Varan vs. Rhedosaurus

Ack, Rhedo murders Varan. All those claws, teeth and spines will quickly tear open the dino, and then comes the infection...

Without it though I'd give it to my boy Varan. As I said, those claws, teeth and spines would dice him up.

Wait, what size are they? If they're movie sizes, I think Varan could squish the Rhedosaurus before he got seriously affected by the poison.

What about the fact that Rhedosaurus has poisonous blood that once Varan easily has come out due to dicing him up will infect him? :p

Believe me, I'm an uber Varan fanboy, I wouldn't be voting against him if I didn't truly know he can't win ^_~

Take in the fact that Varan has been exposed to radiation(right?) and his body system could fight it off.

There really is no proof to that's he's been around radiation, he's just big because well, he's more of a prehistoric animal.

Also, poison and radiation are different. Bio-Goji was obviously exposed to radiation, yet he was affected by the poison/bacteria injected in him.

The Bio-Goji arguement is stale. ANEB was designed to feed on Godzilla's radioactive property. Of course its immune.

Varan, for as far as my knowledge goes, is just a very big, very ancient dinosaur. There never has been mention to him being radioactive as far as I'm aware.

In any event, the Rhedosaur takes this one. Its quite obviously a well armed predator, and I think it would rip Varan limb from limb. Varan's only advantage is that it can glide / fly / what have you, but we really don't know exactly how combat effective that makes it. The Rhedosaur also seems to be more manuevarable and just plain meaner, like compairing a Boxer to a Rotweiler in a sense.

Rhedosaur gets my vote.

Rhedosaurous is more agressive then Varan, if I'm not mistaken. Plus, he is well armed. Even if Varan did kill Rhedosaurous - that I seriously doubt - Varan would get covered in the poison blood, and die. So, Win or draw to rhedosaurous.

IIRC, It took time for the poison to kill humans.

Kaiju are much bigger and chances are it would take a very long time, if it did at all, to kill a kaiju.

By that time, the battle would have been long over.

Oh but Rhedosaurus wins anyways, it's just better equipped at fighting.

I agree with Aragorn_Strider on that. I doubt that the Rhedosaurs blood would have any effect on Varan. I have "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" here somewhere. I'll dig it up and see what it tells us.

Actually, they're really on par. Varan has everything Rhedo has, minus the blood, and more. He has claws, good strength, a big mouth full of teeth, and then loads of spines, great swimming, and the flight.

Then don't forget, Varan's fortitude out-classes Rhedo by a mile.

Rhedosaurus wins. Varan can fly at what, 1 mile an hour? And its not like Rhedo can just lean up and grasp him and rip his membranes apart. And we all saw how Varan reacted to poison...

IF Rhedo gets busted open, the blood poisons Varan.

Umm, that 'poison' was a salt-like powder, not even close to poison, just something he disliked ;)

And according to Toho Kingdom stats, Varan glides at Mach 1.5, which I'm just guessing is faster than 1 mile per hour :p
