Rules: One person asks a question, and when a member gets the answer right that member asks a question, and so on. (Note: Questions can be true or false, fill in the blanks, multiple choice, or just normal ol' questions).
I'll ask first (though this might be an easy question, but I can't think of any really hard ones just now):
Question #1: Where did the original concept of Bagan (for the original draft of The Return of Godzilla) originate from?
January 3rd, 2004, 12:53 AM
Answer to question #1
Bagan was a monster invented to battle Godzilla in 1984, but he was dropped from the film. Throughout the 80's and 90's, he was considered for many films, including one where he battled Mothra, but he was never used and most likely never will be.

Question 2: Who is the first monster seen in Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2?
Emperor Violenjiger
January 3rd, 2004, 02:35 AM
I am sorry gzilla04, but that's the wrong answer... I asked where the concept of Bagan (three separate God monsters who form into one) originated from... not give me a background on Bagan. http://www.rodansroost.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Better luck next time. Here's a hint however: think the late 1970s (after Terror of Mechagodzilla).
Key words are:
1. "Henry Saperstein"
2. "UPA"
3. "The Omen"
4. "The Exorcist"
5. "Reuben Bercovitch"
6. "Spider"
7. "Fish"
8. "Bird"

I'm not sure I know what you mean by that question, but I'll try to answer it anyway:
The first Godzilla vs. (Enemy kaiju) was Godzilla vs. Mothra, which had the Japanese title of Gojira tai Mosura. King Kong vs. Godzilla doesn't count IMO, because of the wording of your question (you said Godzilla vs. Enemy kaiju, while KK vs. G is Enemy G vs. Godzilla).

Alright, here it goes Tristen:
Toho Producer Tomoyuki Tanaka was flying back from Japan after a Indonesian-Japan coproduction movie fell threw, and looked down at the ocean depths. Tanaka had to make a subsitute film for the demolished project, and there, on that plane, Tanaka concieved Gojira. 4. Angilas

Mecha-Rodan
February 9th, 2004, 10:11 PM
Godzilla never battled with Destoroyah. The only connection he has with them is that his "death" was about the same time as their "creation." (I quote because Shodai goji's original death is messed around with during the Heisei series, and the Destoroyah crabs were already there for millions of years. The oxygen destroyer simply mutated them)
And, the Showa timeline has nothing to do with the Heisei timeline, and even so, Godzilla is proven dead in GRA, so that godzilla is an entirly new one.

Mecha- Rodan has the right idea, so it goes to him. I don't know what he really meant, but the answer was that he never fought any kaiju. The monster in 1985 - Destoroyah was a new Godzilla.
About the futurians, though, they moved the 1980s Godzilla too the Bering Sea. When it came in contact with nuclear weapons (the first submarine), it grew to 80 meters. In 1992, Godzilla was attacked by another submarine, making him 100 meters.

February 24th, 2004, 05:17 PM
Is there one right answer to that question? In any case, I'll give a shot:
I know Tanaka from the begining wanted to make a sea monster from the start, and that Tsuburaya had made a few modles before they pick the one that would become Godzilla, but I never read what the others were, given that anyone even knows.
That's hardly an answer I know, but what else could it be?
Just asuming that I'm right in answering that, here's another question, however, if I was wrong, then pay no attention to my question and guessing at Henry-Venetta's question, other wise it wouldn't be fare.
I don't have time to read all the qustions ask on this very long message braod, so I don't know if it has already been ask, but here it goes:
Question: Ture or flase, at the Japanese end of KKvsG Godzilla wins.

I would've settled for just MechaGodzilla.
Dark Warrior is correct...
And for a history lesson, I thought I'd just take the time to try and explain (hopefully I get this right):
Originally, Toho planned to have the MechaGodzilla rebuilt. Meaning we would've had like THREE GODZILLAS (counting Little Godzilla, it would've been four). Imagine MechaGodzilla being there to try and stop SpaceGodzilla with Godzilla at his side. Would've been quite the showdown.
But alas, Toho didn't like the idea of having too many Godzillas and revived Moguera.
(If anyone has more information, you're more welcome to explain more.)
