Larva Battra vs. Gamera 1995
Arena: Hokkaido
Rules: This is the Gamera from "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe" so Gamera doesn't have the mana ray. Both are Heisei sized.
Who Will Win...

Eh. The larval form versus a fairly agile flier with respectable attacks? Interesting...

-_-;
MM, sometimes you come up with pretty one-sided matches.

Gamera would SLAUGHTER the worm.

Would he? Battra's skin is very resilient. And the Prism Beams are nothing to laugh at. And his burrowing ability would help him alot.
Though Gamera is very tough...
Undecided at the moment.

I think they both could win, depends on how they would fight. Abstain for now.

I'm leaning Gamera, for his flexibilty alone. His firepower is nothing to sneeze at either.

Gamera's going to start off with his plasma balls, and since Battra has no way of stopping/avoiding them, Gamy's gonna keep on chucking until it breaches his armor. Gamera has all the things Godzilla doesn't to beat Larva..

Yeah, ya gotta admit Gammy loves using those fireballs in clusters. And man if he got on a roll with those...sheesh I'd actually feel kinda sorry for the Larva...

Food for thought:
Gamera might have an easier time than that. Unless he was controlled and made to fight, would he even fight Gamera, defender of the earth?

Umm...I think every kaiju in a KK fight has the attitude that he/she wants to fight and kill the other....

Hey it was an idea.
Couldn't Battra burrow to avoid the plasma balls?

*say your in Battra's shoes*
Would you be able to dig away when you're being pelted by a salvo of huge fireballs that killed Super Gyoas in one hit?

Battra isn't that fast anyway.
Gorjirus

True.
Though the only reason it killed Super Gyaos is one shot was that it was a one-time only power-up from the oil refinery.
But would Battra's beams do any damage, or is the fight that one sided?

One- Battra completely ignored Heisei Goji's breath. Now, Gamera's plasma balls may be more powerful, but it's evident that Battra is plenty resistant to energy attacks, particularly in his larval form. Certainly, he seems more damage-resistant than any Gyaos we've seen to date.
Two- The larval Battra only took flight after taking a close-in physical beating- and while Gamera is more than capable of dishing out the hurt at close quarters, Battra's not totally helpless.
In essence, I give the edge to Gamera, but it's not going to beas easy as some here are saying.

Gamera's balls have something Heisei Goji's beam doesn't: powerful, explosive force. Force that can knock Battra Larva on his side. Force Heisei Goji can only dream of, and the same force that caused Gyaos to pop in a way Heisei Goji can't hope to achieve.

Battra Larva never retreated, and he is a capable fighter in hand-to-hand(especially with energy pulses that keep you from grappling him up front). It is his strong point in this fight. But Gamera won't be going into hand-to-hand unless Battra somehow manages to completely ignore his plasma balls, which is severely unlikely.
In essence, I give the edge to Gamera, but it's not going to beas easy as some here are saying.
It doesn't make Gamera's victory any less inevitable, either.

I don't remember Battra having a energy pulse. When was it in the movie, or was it in the Japanese version?

Look at his horn during the fight with Goji.

I had forgotton about that. But would Battra's beams do anything? We know what Gamera's attacks would do, but what about Battra's beams and energy pulses?

Yup, but it doesn't matter. Battra is going to have to come out of the grouned eventually if he wants to do anything to Gamera....
I think Gamera would win this one, his balls pack a strong force when they pound on other objects. ;)

Or maybe you all should just ignore it. It's not like he meant for it to come out like that :p
