(well I dunno how long this will last being that malis a walking mutant factory but here goes. Oh and is it alright if I make my monster a bit smaller than in the other RPs so as to better fit with its environment?)
somehwere in the pacific.
The noon sun blazed overhead.
A couple laid out on the deck of their 38 foot yaght. 3 more people resided below deck. The 3 below were part of an aquatic research team. They were readying for a project on the local humpback whales in the area.
A few minutes later they were all on deck, the host, A blonde american woman of about 24 held up a microphone in front of a cameraman.
"and were on in....now!" he said.
"good afternoon" said the woman. "this is caroline kreugese on, oceananic world. Today we have a special on the rare and beautiful humpback whale. An endangered creature, these are truley magnificent creatures." She turned to the water just as a foam of bubbles broke the surface.
"Ah! Here we have on now!" as she waited, she continued, "At lengths dwarfing 90 feet, these gentle giants are undoubtedly the most powerful creatures on the globe (someones never read MEG.....) here we have a WHOA! Look at that!" she cried in aw as the huge cetacean burst from the surface. The crew stared as well, at the magnificent mammal made its pressence known. However their aw quickly turned to puzzlement as the whale hit the surface and lay there like a floating log.
"somethings wrong." said the cameraman.
Then they saw the blood.
A red pool was forming around the immobile whale.
"What the....? What could have done..." suddenly another splash broke surface. Their first thought was a bigger whale, but the surge of water grew too large, towering larger than an apartment! Then they saw the head. A hideous mug, at least 30 meters long! Covered in a jagged green exoskeleton, and dominated by a wide, slavering toothy may that could engulf a swallow a tank, the snakelike head continued to rise until it towered 20 meters out of the water. The crew could see the hideous face even more now, made even more horrible by the nasty lava-colored eyes, and the insect-like mandibles. Even below its barbed insectoid pincers were an even larger pair, much larger! jagged, and saw edged, the pincers could have sawed a cruise ship in half! Jagged ridges adorned it's brows, jaw and chin. towering spines ran down its neck, and an iguana-like dulap dangled from its throat.
Clutched in its greusome jaws was the whale!
The creature shook its head from side to side, shredding the carcass as it descended back beneath the waves, carrying its prey with it.
"did you SEE THAT!??!" shrieked the cameraman. "It...It ATE that whale!!"
"Lets get out of here!" a man from accross the deck said.
Nodding, caroline ran to the control room and began working the controls. In seconds the boat was speeding away from the scene of the attack, the waters still tinged with blood.
Benath the waves, malkuirus swallowed the remains of her meal. She had found prey plentiful in this area and was gorging herelf in a frenzy. Suddenly her serpentine tremorsense began to pick up a new disturbance. Quickly it ascended.
A young female crew member who, only moments ago was sunning herself on deck looked out to see a massive dark shape heading for the boat.
"Look!" she pointed. Heads turned to see the jagged spines break the surface as the mutant gained on the boat.
"Hang on!" carol screamed as she veered to the left, trying to evade the oncomming leviathan.
Malkuirus kept pace with the boat, she was still trying to figure out if it was edible or not. Now that she had seen the squirming creatures aboard, she was sure. The familiar tiny creatures were tricky to catch and sometimes even dangerous, but were worth the trouble. As the object veered to the left malkurus veered too, preparing to capsize it.
The woman who was watching the port sreamed as the mass of spikey indigo flesh erupted from the water, smashing into the hull, shredding it and overturning the boat.
Wood, equipment, and people flew out from the boat as the hunk of wood smashed to bits.
The heads bobbed up over the water.
"anyone hurt" the owner of the former yaght, a man in his 20s said, swimming around, searching for his wife.
"over here!" she called to him. He bgan to move toward her to help but stopped.
A huge black shadow appeared beneath her. She seemed to register this as she screamed.
The spiney crest broke the surface and the cavernous upper jaw loomed over the girl as malkuirus began to feed.
The woman's head vanished beneath the water as she was sucked into a vortex of swirling water.
Malkuirus raised her head from the water, swallowing her prey.
As soon as she appeared she vanished.
The crew stared in a mixture of awe and horror. They knew it was hopeless now. The vortex reappeared beneath them once more...
Makuirus reappeared at the shore of the tropical island that she had claimed as her own. She heaved her massive form onto the beach and began to bask. Digesting her meal of whales and humans.
Sometime later, the bushes began to rustle. Malkuirus paid no mind. Nothing on thsi siland seemed to be any danger.
just then a small human appeared. A dark skinned native of the island, roughly 12 years of age. The chimeric beast ignored him. The boy motioned for the rest of his party.
Immidiately malkuirus was startled by shriek. A swarm of humans began poaring out from the woods. spears flew. Most bouced off mali's exoskeleton....but one caught her strait in the eye!
Malkuirus shrieked in anger and with one swing of her left arm decomated the swarm. carefully she tried to pry the spear from her optic orb with her tongue.
More humans poared from the forest. freeing the spear the chimera let loose with a spray of venom.

Baktura rested, Baktura slept. Absorbing energy from around in, the earth itself. Slowly, very slowly, his horns flapped. Resting, absorbing. Always, for eventually, it would be used.
In his dreams, screams of death, terror, and gore echoed in his ears, the most pleasant thing he knew.
