One of the main lures to Power Rangers is the zords or giant robots. As many of us know, these mighty machines can combine to make even greater robots. Which one do you like best?

My favorite zord was Jason's Tyrannosaurus Dinozord from MMPR season one. Not only was the dinosaur it was based on my favorite and not only was Jason cool, the zord itself was a marvelous combatant.
Almost tying with it would be its upgraded Tyrannosaurus Red Dragon Thunder Zord. Its serpentine coils and beautiful shape just speak to me.

My favorite Megazord is the orginal. Its design was excellent and the transformation was wonderful. And qutie simply, its the British Navy of Zords, in that nobody messes with it. It took two monsters, a giant Green Ranger and Rita cutting off its supply of solar power for it to finally be defeated.
Tying with it is the current Dino Megazord. While only made up of three zords, it has the power to combine with several lesser zords to make variants. It needs punching power? It combines with the Pacycephalozord. It needs a buzzsaw? It combines with Dimetrozord.

What's your choice?

Dragonzord. It's just a very well designed, formidable and regal looking battle machine, and it has the drill tail & flashing lights. It also gets summoned by a very nice tune on the Dragon Dagger.

What's your choice?Erm, is this for Sentia, or Power Rangers, becuase Sentia started in Japan in the early sixies with no Zords.

This is the reason I'm so into the Super Sentai/Power Rangers series is the robots. However, I normally use the Sentai names when referring to the robots.

I can't pick just one, so where should I begin?

Liveman- Had the Liverobo: combo of a Falcon for the head and back, lion for the torso and arms, and dolphin for the legs. Later came bison and rhino robot/vehicle things that made their own mecha (Liveboxer). Both the Liverobo and the Liveboxer could combine to make the Super Liverobo.

Zyuranger (our Power Rangers season 1)- Had the Daizyujin (Megazord), which was cool, and could combine with Dragon Caesar (Dragonzord) and King Brachion (Titanus). The result was awesome (Kyuukyoku Daizyujin/Ultrazord) The Dragon could also form with the Mastodon, Triceratops, and Sabertoothed Tiger to form its own thing, which was cool.

Dairanger (our Power Rangers season 2)- I liked the Dairenou (Thunder Megazord), and the Won Tiger (Tigerzord). The Kiba Daiou (Mega Tigerzord) was OK. I really didn't like the Juukou Kiden (Thunder Ultrazord) that much. It was just the robots stacked on top of each other, basically, and didn't really look that great, but rather just thrown together.

Kakuranger (our Power Rangers season 3 and Alien Rangers)- The Muteki Shogun (Shogun Megazord) just plain looked cool, escpecially when the Tsubasamaru (Falconzord) hooked onto it to make guns on the front. The Kakure Dai Shogun (Ninja Megazord) was also great.

Ohranger (our Zeo)- I liked the Ohrangerrobo (Zeo Megazord) OK, and the multiple helmets it had were a pretty cool idea, even if they were rarely used. I especially liked it when they formed with Red Puncher (Red Battlezord) giving it two massive should cannons. The ultra form was just putting the robots all inside King Pyramider (Pyramidas) and sticking Red Puncher on the back, so it really wasn't that creative of a combination. The Ohblockers (Super Zeozords) late in the season were pretty sweet.

Carranger (our Turbo)- The RV Robo (Turbo Megazord) just looked cool. The later Megazord, VRV Robo (Rescue Megazord), took it one step further by making the vehicles turn into individual robots, and then the bigger robot, but the individual robots looked dorky.

None really stand out for me until Gaoranger (our Wild Force)- The GaoKing (Wild Force Megazord) was pretty basic in design, but could combine with other animal robots or replace some with others for a whole crap load of combinations. I think I saw a site on it, and from what I understand, there are about 120 or so combinations, including possible combinations not shown on the show.

Hurricanger (our Ninja Storm)- the first Megazord, Senpuujin (not sure what it's called here), was pretty unimaginative in design. Dolphin was an arm, Hawk was a head, Lion was the rest. The other one, Goraijin (the one using the bug robots) wasn't too bad looking. The combo of the two looked pretty cool, and the one with all the robots put together (along with Tenkuujin/Samurai Star) looked freakin' sweet.

Abaranger (our Dino Thunder)- Again, the Abarenou (not sure what it's called here) was kind of unimaginative. Triceratops forms the arm, not sure what the Pteranodon does, and the Tyrannosaurus forms the rest. However, I agree with Obi (or is it just Juan now? :p ) about the combos with the other individual dinosaur robots to adapt to their situation. That is pretty neat. Just one question, what does the Brachiosaurus do?

Not sure about an individual zord. Ranger-wise, I was always partial to Billy, but they booted him at some point in Zeo, which made me mad. I guess I kind of liked the Ryuuseiou (Red Dragon Thunderzord) because it could transform into its own dude. The other robots just seemed to make armor for it rather than combine, which made it look more important.

And RexRaptor, sentai started in 1975, not the early 60's.

Season one (Possible 2) Dragon Zord, but the orginal Tyranasaurus is a close second. The Orginal Megazord is also my personal favorite.

It's all about the Dragon Zord, for me, with the Ninja Megazord running close second.

But personally, I'd have taken any of them if Kimberly came with it! :inlove:

Look apone my pic, and you shall see the GOD OF ALL ZORDS. He is the ONLY zord NEVER to be destroyed!Your right he is a God, but not of all Zords. You see, in the Senta Serise, all of the Zords were Gods in that season.

Well I chose to use the American names instead of names of their Japanese counterparts because, as the majority of us are Americans, its the one that most of us will be familiar with. Well, as long as you say what it is in the US, its ok to use the Japanese names. (That would even be a good thing because its nice to be aware of the Ranger's Japanese roots.)

And yes, Juan's alright! :)

As for Kimberly...:( She and Tommy made such a cute couple. I was so certain that they were gonne marry one day. It was especially nice when Tommy became the White Ranger, now she was the leader's girlfriend! But alas, Kimberly left the team to pursue a career in gymnastics in Florida. She passed her colors to Kat and we thought that Kimberly and Tommy might have a long distance relationship. Hey, Tommy stayed loyal to her when he left the team back in the day, didn't he? But she didn't stay with him. He was in Ernie's Juice Bar when he read a letter from Kimberly that said that she had found someone out there in Florida... she said that they should see "other people." :( Sad...

However a tip of the hat to Kimberly might have been seen in a recent episode of Dinothunder (or American Abaranger). The Rangers get zapped with a reversal ray and Kira turns in to a pink clad shopaholic who worries that fighting baddies might leave her with a chipped nail. And as before, its love at first sight with a bewitched Ranger who walks the path of evil before but chooses the path of good.
Maybe its not all bad. :inlove:
