If I've said it once, I've said it one thousand times... shouldn't this be in *in sert name of whatever forum various topic(s) belongs in*?

Please take note of the different forums we have. This sort of topic rightfully belongs to Movie Chat, and NOT General Chat.
Back on topic: Some of the fakest stuff I've seen in the movies have to do with special effects. Most Sc-Fi originals suffer from this, but even 'big budget' movies have the same case. I just saw the trailer for 'A Sound of Thunder', and I can definitely say, that film has the worst, most pathetic CGI T. rex I've seen yet. It's just disgusting.

The end battle in 'King Arthur' comes to mind.
Or just about anything in the Star Wars prequels.

Where is that? I'm disappointed but hardly surprised.

Effects? The bird in Ebirah, horror of the deep and Godzilla's revenge.

Yeah, the Sound of Thunder trailer was TERRIBLE. but the fakest thing in that whole thing was Ben Kingsley hair... also the most frightening.
Other things, The Mummy Returns, Van Helsing, Stephen Sommer's next film (just to get it out of the way).

The Dawn of the Dead zombies. Their blood was all orange and you could tell it was paint.
Yongarry 2000, that's just got horrible CGI written all over it.
Will think of more in time.

Umm, just about every movie I've seen with CGI in it looked horribly fake except for the Lord of the Rings movies. I always have preferred Stop Motion and such to CGI. ..

Yongarry 2000. i'm positive that was a cartoon
there was also a movie with a few giant amphibious monsters, cant remember the name, but the scene where one of them eats a human is hilariously fake.

Every single bit of Catwomen. As for A Sound of Thunder, I could barely even see the damn thing. Let alone the quality of the CGI. Is there any way to get a bigger trailer, I can't see a single damn thing.

The fakest thing that comes to mind would have to be the large model spiders from the horrible 70s movie "Giant Spider Invasion". I'm sure I've seen worse, considering all the B movies I've seen in my life, but that's what comes to mind.

hmmm...in terms of fakeness in its day and age...I would defenetly go with the Astronaut scene in G vs SpaceG. Im not a huge classic horror film fan (Im quite picky with my sci-fi, and happen to be a modern-day effects junkie) so this one is defenetly on the top of my list.

I'm sure I've seen worse, considering all the B movies I've seen in my life, but that's what comes to mind.Hahahah! You just reminded me of the MST3K episode they showed that in! Every time the damn thing was onscreen they'd make all these motor sounds!
For one, I nominate the infamous dolls from Konga. You know, the ones with the heads almost as big as the entire actors/actresses they "represented"? Then there are roughly any of the CGI scenes SciFi uses in their more recent blunders ("Black Mask 2" really comes to mind here).
And another example, though I hate to say this (and I really, really, really do)... *Gulp* Here goes... The Alien Queen prop from Aliens. *Braces for brutal and grizzly retribution* Now hear me out on this, it wasn't the entire performance or anything, as it looked quite good for the most part. Only one particular part justifies me listing it here, and that being the scene(s) of it running down the corridors (you guys must know what I'm talking about, right?). It just looked so... silly. Maybe if they handn't made the limbs so damn thin and lanky...

^Compared to the effects now its bad but then it was great, on par with ROTK in a way.

^Compared to the effects now its bad but then it was great, on par with ROTK in a way.I know the rest of the SPFX were good back then, and I already said the Queen prop was flawless in the rest of the scenes, but what I mean is that she looked a litttle akward in those running scenes, even for the time it was shown.

Yeah it did look a little odd to have these little legs pulling her down the hall but the movie as a whole makes up for that. Its the best Alien movie so far.

And I actually prefer the first movie, go fig...;)

Yeah, I know the scene you're talking about. Proof that no movie is 100% perfect ("Aliens" happens to be my favorite American-made monster movie, even above King Kong '33).

There's a part in Frogs, where the forest is like attacking this lady, and her yells are pathetic, bad acting count as fake?
