I saw this movie when I was like five, so just about everything is a blur of it. I know the story, but not the complete thing. I really wanna find out more about the creature, especially its name, anyway, here is the only pic I have of it, thanks goes out to Earth Baragon for getting the pic.

The story begins in an underwater facility, roughly two miles beneath the ocean. Not far from the facility, and the small crew operating it, a monstrous crab-like creature resides undisturbed in its cave, but when some missels from the facility are unintentionally launched into the ocean and detonated, the angry creature is forced from its home and is out for blood! Needless to say chaos follows, and the creature eventually finds its way into the very facility responsible for the launch!
I dont think the monster had an official name besides..."that thing".

Eh... I preferred that Leviathan (starring the man who played Robocop) movie to this. The similarities are almost mistifying.

^ Most "underwater teams run afoul of bad stuff" are ptretty formulaic.

Although in the case of Leviathan and Deep Star Six, the similarities are downright terrifying.

Yeah... that's true. But to me.... Leviathan just comes across as a much more better example of the two, not to mention of the formula itself. Mainly cause the main monster antagonist in Leviathan is much more spookier and nastier than in DS6.

Well, I havn't seem DSS in a while. But I know Leviathan and Depladon (my own name for the DSS critter) look very differnt. Heres the Leviathan creature.
