I'm working on redoing the look of the monster Viras. I'm trying to make him look scarier and perhaps a bit more lovecraftian in nature. I'm looking for opinions on what he should look like.

Should I keep that crown on his head that turns into a horn, or should I get rid of it?

Should his beak remain where it is on the original version, or should it be surrounded by his tentacles like that of a real squid or octopus?

Please give me your opinions. Tell what things that you'd like to see changed and what things should stay the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How 'bout putting the beak inside the crown, surrounded by smaller tentacles?

And give him multiple eyes. When doing something scary looking, I try to make shure it looks as inhuman as possible, and one of the things I do is put multiple eyes in "clumps."

And lastly, how about altering his posture from that strait up stance to a more squatting style position? And put a little weight on him, as I thought he looked waaay too skinny.

How about those ideas?

what BS said. keep the spear\crown thing and give it multiple eyes. and he should probably ly down and drag himself along with his tentacles. and the beak should be in the center. and maybe give him more tentacles tipped with spears or mouths. or maybe give him long spear blades pointing owtward and have him float around instead of crawl.

just some suggestions.

Maybe if the suction cups on the tentacles could drain blood/life...
