gyaos (http://www.kaijuphile.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3555) (18-17) from the SSS competition as well as Kamacuras (http://www.kaijuphile.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3368) (2-19).

Zigra's ray took five or six blasts to faze Gamera, by the time Zigra fires once, Godzilla is gonna be all over him.

Goji isn't exactly Mister Speedy, either physically or mentally. Zigra's beam staggered Gamera from the first shot (Gamera never took another action in that fight). Zigra wins.

Unless Heisei Godzilla somehow had his thighs slimmed, there's no way that he can defeat Zigra, whose stun ray works like a charm in this battle. Since Heisei Goji is paralyzed by Zigra's ray, then Zigra automatically wins.

Ah, two of my favorite monsters at once. Unfortunetly for Big G, Zigra is going to go for his beam first on land, pretty much taking G down automatically.

In the water, this would be a different fight. Zigra seems to hesitate to use his beam in the water, prefering to use his razor fins. Well, with G's regenerative powers, those fins wouldn't do much good, and Godzilla would get plenty of opportunities to strike at the space shark.

However, since I'm left to assume that this battle takes place on land, I have to go with my namesake on this one....again.

Is there any explanation as to why Zigra's beam didn't affect Gamera underwater? He fired it twce, one striking Gamera in the face, the other his shell. No immobility.

It hasn't been established in which environment they're fighting, and it could make all the difference.

Of course because I said that, the automatic answer is "LAND!"

I'm still curious as to that little phenomenon...

^ Uhm, maybe because land is a nice "default" setting? Most kaiju are at a ditinct disadvantage underwater.

And for the record, Zigra must not be that bright, because I only recall him using the beam once underwater. Against four puny humans who turned up their lights.

I cannot recall that he ever used the paralysis beam against Gamera underwater. His ship's cannon, yes, but not his ALLMIGHTY RAY OF AUTOMATIC KO

I think Pulgasari can beat him, but it's doubtful he'll survive his fight with Godzilla.

Godzilla wins because it takes a few blasts for Zigra to immobilize his opponent. While this Godzilla may not be as bright as some other Godzilla's he isn't the dumbest one. Zigra, when compared with Godzilla, seems to have fewer brains than a rock. In the end, the ray having to take multiple shots to completely immobilize Godzilla and Zigra not being as smart as this Godzilla makes Godzilla the victor.

Read Cole's post again, Kent. The beam was already quickly taking Gamera down with the first hit. Zigra was probably only hitting him repeatedly just for the sake of cruelty.

I see nothing wrong with newer members participating in our older topics. This is also one of the closer match-ups. Actually, maybe Zigra should be considered one of the more under-rated kaiju, eh? ;)
Where we are having problems around here is with the CONTENT of posts, I would think. Mega better be able to back up what he has posted if he expects to be a credible participant in these battles. Sometimes, "short and sweet" isn't sufficient if the statement might be open to debate.
Wanting clarification isn't "picking" on anyone; most often simply trying to figure out how they arrived at their conclusion (or what they're trying to say in the first place).
