Hey guys. I've only seen a handful of Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad *phew* kaiju before, but no longer have the pics and can't find them either. I'm desperate to find as many pictures as I can. I'd appreciate pictures of any of the monsters, whether the pictures be from the show, movie or even the coloring books.

Sorry to say that the handful of SHSCS pics that you saw are the only ones that exists.

Well, I have Gridman on VSH, but no capture card.

That't too bad, since you guys are missing out some cool looking kaiju.

<font color='#008080'>Here's a link to a SHSSS fan site. They have a few monster pics, but not very many.

LINK (http://minos.esmartkid.com/shsss/)

Man I loved this show. It was quite a refreshing departure from the Power Ranger. At least in this show the monsters, with a few exceptions, didn't look stupid and couldn't talk. I hav a few of the action figures still around. Hell I even have a calender wich I might be able to upload some pics from. Most the monsters were really cool. I especially liked Hock, in both his normal and cyborg versions. Here are as many of the names I can remember.

Lets see here there was...

Krono
Cathod
Skorn
Kord
Nexor
Sybo
Troid
Manfu
Reyhdon (actually called Trembulor in the show)
Blink
Cronick
Hock
Plexton
Gramm

thats all I can think of.
also go to ebay or an online store. You might be able to find some action figure pics.

To quote SNL's horny and twisted version of Sean Connery on Jeopardy when the subject of famous mothers were brought up... "my time has come!"

I have yet to see an episode of the original Gridman, but during its syndicated run, I caught quite a bit of the Us version. Late last year I went through those tapes again and edited them down to just the fight scenes featuring the Mega Virus Monsters, who I feel are some of the best looking kaiju Japan has to offer, mixing Heisei Godzilla menace with fanciful Power Ranger type lunacy. I quite proud of these compilation tapes, and feature many favorites. I've also gathered the US and Japanese names and first appearances for all the Mega Virus Monsters if anyone cares to see them?

Its a Tsuburaya produced show. Thats why the monsters are as impressive as they are. Much better than alot of Toei's creatures. Hock might be my all-time favorite kaiju, second only to Gigan of course.

Is it true that they based one of the monsers on Bagan?

Kaiju_Sensai

^You're probably thinking of Kilazee/Shiralee from Ultraman: Towards the Future. He was based on one of the unused Bagan art concepts.

ReaperGoji777 if you mean the American version, then I come across VHS here & there. Ebay has some once in a while. Though hopefully the will release the whole series here on DVD sometime soon. Kinda mad now that I never recorded it.

Of course for the uninitiated the ones in my signature are Plexton (red) & his sister Gramm (blue).

That is totally correct, but the same is also true for Hock / Bagira who too is based on an unused Bagan design. Its also wroth noting that Kilazee was also similar to Bagan in character and concept as him and the hefty turtle-like sea monster Kudara were guardian beasts of the Earth who were summoned by the planet itself to wipe out the cancer plaguing it, i.e. humans.

Now that you mention it, the similarity between Hock & Bagan has become much more apparent. No wonder Hock is so damn cool.

I remember the American show, Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad. In it (the American version at least) we see a group of teens. The leader is an easy going guy who loves to play his guitar. There's one big jock, brainy girl, and a geek. (As I recall the geek had two actors.) They are an ordinary buch at an ordiany school but there is trouble.

In the digital world is an evil computer virus who has made a pact with someone from our world. The evil hacker makes the monster, the virus brings them to life. However, Servo is always there to go to the rescue. I saw it on the channel now called the WB on saturdays, it was fun.

However, I always thought it was American. The one thing that struck me was that in one episode we see Japanese people running for their lives when one monster threatens to escape. I thought, why is it Japanese people? Now we know!

Internet Movie Database has a section. Its here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108944/

PS I recall having magazine with an article on it. I'll see if I still have it. G'day!:)

To anyone that may be wondering, I believe used vhs tapes can be found of the show on Amazon. I can't remember how much they cost, but the cartoon company DIC released three tapes with two episodes a piece on them.

The first tape was called "To Servo and Protect" and featured the monsters Chidogeraa; Chidogellar; 'Skeleton Monster', who looks like a skeletal demon posessed showa Goji! And a monster whose name I can't remember that was quadreped and had somekind of lens in his face.

The second tape was called a Scorn in their side and featured two of Scorn's(Shinobiler) appearances who kinda looks like a samurai/ninja warrior. The fights featuring Scorn are a joy to behold and feature fight choreography just as good IMO as anything I have ever seen in a martial arts film of any kind, they rock! Plain and simple!

The third and final tape was titled The Glitch that stole Christmas and was ofcourse a holiday special. It featued the spunky but ridiculous looking twin tailed smog monster called Venora; Benora who kinda looks like a finless version of Titanosaurus and also had what was originally the series finale in the japanese version. The final showdown between Servo(Gridman) and Kilokhan(Gigantic Kahndegifur)!

If you have never seen this show I'm telling you now you don't know what you're missing! And I would suggest going to Amazon and finding these with all due haste! The show is definetly worth it just for the kaiju and fights alone.

Skeleton Monster' is named Chidogellar and the siblings Gramm and Plexton were the more cooler of the lot. As much as I enjoy and support the "Gridman" monsters, I will admit the US version of the show was too campy for anyone's taste (though we should be grateful most of the monsters remained mute in it) and I have yet to see any episodes of the Japanese original.

God.

I LOVED that show. Every morning, I'd wake up, run out to the living room, and watch it before school. I had SO many toys from SHSCS!! I definitely remember a Hock toy, plus a few other kaiju. Then there was the awesome toys of the main hero (forget his name), and all of the transformable armor/vehicles, etc. you could attatch to him. Plus that one dragon robot.

Too awesome.

I need to bittorrent the episodes. lol

Not another version, but another Gridman.

I am think his name is Sigman or something along those lines. He was suppose the lead in the follow-up series, but it never left the ground. There really isn't much information floating around that could give us any hard facts on the series itself. so we are really left with just a picture of what could have been. Though, it's one of the biggest shames that another series was never produced.

I am sure the biggest reason that another Gridman series was produced was because Tsuburaya went on to picked their Ultraman series back up as their love child.
