I finally got the new vids working and I am more than impressed.

Jet Jaguar looks amazing. His beam is great looking. But his size changing abilities are what really stand out. Simply ingenious. Fast when small, powerful when large. AWESOME!!

From the Jet Jaguar article:

Whereas the original Godzilla required you to finish adventure mode with the available monsters to unlock the extra ones, Godzilla: Save the Earth will merely require you to use points you earn in the action mode to access Jet.
I'm assuming this goes for all of the unlockable kaiju. I like this way of unlocking items much more than GDAMM's. Reminds me of WOTM's token system...

Jet will also be able to grow bigger and smaller, which affects his performance during a fight. Jet's small form will let him move fast, but he won't be too powerful, while his large form will give him strength at the cost of speed.
I think this is about as close as we are going to get to seeing Ultraman Tiga duke it out with any Toho kaiju. lol.

I did, and I agree with them. I hate Jet Jaguar, I always have, always will. So what if he looks cool in the game (whihc I don't htink he does) I would rather have Biollante, Battra, or Kumonga then him.

That doesn't really make sense. How will motion change the basic shape, texture, and color of G's spines? From what I've seen, Pipeworks has gone a little bump-mapping crazy as well. Those don't look anything like Heisei Godzilla's spikes...

Hate Jet Jaguar because, number one, its an extremely lame concept. Number two, yes his movie sucked. What's wrong with hating him for that? Godzilla vs Megalon was crud. And he was in it. Therefore, he contributed to it being crud.

Am I the only one who saw the WTC towers in JJ footage included in the Kirby Fong interview? Watch for the scene when Jet throws Godzilla extremely high in the air. Look at the buildings behind Godzilla. He even reaches their height in the air, in fact. Those look awfully like the twin towers...

He is larger than most kaiju in those screenshots because he is in his larger form during many of them.

In the fight with Megalon, Jet Jaguar starts off a normal height and eventually shrinks to small size. During a clip played during the Kirby Fong interview, Jet Jaguar starts off fighting Godzilla at normal height and eventually grows to large height.

I guess it really all comes down to whether your a "Godzilla fan" or a "Kaiju fan". A Godzilla fan loves giant monster movies (Godzilla, Gamera, etc.). A Kaiju fan loves all things kaiju related (Godzilla, Ultraman, etc.). Generally, Kaiju fans, like myself, like Jet Jaguar because he is the Ultraman of the Godzilla universe, and Godzilla fans don't like him because they are not fond of Ultraman. There are exceptions to the rule, but that's how it often goes. So, I can see why some may not like Jet Jaguar.

Heh, I'm a monster fan in general, I like monsters of all shapes and sizes, only a few I don't like. Thats why I tend to stick up for Gino, Dinocroc, Python, Boa, etc

Say what some of you will, but I'm even more stoked than I ever was before about this game after finally seeing JJ in action. He looks AWESOME!

I hate to say it, I really do, but with the GFW stills and such an excellent new character, along with everything else in here, I can live without Biollante.

The vids and seeing what JJ can do has heightened my liking for Jet Jaguar. Wow.

I think what I'm looking forward to the most is trying out Jet Jaguar. I mean, he can do an Ultraman Tiga (change his sizes to gain more speed or more strength), has a killer looking hand beam, and looks like he'll be excellent with hand-to-hand combat.
