Where does everybody buy there kaiju DVDs?
I used to think my neighbourhood was void of any place that carried kaiju DVDs. Thats until I found CD-PLUS in my local mall. This is the most amazing store Ive ever been in. Its got everything imaginable, anime DVDs, Music DVDs, classical films, a HUGE music selection and a small, but growing video game selection. They've also got Giant Monster DVDs in an average amount. Ive seen most of the Ray Harryhousen films there, as well as the sinbad boxset.
I got Classic Medias "Ultimate Godzilla Boxset" there, and to my surprise the Gamera Trilogy set (Which I bought). And the Godzilla 50th Anniversary Collection(Which I plan on getting). The service and workers are aways helpful, and will look something up if you can't find it.
Where does everybody else get there supply of DVDege?

I buy most of mine at Best Buy, mainly because I am a member of their "Reward Zone" program. So for every $100 I spend in BB I get a $5 gift certificate. It may not sound like much, but when you buy a TV or another large appliance, and they turn around and give you a $200 gift certificate it's not bad.

Best Buy=cheapest
Media Play
Suncoast
Sam Goody
fye=most expensive
And sometimes you can find them at certain Walmarts, which is good since they're usually cheaper there than anywhere else.

I get my stuff mostly from Bestbuy. I sometimes go to Borders or Suncoast. Those are the three main stores I go to.
There is a special DVD store in my mall called Saturday Night Matinee and it has a very good DVD selection.......Just cost alot.

It's the same company as FYE. Saturday matinee, FYE and Record Town are all the same company, that is unless something has recently changed that I haven't heard about.

Around my area, Suncoast and Borders are my priority choices.
But if I'm too lazy to take a trip to the East Wood Mall area, and I can wait several days to get my wanted movie, I just get it off of ebay.
Best Buy, Circuit City, and For Your Entertainment are the other places I get movies from.

Usually Ebay, Amazon or this awesome store called Tokyo Kid in Cambridge, MA http://www.tokyokid.com/shopping.html. If you find yourself in the Boston area, I recommend a visit to Tokyo Kid for their great selection.
The Best Buy near me only carries the latest G flicks, no other Kaiju. FYE is way too pricey, usually 5-10 dollars more than anywhere else.
Deep Discount DVD has nice prices but I don't know if they can be trusted.

I usually get my giant monster DVD's for my birthday or Christmas, I usually don't just buy one out of the blue. Sometimes if I'm at blockbuster or Hollywood video and there's no games or I can't find any movies, I might rent a kaiju movie for the VHS or DVD. I used to go the comic con for my kaiju DVD stuff, until it was ilegal to import Japanise films to America. Atleast I got my hands on Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla, Godzilla vs. Destroyah, and Gamera: Incomplete Strugle.
Too bad i'm not going to comic con this year...

I buy most of mine from Best Buy because they are usually cheaper. If they don't have it, then I just go to Suncoast even if they are a little bit more expensive. Borders carries some but not much and they are expensive themselves so I rarely buy movies from them.
Once in a while I'll buy them off of Amazon if I can't find it or want to save some money like I did with the Godzilla Vs. Gigan and Godzilla Vs. Hedorah DVDs. I saved a total of about $15 than if I would have bought them at Best Buy. So I go to about three places.

I usually end up going to A&B Sound for the majority of my kaiju DVDs. I can never find them at Wal-Mart, and the Best Buy closest to me never seems to have any of the newer releases (eg. Varan the Unbelievable). And quite often, not even A&B has the ones I'm looking for, so I head for Amazon.ca.

I usually go to newbury comics, because it's the cheapest, but they usually don't have what I'm looking for, but the sony Godzilla DVDs for only $20 is still a good deal. But I go to Tower Records because they carry some out-of-print releases and sometimes bootlegs, but I usually can tell if it's a bootleg. My last resort is usually Suncoast because they usually have the new ones when Newbury Comics and Tower Records don't.

Most frequentley, I go to media play. The prices are usually reasonable, and they've got (generally) a wide selection of monster movies in stock (In addition to godzilla movies, I've bought a Gorgo dvd, the Gamera trillogy, The first 3 tremors films, Timeline, Jurassic Park 1-3 on VHS and, later, DVD, and Chased by dinosaurs). Sometimes, I go to FYE at the mall, however, it is rather expensive. Usually, I buy movies that Media play doesn't have there. But some are VERY overpriced (Rebirth of Mothra 2 vhs cost me $25!). I occasionally visit Best buy, but usually for non-Godzilla DVDs.
