Toho quietly announces Kaiser-Ghidorah

There have been many occasions where threads have gotten off topic in the GFW section with Kaiser Ghidorah being the one causing so I decided to make a thread about this new ghidorah incarnation. Any rumors or ideas on this monster can be posted here.

I know Death Ghidorah was operated by two suit actors, was there any other? Biolantte was pretty huge, she could have easily emcompassed two suit actors. It will be interesting to see how Kaiser Ghidorah works. I can't wait to see the design! Do you think he'll have four limbs, or will his arms become the wings? And if he does have four limbs, will they be arms or will he mutate into a quaderped?

The report of a 4 legged King ghidorah that we all thought was fake will probably count as evidence here...I think he will be 4 legged. Otherwise there would be no use for 2 suit actors. Think of him as Monster X (the first form), Death Gidorah, and Grand King Ghidorah combined. He shall prove to be quite spectacular!

All is good. I dont care for him either way. He has a sweet design, but thats all that appeals to me about him.

I really cannot wait to see him. I personally hope that KG would be a quadruped, it just adds to that feral, bestial air tremendously. I really hope he's going to be different from the previous Ghidorahs, but still retain that certain charmonly Ghidorah has.

okay, i say that it should either be CII's design for Ghidorah, or maybe some kinda a Centaur like Ghidorah. think of it, he has a four legged body, and then, at the front of it, his body twists upward and he has a Grand Ghidorah design from there. it might be kinda hard for him to lift the rest of his body with only one pair of wings, so, we have another pair on his Centuar back. this would end up making him huge, and have a jaguar like stance making him very fast.

Personally, I'm just a tad disappointed Monster X's cool design actually turns out to be an alleged larval stage of Kaiser Ghidorah. I was hoping it would have been an updated version of that infamously awesome Kaiju that never was in a Godzilla film, Bagan. I'm a little apprehensive in that this is a quadrupedal Ghidorah similar to Death Ghidorah from Rebirth of Mothra. I just hope Emperor (Or Kaiser, whichecever you prefer.) Ghidorah doesn't sound like a constipated elephant trumpeting in pain. >_<

it states in the report that the name translates to KAISER ghidorah kaiser being the russian word/equivalent of EMPEROR. it didnt say his name was emperor ghidorah. it merely explained the meaning of the word kaiser. hope this clears it up.

as for kg being in the film...i couldnt be more thrilled.

Supposedly(I am not fully convinced this rumor is true yet) it's Monster-X's final form in the movie. Supposedly it has four legs. Not much else is known about it.

Same here I like Monster X just fine without going the cheap route and having a Ghidorah.Until I see either a Bandai figure or something put out by Toho like a picture or maybe the movie itself I'm holding off on believe it but until then I'm simply referring to him as "Monster X" which you can't go wrong either way since that's what he is.I'm happy with what they have already this guy looks like he's much more dangerous like he can fight the way Godzilla does -only this time he might end up beating him at his own game.That thought is much more threatening than a less-mobile three-headed dragon on 4 legs in a combat situation.

And, some of you people seriously need to get over it. MONSTER X IS GHIDORAH. It has been PROVEN, and Toho isn't reporting it BECAUSE they want to surprise everyone. NOBODY except us is gonna know about Kaiser Ghidorah until the movie is released and Toho finally puts Ghidorah's stats on their website. So, I'm not waiting until December to prove to myself that Ghidorah is in this movie, I am readily excepting it as the truth now and not be embarressed when the movie comes out. Um.. wow.. guess everyone is taking Kaizer Ghidorah to heart. Hmm.. looking at that Monster X picture it also looks like those spike things on his arms may become wings. I pray to God Kaizer isn't a rehash version of DesGhidorah. Personally I image Kaizer Ghidorah having Gyaos like wings where they double as legs when he walks and runs, uses them as hands for close combat and then unflaps them to become wings.

I always though KG was just a fan rumor, but now with more evidence arising from the depths, it looks like this may and probably will happen. I have more faith in Kaizer Ghidorah being in the film than GINO...

I would never have written about Kaiser-Ghidorah on Henshin! Online if it was just a fan rumor. The info I got came from a source who's "in the know" and one that I trust 100%.

I never meant to strike a shot at your crediability, besides I did say that more info was coming out that has proven to me personaly that Kaizer Ghidorah is fact. I just presume since I haven't been checking sites for news for a while that it might have been another rumor like BioGodzilla.

(Sighs) before someone comes after me screaming and with a knife, I say that because after a long talk with Ed Godziszewki (at G-FEST '99 mind you!) he told me that the whole BioGodzilla story originated from a fan board (I can't recall which one.. I think it was Goji world or something) from a fan who claimed to have an exculsive on the "new" movie only to admit later he made it up.

and one more thing... how can some of you not call Monster X "new?" Look at Megaguirus, she was considered new and she was the queen Megauron, a monster from Rodan!

More than 3 months after the news was first reported by Henshin! Online, Toho has added Ghidorah to the monster lineup on their FINAL WARS website

It's hard to convince people to just take your word for something, but I was pleasantly surprised that a good 90-95% of the people on the message boards did just that. I take that as a real strong show of faith in the accuracy and reliability of Henshin! Online (and me :D ). Three months of being called a liar would have been pretty annoying.

Of course, finally having some corroboration from Toho is pretty sweet...

Incidentally I went to Godzilla.co.jp today and found the Hyperlink page but I'm still not sure what it's all about.I saw the parts where it has a section for each movie after going to the hyperlink page with the movie posters and then next on each movie there's links for what monsters were in it but some aren't complete like Kiryu was missing and strangely for GMMG it goes to the top of the monsters page. If anyone can translate or at least explain what the main purpose of the hyperlink page is that'd be a big help.

Just the idea of a Ghidorah makes me cringe somewhat. I guess it's because he has been overused, imo. I just wish Monster X was just his own form and nothing else. Hopefully over time, I will get excited about this, because at the current time, I am not. :(

Well, the thing is, no matter how overused some of the kaiju are, the fact that they've appeared so many times gives them priority over some others this time around. I'm glad Ghidorah is appearing, but I'm still dissapointed by Mechagodzilla's absensce. I don't care this this would've been the third film in a row, he SHOULD be here! It's the freaking Anniversary movie! Mechagodzilla, along with Mothra and Ghidorah, is one of Goji's most celebrated foes...how could they possibly justify excluding him from this?!! >_<

The news was covered on the MZ boards. The Kaiser-Ghidorah news was posted on Henshin! Online months ago, and there's not enough new info about that to justify another article right now... there's no photos are information other than Toho added the monster to their lineup.
