For everyone who was wishing they could get MONSTERS HD (http://www.kaijuphile.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5269), check the Dish (http://www.dishnetwork.com/) Network. Apparently, they have acquired Zoom (of which Monsters was a part) and are now offering their programming.
I'm thinking our kaiju schedules can be supplemented from the larger satellite/cable providers' listings IF their grid formats are versatile enough to weed through the other 119 channels of static. :sarcasm: The MONSTERS/ZOOM site is presently down so we'll see what develops on that front.

It appears that Godzilla 1998 has been heavily cut for the showing today at 8. I think they've cut it down to 90 minutes (plus about 30 mins. of commercials)! Unless the times on my schedule are wrong it's definitley heavily edited!

For those with Comcast digital cable, they currently have Mothra available in the Free Movies section.
Since Comcast changes their movies around every so often, I have no idea how long Mothra will be available. I think it's probably safe to assume that it'll be up until the end of February, but don't take my word for it.

The February Kaiju TV movie listings are now up in the Calendar.
Classic Sci Fi (http://www.classicscifi.com/index.php?option=com_csfschedule&Itemid=27) does full CURRENT month schedules but DISH (which carries the MONSTER HD channel) is only good for 10 days at a time so I'll try to get back to them around the 14th. DISH also provides Spanish language programming so I'll include Kaiju in espanol listings.
Starz Entertainment Group's (Starz, Encore, Encore Wam!, etc.) various feeds should show up in the Classic listings.
Comcast ON DEMAND Kaiju offerings now have their own pinned topic which I'll scan when I do the Calendar.
If anyone is on other NATIONAL coverage systems, let me know and we'll see about trying to include their programming.
What I would like to be able to include are Canadian and UK showings also so I'll see what we can come up with on those fronts.
BTW, MOTHRA will be broadcast on the ENCORE ACTION (East) channel at 8:50 AM ET on March 11th. ;)

For all Canadian members: CBC will be showing the original Godzilla (1954) tonight at 12:00 am ET. From what I gather from the listing on their website, it is the uncut Japanese version with English subtitles.WOW! Here in the colonies, you almost need to have a satellite service to get any decent monster programming.
DEP, could you provide a link to the CBC site, as well as SPACE(?) if that is the major sci-fi provider up there? I'd really like to be able to include Canadian and European offerings in our listings. Anyone getting the BBC, I wouldn't mind looking into figuring out an efficient search pattern for them also.
Ideally, I would think ClassicSciFi.Com (http://www.classicscifi.com/) could best handle a worldwide/English language schedule but they haven't even included MONSTER HD which I get off the DISH site itself.
Any other listings our members would like to see monitored, please advise! :)

Here you go:
CBC (http://www.cbc.ca/television/)
Space (http://www.spacecast.com/)
Sadly, Space hasn't shown a Godzilla film in a couple of years now. They occasionally have shown Godzilla 2000, but that's about it. They used to have large Godzilla marathons (with G54, GvsMothra, MZ, G's Revenge, and Terror of MG) back in the day.
As for CBC, the only kaiju films they've shown in my lifetime have been G54 (which I watched this evening)* and possibly Frankenstein Conquers the World (which I tape-recorded when I was 8 years old).
*Seeing Godzilla '54 for the first time was mindblowing, even though the print CBC used had some problems.

I dunno... during my drive through Canada last fall, I saw more good material on Space than I ever have on Sci-Fi.....
After all I have heard about Sci-Fi, I say space is the better Channel. But space (or any Canadian Channel) rarely has kaiju films. Over the last 6 years, all space has shone is Godzilla 2000, King Kong vs. godzilla, king kong escapes, and a long time ago Frankenstein Conquers the world. The every so often CBC will play kotm, gvm, and tomg, but thats all I have seen. Drive in Classic "Canada" never has has any thing eather (even if thear commercial has seens from tomg).

:O Wow, every other time CBC has godzilla it's "king of the monsters", and my digital cable listed it as Godzilla, King of the Monsters- staring Raymand Burr, so I diden't bother staying up to watch it. I thought it was just like all the other times.
Gojira last week, Godzilla Raids Again this week, what is going on. Is Classic Media playing their products on tv befor releasing them on DVD.
Yeah, actually, my digital cable listed it as GKOTM as well. But the TV guide that comes with our local newspaper listed it as the 1954 film, so I had to check CBC's official website for clarification.
BTW, I didn't see Godzilla Raids Again listed on the CBC site for this Saturday. They had The Last Samurai in their movie slot instead. Where did you find out about GRA's 'premiere,' such that it is?

It was on my digital cable listings.
And just befor I read your post, I went to CBC's site and in the folowing weeks they will air GRA, RODAN, GVM, and Ghidrah, The Three Headed Monster. It looks like their will be more, but the listings stop at august.
I didn't see anything on the CBC site, but I checked my local TV guide and it confirms GRA for tomorrow night. The only deal is that there's a discrepancy regarding when it airs in my area (Saskatchewan) - it's either 11:15 pm or 8:00 pm CT. For some reason, I'm actually not as excited about GRA as G&M on Space. I actually like the former movie a lot more, but the fact that Space hasn't shown a kaiju movie in ages is enough to interest me this time around.
Also for Canadian viewers: Turner Classic Movies will be showing Mysterious Island and Clash of the Titans back-to-back, starting at 2:00 PM CT. I don't know if this also applies to American viewers, since I know you also have TCM down there.

I'm in the Central Time zone but post schedules as Eastern Time since it comes first. It's also for consistency and might be the easiest for anyone else to convert (unless you have to deal with "Pacific" feeds). Alaskans are on their own! :p Incidentally, this forum can adjust calendar events depending on what your personal settings are and which method is used to make an entry. I'm not sure what the default is so best to check your Control Panel. ;)
Better still, pull up the monthly calendar view and click the shows you're interested in or just mouse over. Sometimes the blurbs they provide can be rather "entertaining" in their own right. There is also the REMINDER option.
It was mentioned whether it was GOJIRA or KOTM that was being shown. Twice now I've seen instances where a listing for "Godzilla" had both KOTM and GINO in the same grouping. Yet GODZILLA 2000 came up the way it should. Go figure...
DISH/MONSTER HD will also get the descriptions mixed up. Of course, "Big dinosaur battles big moth" can cover more than one flick!
Regarding GRA, I picked up the listing as 1:15 AM ET, Sunday July 9th. Now if you're in the western part of either country, it would still be SATURDAY. The CBC site default is Ottawa/Eastern Time but you can set the thing via postal zone or country. You might want to use the FULL DAY view also.

The IMDB has ROM at 104 minutes so I'm wondering if it wasn't a transposition on the classicscifi.com site where I pick up the schedules, other than what is pretty much exclusive to DISH.
ROM II is given as 97 min. vs. 137 min.

If there are any particular films that I might not have in the search criteria, please list them. MONSTER HD (http://www.monstershd.com/content/Adobe/monstershd_schedule.pdf) (on Dish, possibly exclusively) provides a full month's schedule of their programming at the beginning of each month and gets a thorough look-over. The rest is compiled with a key-word search of Dish's listings. Two sites that had been doing sci fi type compilations went by the wayside so I just selected probably the largest source of information to refer to. If anyone has a bigger/better "source" to refer to, let me know and I'll check it out. :)

I originally wrote this article for some DeviantART groups I often contribute to, and might as well post it here just to share thoughts and opinions on the said films. Please note this was written with non-kaiju fans and novices in mind.

Every Thursday night in June, Turner Classic Movies will be airing classic (if not infamous) science fiction and monster movies for their Drive-In Double Features spotlight series.

Many of the said films are centered around our favorite subject of giant monsters, and as such, we'll be doing a Movie Alert for each night of this series, with a quick rundown of the chosen line-ups. It should also be noted that a lot of the movies are both new to TCM's programing, and haven't been played on mainstream cable in a very long time (or even readily available through DVD), so its certainly a cause of interest for us monster movie fans.
Here's what to expect come Thursday, with a bit of my own commentary thrown in. And please check you local listings for exact times and schedules.

Japanese Monster Classics
8:00 PM Eastern - "Godzilla, King of the Monsters" (1956)
The American version with inserted scenes and new storyline featuring Raymond Burr; true, it would have been nicer had this been the uncut Japanese original, and hopefully TCM will do so in the future, where Godzilla doesn't have to share the limelight with other films in the evening. However, its still awesome the cable network is airing Kaiju Eiga, let alone as the first feature of the month-long series.
9:45 PM Eastern - "Rodan" (1957)
Again, the shorter American cut of the film, but "Rodan", in either version, is one of my all time favorites, which is a straight monster movie with some truly impressive scenes of destruction, caused by an equally nasty title menace, and well before the Rodan became Godzilla's comical sidekicks in latter films. The movie also has unexpected, but very welcomed horror-vibe throughout, such as the murderous Meganulon Insects and their brutally battered human victims. And the traumatic flashback to the title monsters' subterranean hatching, which has an 'indirectly Lovecarftean' feel to said segment. Highly recommend for those who've never seen it before, "Rodan" comfortably sits between the two emotional extremes of the Kaiju Eiga (Japanese monster movie) genre, as both darkly serious, and spectacularly imaginative.
Japanese Monster All-Stars
11:15 PM Eastern - "Ghidorah, The Three-Headed Monster" (1965)
If there's one thing I love about TCM is its insistence of presenting films in its original widescreen / letterbox format whenever possible, and although this is again an American version of the Japanese film, all evidence points to the preferred presentation. Despite the heavy editing by the original US distributor, and having some controversially silly moments (an argumentative meeting between monsters, translated by fairies), for those who've never seen a Japanese monster movie before might want to check this colorful romp, which illustrates the imaginative, fun, and utterly bold (if not insane) nature of the genre. Not to mention being the film that introduced the world to Godzilla's arch-nemesis, the three-headed space dragon destroyer of worlds, King Ghidorah.
1:00 AM Eastern - "Godzilla vs. Monster Zero" 1966
Also known as "Invasion of the Astro-Monsters", this arguably darker, more serious sequel to "Ghidorah" has a lot less monster action (if fact, very little at all), but surprisingly still works viewing wise. This is largely due to the presences of American actor Nick Adams, whose always fun to watch in these films, with his spot-on enthusiasm; something that most other imported actors to Kaiju Eiga often lacked. The film also features the first appearance of the memorable humanoid inhabitants of Planet X (dubbed Xlians), whose emotions and entire way of life is ruled by the cold calculations of technology; a fear that director Ishiro Honda had for humanity's own future in real life.
Jurassic Classics
2:45 AM Eastern - "Dinosaurus!" (1960)
Inhabitants of a tropical island are threaten by trio of long dormant prehistoric creatures, which include a Tyrannosaurus, a Brontosaurus, and a Caveman. One of several giant monster movies from producer Jack H. Harris, that I actually prefer over to his way more famous creation "The Blob". "Dinosaurus!" has an adventurous feel, and other related elements that are more accustomed to Kaiju Eiga than American monster movies, such as the latter two prehistoric outsiders actually being good guys. The special effects (filmed in full-blown color) are a mix bag however, with the Brontosaurus coming off better than his predatorily counterpart, the Tyrannosaurus.
4:15 AM Eastern - "The Valley of the Gwangi" (1969)
Like all of the gathered films for the night's programming, "Gwangi" is new to TCM, but in my opinion is one of spot-motion animator's Ray Harryhausen's lesser works. The special effects and dinosaur animation is great as always, but the rest of the film is rather down-beat endeavor, with a less-than-subtle cynical edge. This is not something you'd expect from a cowboy-meets-dinosaur-adventure originally conceived by Willis O'Brien (effects man on "King Kong", 1933). To be fair though, I haven't seen "The Valley of the Gwangi" in ages, so maybe my opinion of the film might change upon revisiting it?
