"I just thought you guys might want to know about something I see as prety significant. Tonight, Dr. Madblood of SKY TV4 in Tidewater, Virginia and Kitty Hawk, North Carolina will be showing Godzilla vs. Monster Zero. Madblood has been around for 28 years and has several regular cast members playing literally dozens of characters. You can checkout his his website (http://www.madblood.net/) for further details.

"I see this as fairly significant for a couple of reasons. First of all, corporate ownership of most decent horror and sci-fi films means hosts are typically relegated to public domain films. *Perhaps Toho's sudden generosity or the age of the films now makes them more affordable. More important, perhaps, is the simple fact that Toho films as well as Universal, Hammer and Warner Bros. monsters used to be very accessable over local airwaves and maybe, just maybe, this is going to mean a reclaimation of some lost territory for monster and horror host fans.

"For what it is worth, we always run a horror host segment in CreatureScape because I think these guys are important for the community of fans. The more opportunities people have to see Godzilla the better and so if horror hosts can return to showing these films, I am all for it!"

Who here grew up like me watching all the great Kaiju films on Creature Double Feature on WLVI 56 in the early 70's till the early 80's?

If you did were you one of the lucky ones who had a VCR and still have any of them on tape?

unfortunatly i was born in '85 so i missed all the cool crap. i guess it could be worse i could be YOUNGER. i pity the kiddies who have trouble finding all the stuff i have now. took me my whole life to collect all the godzilla movies on vhs...now i gotta get them on dvd lol. but now the internet has made everything easy and you can just get them all off ebay...i had to wait for them to be released or rereleased in america one by one....

Those are all old. The current rights I know are:

Godzilla Raids Again- None.
King KOng vs. Godzilla- None.
Godzilla vs. Mothra- AMC
Ghidrah- None
Monster Zero-AMC
Ebirah-AMC
Son of Godzilla- None

Godzilla vs. Gigan-sci fi
Godzilla vs. Megalon- sci fi
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla-sci fi
Terror of Mechagodzilla-AMC
Godzilla 1985-None.
Godzilla vs. Biolante- HBO, I think.

godzilla 2000- I believe it's Encore, or something like it.
Godzilla vs. Megaguirus-sci fi
GMK-sci fi
GXMG- None.
S.O.S- None.

I think that's it, but the Heisei series really messes it up, since they've been shown on AMC, Sci-Fi, and Encore/Cinemax/etc.
