I'm planning on buying the "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms" DVD for 20 bucks pretty soon and was wondering if anyone else had it yet, and if so, what do you think of it?

I have it, and it is really nice to see the film finally on DVD and given such a nice presentation. There are a few extras on there with Ray Harryhausen and Ray Bradbury, plus trailers for some other giant monster films. I would advise, however, hitting a Best Buy and seeing if you can't snag it for $14.99. Why spend more money when you don't have to (plus you'll be $5 closer to getting 'The Black Scorpion'http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I bought this DVD and Gorgo together from Amazon.com. They cost me $44.44 for both of them. They're worth it, but Clint's advice is very sound- I probably should have checked Best Buy before I ordered them. At any rate, though, it's a movie well worth owning.

I totally agree with Gorgozilla. Now I set my eyes on the "Gwangi" DVD. I don't find any interest in 'Black Scorpion'.

Black Scorpion is an awesome movie and the DVD is great. The picture is great and its got some nice little extras that you probably wont see on any other DVD. Its really a nice DVD and totally worth having it.

THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS (1954) basically helped start Godzilla, but it doesn't include a Komodo Dragon, neither does KING KONG (1933). Anywho, there is a U.S. movie called KOMODO (2000) with SPFX done by a few crew members from the JURASSIC PARK (1993) SPFX team. For BEAST, I doubt you need to purchase off Ebay, as it is avaliable at Best Buy for a nice $14.99 as opposed to the regular, suggested retail price of $19.99.
