The first two RAKI movies are currently out-of-print. They are succumbing to age and the fact that they were not, let's say, originally produced on state-of-the-art equipment. *We are looking into ways of saving/restoring them. (There is even a
possibility of their being incorporated into a Special Edition RAKI movie.)
The third film, FURY OF THE GIANT MONSTERS is still available and has been screened several times at G-Fest and other sci-fi conventions around the United States. *
The in-production RAKI vs. GRAMUDA has been experiecing a number of production problems. As soon as things get a little more settled here, I will be uploading things to the TG2WAC Pro mail list (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TG2WAC_Pro/). Also, there will be a photo spread in SHONEN HERO MAGAZINE #6, in addition to THE OFFICIAL RAKI vs. GRAMUDA BOOK. All of these things are being timed to coincide with the release of this film.
The films are $15.00 each. SHONEN HERO is $5.00 per issue but write for prices of older issues.
Ordering information for the films and SHONEN HERO:
TG2WAC Pro

Address your letters "To the Attention of: "..." or "TG2WAC Home Video")
TG2WAC Pro also publishes SHONEN HERO MAGAZINE and LOBO Magazine. They can be contacted through the above address.
We are hoping to get a print catalogue out by January 2004. *However, as you know, these things take time and we are, after all, merely Two Guys With A Camera!

I know him he lives around where I live and I might soon be helping him with his flicks. Very nice guy to talk to. Sorry about resurrecting an old post though.

Thanks for posting, Allo, and never worry about resurrecting an "old" topic! I'm glad we don't have to periodically "prune" stuff and then end up having to write it all up again when a new member (or anyone) brings the subject up.
Raki & Co. also have their mail lists (the Raki Fan Club (http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/rakifanclub/)and the "official" one (http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/TG2WAC_Pro/) where a lot of the discussion takes place.
For those who might be wondering, Jeff Krouskop posted Raki's stats:
Height: 450 feet tall (425 feet in MONSTER MOVIE and RAKI VS NEMESIS)
Weight: 620 tons (608 tons in MONSTER MOVIE and RAKI VS NEMESIS)
Gender: Male
This is from March 2003 but since it was handy... :)

The Curse of Monster X (US ’04)
A member on the Godzilla yahoo forums you saw the film stated the title beast of "The Curse of Monster X" is indeed Raki himself under another name or persona. Also that this film was produced exclusively for a convention where several children were asked on the first day to participate in the finishing filming. According to the same source, either one of these lucky kids or all of them go giant size to battle Raki / Monster X at the climax. Again, this is to the best of my recollection.

Yeah I remember that. I was at MARCON when they filmed that and got to see it. For their almost non-existant budgets they do a fairly impressive job.

LOL! I just watched "The Curse of Monster X", and I'm very impressed! Considering how little time, and that they did this on zero budget, this came out VERY good. They even dubbed it, making it seem like it was a foriegn kaiju movie! =D I like Raki's design, too.
*Watches again*
ROTFLMAO!! XD XD XD
EDIT: I thought I deleted that quote...

Can someone get me a pic of Raki?
If you go to the link above, you can download the short (five minutes) move "The Curse of Monster X", which features Raki as "Monster X". For a pic you can go HERE (http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Vault/2775/g-fest.htm) (scroll down, Raki is the blue monster on the left side), but this seems to be an older and less refined version of the suit. I would recommend watching the movie, as it has a better looking version of the kaiju.

You guys have got to see this fan film, I think it was made by some kids. The monster look like an Ultraman monster or some from Kaiju Big Battle.

Actually, the monster is independent / fan film monster star Raki from a series of video films from Two Guys with a Camera Productions or 2GWaC as they're calling themselves these days. This film was made for a convention to the best of my knowledge.

From John Cassidy:
Just to let you all know, I put an entry for Raki on Wikipedia!
Also, look for mention of it in the "Tokusatsu Around the World" section of the Wikipedia "tokusatsu" entry!
